I used Dreams Unlimited through the main DIS page. My agent is Sue Ellen and she is wonderful! We are going to be there Sept 30- Oct. 2 and then we check into the BWV for the rest of our trip. :cool1: DU will give you a no pressure quote and will work with you on everything from PS to tickets for special events and tours. I used DU a couple of years ago and our trip was one of the best I have ever had. I am a fanatical planner but sometimes my work sched. doesn't allow me to be on the phone for long periods of time and DU does it for you! Check them out. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Sorry but I have never used a travel agent before..do they charge a fee to book through them?

I read on another board that they were replacing the carpets in the North Garden wing halls. Also, the halls were primed, ready to be painted... No news about the actual rooms though.

Dreams Unlimited doesn't charge a fee. I believe they are paid a commission from Disney. The great thing about DU is they will add any codes that come out to your reservation. They are also great about getting PS's. I like the webpage they have for you to request your PS's.

Thanks Sherri,

I was thinking about trying the CR (even though it's not that appealing to me) for Feb 06. The rates for the wing rooms seem reasonable (for WDW) for our family of 5. Seems like DU was able to get everyone an AP rate. I might use them since I think they have a better chance of securing an AP rate the morning they come out... :confused3

I really need some info or reassurance from any one who has stayed concierge at the contemp.
This will be my first concierge trip and the trip is a special one as I have planned a suprise vow renewal at the the Wedding Pavilion.

I first spoke with them on the phone to introduce myself and asked if there was an itinerary that could be filled out for the trip. She almost seemed as if she didn't know what I was talking about but after explaining myself more she emailed me the form.

I've faxed the form back and I must say they were very quick in letting me know they received it.
However I asked some questions which were only half answered.

Also the emails from them seem very generic and aren't "signed" by anyone.
I remember a trip i had begun planning for concierge at the AKL (which I had to cancel) and my emails seemed very personable and were signed by the staff first and last name.
Just making me a bit nervous and wanted to see if this is the norm.

I never received any sort of form to fill out with my requests. I just called or emailed them. The pre-planning concierges are not the same as the ones on the floor. When I was finished, I asked them to email me a final itinery, which they did.

We had a wonderful time. The floor was great, as were the concierges.

I'd suggest calling them at 407.824-1775 with any unanswered questions.

To contrast what i wrote. I emailed the Beach Club as we will be staying there after the Contemporary for our "second" honeymoon. I asked for the form and asked about kids programs. I got another quick reply from a cast member who addressed me by name, (good morning Mr. Smith) introduced himself by name, gave me more information than i asked along with a bit of advice that if I wanted this particular program I should send my credit card as it books up very fast.

It was a great first contact.

Thanks for the phone number Kimberle. Is that direct to the 14th floor or to the planning office. I do wonder which one i should speek to about room assignment. We have all 5 regular rooms blocked for our vow renewal and I want to make sure my sister in law gets the MK view double bed room and that I get the Bay Lake view room.

That I don't remember. I'm sure they'll tell you if you ask them. As there are only 5 "regular" rooms and you've got them all, you should get the room assignments you desire. Maybe they'll even bump you up to a suite. ;)

Just back from the CR- ground floor, North Wing, 7184 rm number.

Sat on the patio and watched the fireworks! VERY close to tower.

Location was excellent.

Did not get King bed- they had no record of the request that I placed with Dreams Unlimited and said I needed to have called 2 days before I checked in to speak to the room assignor.

Stain on carpets, foot- size indentations in carpet, something yucky on extra blanket, but honestly, when you are there and everything is so easy to get to this stuff is the little stuff.

No towel animals- wonder why??

Eyore4Ever149

Glad you had a nice trip! I sure the renovations will take care of those problems.

We've stayed at the CR 2 times and never received towel animals either. Maybe these mousekeepers were never taught. :confused3 No biggie!

Are there any planned kids activities during the day at the resort? I've got 4 children under 12 and just learned there's no kid club!! HELP! :sad2:

North wing question..anyone know if it has been slated for rehab? If so when? Thanks

ditto on the north wing question...

also, no kids club at the contemporary? what happened to the mouseketeer club?!

The kids club closed around last Oct. There are still kids clubs at WL, GF, and the Poly. I have not idea why it closed? :confused3 This is the only deluxe w/out one.

I'm pretty sure that all the CR is being rehabed. They can just do part at a time.

I've heard rumors that eventually, don't know when, the north will come down for a new DVC.

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
I want to stay at the North wings eventually!

I apologize if someone already asked this, but does anyone know the AP rate for CR Tower room this summer?

Has anyone had any luck with requesting a specific room # ? We are kleaving this Sat. and I made a specific room request. I am not expecting it but I would love it if it was granted. :flower:

Ok we have decided to try the CR wings..I had heard that you should ask for odd # rooms for castle view..is that only in the tower or does that apply to wings too? What should I ask for? I'd like to see Bay lake but be close to the tower building & walkway to mk...
