I enjoyed it !

We love the vilas . I wish we could get the passholder discount like we used to when it first opened.
Thanks! Our first stay at BLT, we were able to get a AAA discount. They don't offer these discounts anymore, which led us to renting points.

Sorry for all the questions but I want to have all my mice and ducks in a row when I go in October.

I will be driving so I will be able to bring some food/water with me instead of having to get it delivered. I am staying at BLT. If my room is not ready when I get there (which I doubt it will be since I will be there at like 7am), will Bell services store a cooler? Also, will they bring it to my room once I get there or will I need to pick up my luggage once my room is ready?

This will be our first visit to this resort. We have a 4 and 8 year old. We have a Bay lake view room in the main tower booked. Is there any specific requests I should make during online check it. Thanks

Put us on the list! We (DH, DS, & myself) will be staying in a CR GW GV Oct. 20-28. DH's birthday is Oct. 21st, so we will be celebrating.

They will store a cooler. They will also store any perishables in their large refrigerator if you didn't want to lug your own cooler.

Once you are in your room you can call Bell Services and they will bring your stuff to you. Or you can grab it yourself, whichever you prefer.

BLT is sold out to members now. Unless DVC has points back from Right of First Refusal or an owner at BLT is using their points for a non-DVC Disney trip, it is going to be hard to book these for cash, especially with a discount.

Good to know! We had a great experience renting points for this trip, so we'll stick with that going forward anyway. But I like knowing these little nuggets of information!

I'm glad we got that trip last month then. We loved finally getting a tpv villa.

Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle Debuts February 26 at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (From Disney Parks Blog)

Imagine being able to delight in the sparkle of the Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular from an intimate and private observation deck. Celebration at the Top, a new dining event coming to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, can be perfectly summed up in three words: savor, sip, sparkle.

Celebration at the Top guests can check in at California Grill an hour before fireworks. After being whisked up to the California Grill, which sits on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests will be taken to the intimate and secluded banquet rooms. Enjoy canapés, a selection of sushi rolled by the expert California Grill sushi chefs, a selection of flatbreads and other small plates. A complimentary bar offering craft beers, California wines, cordials and coffee will also be available.

Just before the night spectacular begins, guests will be lead to their private observation deck, which offers stunning views of Magic Kingdom park and the fireworks. After taking in the breathtaking sights and sounds, guests can return to the private room for petit four desserts including decadent chocolate confections and fruit tarts.

Reservations for Celebration at the Top are now open for Thursday evenings from February 26 to March 26. Cost is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Complimentary valet parking is included.

We are back from our 2 night stay!
OMG!!!!! We were definitely spoiled this time around.

We had a 2 bdrm suite, TPV in BLT and we were on the 12th floor (room 8222 to be exact). We all enjoyed it! The room was very spacious for the 6 of us (2 grandparents, me, hubs, and 2 kids aged 7 and 4).

The room was modern, the view was impeccable for Wishes....I don't know how we will ever be able to stay anywhere else! We had a reservation at Chef Mickeys about an hour after check-in so we didn't have time to visit the pool like we wanted to! After dinner, everyone was exhausted so we got our mugs and then up to the room. My little one fell asleep within seconds and the rest of us watched Wishes. It was amazing. We could see everything!

We literally didn't have time to do anything but walk from our room to the restaurants. We did room service the day we checked out so the kids could eat while we packed.

It was certainly a trip to remember!!
Thanks everyone for your help leading up to our trip. Now I'm trying to win the lottery so we can go back :)

Excited to join this thread! Just switched our 2 rooms at the Pop to a Garden Wing Garden View 8/24-9/1. It's our 20th anniversary, so even though we liked the idea of 2 rooms with our three kids, ages 16, 14 and 9, we decided to splurge and stay at Contemporary. It never really appealed to me, but we love MK and like to try new resorts, so we booked. Stayed at the Polynesian last year which was great, and stayed in GF prekids, so this will be our last monorail resort to try out. Thanks for such an informative thread!

Add us to the list! We are staying in a Lake View at BLT September 24 - Oct 1, 2017. Can't wait! This is our first time in a deluxe resort. I'm sure we are going to never be able to go back to staying far away from the MK. It's our favourite park and being able to walk or monorail will be amazing.

Thanks for this thread, it's amazingly helpful! I'm heading to a studio Lake View at BLT from 3/6-3/13, finishing off the Monorail Resorts for me (did GF in 01-2016 and Poly in 12-2016). I also booked reservations for Celebration at the Top, so I can't wait to see how that goes.

Are the tower rooms as quiet as the garden view rooms?
We were on the 7th floor and no sound issues. Only issue is the LOUD music from the Light Pageant on the water starts at 9:30pm and they circle back around at about 10:30pm. Thankfully my kids didn't wake up!
