CR 14th Floor suite and lounge

Thread that has pictures of a 14th floor MK 1 bedroom suite with 3 balconies. It also has several photos of the 14th floor concierge lounge.

Wow! Those concierge & suite pictures are great! We get a free night in the tower concierge as a wedding gift from DFTW. Could someone please explain how the concierge lounge works? What times of day is there food out? Any menus anywhere as to sample offerings? Thanks

Yes next August 2008 according to their schedule of renovations and I would assume the menu would be the same since that is still going to be the counter service location.

The computers are in every room of the Contemporary, so that's in both the Tower and South Garden Wing. So it's not just for guests on the 12 and 14 floor Club Levels. Since no one has said they are now charging for the internet then I would assume it's still free. I will know for sure next month when my family and I are back at the Contemporary.

As for you're other question the wing that got closed and demolished was the North Garden Wing.

We'll be checking in to the garden rooms on the 10th. If it's still there and it's still free I'll try to post and let you know

Thanks for the offer. I am actually trying to get reservations fo CR and have been trying for a while now and pretty flexiable on the dates but nothing ever shows up.

Has anyone heard if the temporary food area will have a "help-yourself" soda/pop machine like in the old food & fun center? Every year I attend a non-stop scrapbooking event at Disney with 600-700 other crazy people. We will be at the Contemporary September 6-9. We are often up very, very late and refill our mugs at odd hours of the night....one year on our way to bed, we passed the chefs coming into start breakfast!

If there isn't a 24 hour machine then I'll have to bring my own diet pepsi.

I'm wondering with so many of us coming for the event if some of us might get lucky enough to be put in a tower room....

Thanks for the offer. I am actually trying to get reservations fo CR and have been trying for a while now and pretty flexiable on the dates but nothing ever shows up.

The CR is always very popular, but it has been especially hard to get into since there are now fewer rooms with the demo of the North Wing. My inlaws always stay there and have been calling for months with no luck. But if you've never stayed there before, keep trying. You'll love it.

I am not sure this will be happeing, but back in January 2000 when my family and I stayed at the Contemporary and the Food & Fun Center was closed for a minor renovation, so they said try the Contemporary Sand Bar which is located by the pool. At that time they were selling the mugs there and we got to refill them at that location. I am not sure if they will be doing that again at the end of July when the Food & Fun Center closes, so we just go to wait and see. Since my family and I will be there next month I will post anything that I can find out.

If what I said does become true the only minus would be is the Sand Bar is not open 24 hours a day. However if they are still going to sell the mugs there it's better then not being able to use them.
