This may be old news, but this notification popped up today regarding mobile ordering. I’m assuming it’s due to guests mobile ordering breakfast to park at CR for early MK access. Same notice comes up for Contempo Cafe as well.

Curious if other MK area resorts (or Epcot/Studios area or Skyliner-attached resorts) are doing this as well. I know a friend was unable to get into the Poly a few weeks ago even after clicking "I'm here, prepare my order" - but at that time she was allowed to order.

I get why they are doing it, but it's kind of annoying for someone without a car who'll be at the Poly this summer and was contemplating ordering The Wave to take back to my room one night. At least I've got time to rethink ideas.

Since the message says “at this time”, I wonder if the limits on ordering just applied during the breakfast hours. I can’t imagine anybody would place a dinner order just so they could get into CR and walk over to Magic Kingdom. It would be interesting to see if the same message occurs later in the day.

You can go in the app now from anywhere and get that notice. Didn’t show up for any of the other resorts/restaurants, only Contempo Cafe and The Wave To Go.

what kind of upgrade are you looking for and did you book on points or with cash? I would not expect any upgrade and I feel like I’ve heard when people ask they are told they can get the upgraded room if they pay the difference in price. My understanding is when people do get upgrades it’s not because they asked but something that was a surprise (and likely cause disney over sold a category of rooms or the room they booked wasn’t available for some reason). I’d also be careful asking for an upgrade if you rented DVC points because they may charge the person who owns the DVC contract more points for the better room.

unrelated sort of, I think lake view is amazing at BLT. We had a lake view studio 2 trips ago and it was my favorite room. The lake was pretty and I could see EPCOT from our room in the distance.

If you scroll down just a bit it gives specific views from a lot of standard one bedrooms. Many are not bad!

Can anyone report on what it's like at the resort now with the new dining restrictions at Contempo and Wave to Go? Is parking improved and/or wait times at those locations better? I've been seeing a lot of FB posts about a lot of drivers being turned away at the gates.

I have to admit, with these changes and the refurb hopefully making the resort less busy, I'm really looking forward to my stay this summer!

Just checked out this morning. I found CR to be pretty busy on 4th floor around Chef Mickey’s and Contempo Cafe.

We swam every day Saturday-Monday with no wait to get into the pool.

CR was a ghost town when we were there Christmas week. Definitely more guests now.

I cannot answer to parking because we don’t have a car here.

We Stay at BLT for the most part. and even Pre Covid the parking never was full , We have stayed there 3 times since reopening and it was for the most part only 30% full

BLT standard rooms are the lower floors. So maybe parking lot or maybe lake/pool area.
