Weird question but I want to know,

Are the showers (the walk in ones) the same size in both rooms 4911 and 4912 (Tower CL king rooms)? I saw 4912 has the tub combo one as well as a walk in, and read it has an overall bigger bathroom. Just wondering. I couldn't really tell from the pictures.

I hate how fast the time is flying! I love the planning part!

Me too.....I love the planning as that's half the fun for me ::yes::.

Super excited for my first stay at the CR! We are doing a split stay, AKL CL [July 13-16] for 3 nights then CR CL [July 16-18] for 2 nights.

Great split, sounds like a great trip :wizard:.

Looking to book Contemporary for marathon weekend. I will be participating in the 5k and half. For marathon weekend last year we stayed at POR. Do a lot of runners stay at the contemporary? Is the monorail running for all the races? Anything else I need to know about marathon weekend at the Contemporary?

I can't answer your questions, but bumping up your post so hopefully others will be able to help :flower3:.

For ADRs I definitely want Hoop Dee Doo (old family favorite- plus now I hear now there is sangria! Benefits to going as grown ups haha.), BOG dinner, and Califirnia Grill. Trying to get my sister's input for others, but the Sci Fi Drive In and Boma are also on my radar.

We've never been to HDDR, but it's one we want to try as I read so many great reviews for it :).

If you haven't been to Boma, I highly recommend giving it a try. It's one of our favorites and is a must do for us every trip. There are some unique items on the buffet, but there's also a lot of other choices for the non-adventurous eater ;).

Hi pas :wave2:.....hope things are going well with you :goodvibes.

Super excited for my first stay at the CR! We are doing a split stay, AKL CL [July 13-16] for 3 nights then CR CL [July 16-18] for 2 nights. My room is showing as "Standard Room - King - Club Level", I had a friend say that is one of the two bookable king rooms on the 14th floor I read about on the first page here. Is that true? If so, awesome! It cost a little more than what was listed online for Atrium CL so I suppose it'd make sense. Either way, very excited!

This is (somehow) my DH's first trip staying on property. I think he will love it.

Also, Question: Is the room decor on the 14th floor different? It seemed less bright and cheery than the decor I see in the pictures on the Disney website for the CR. Just curious.

That's how we were too when we booked those rooms for F&W this October. We thought it was 12th floor until we did a little more research. We're so excited about Tower Club. We have a longer wait than you do, though! :( Share some pics here when y'all get back!

We have the same room type booked for December. I didn't know this room was on the 14th floor either, til I read this thread. I have a severe fear of heights, so I am a little nervous about the balcony. But I'm hoping that great theme park view will distract me from the height! :faint: This is also our first time at CR. I'll be looking forward to both of your thoughts/ reports after your trips. 178 days!! :goodvibes

We stayed in the one with the tub last year, here are some pictures of the shower. I also have pictures of the rest of the room if you want to see anything else :-)

In April, I think we shared with Wilderness Lodge.
That was our experience, too.

Awesome! I am so excited for the balcony. I had no idea that what I booked was "special" until she told me haha. I just asked for a king bed! I'm sure I'll love it no matter how it is decorated

There are only 5 non-suite rooms up on the 14th floor and they aren't bookable/viewable online. In total, there are only 16 rooms on the Tower Club level Vs. 48 rooms on the Atrium Club level. So it's actually pretty hard to get a standard Tower Club room. They run about $50 more per night (rack rate) than an Atrium Club room and you can't book a view, however, all the King rooms happen to have MKVs. You can, however, apply discounts to those rooms, such as the military rate.

Ok- Now I have a question...So did the Arcade get scrapped recently? DD has a card and was looking forward to playing at CR arcade because she remembers it being there from the last visit for dinner.

Just make sure it's a card from the CR arcade because the other arcade cards won't work there, at least that was the case a couple of years ago when we tried to use a card from WL.

Bumping your question since I only run at WDW for exercise. Good luck, BTW!

And apparently I don't know all the acronyms yet- been racking my brain but I can't figure it out- what is OCI?

I'm trying to keep in mind that this does not have to be the last time I go- it'll be ok if I leave some things undone and untried for future trips!

Did I forget to :welcome: you to the DIS and the CR/BLT thread? Feel free to ask any questions that you have - we won't judge you:)

Boma has a great buffet - try it for dinner. Even though we've been many times, I sometimes feel like the next trip could be my last so I need to squeeze everything in there, just in case. I suggest making a must-do list and then ranking everything in categories such as DINING, PARKS, RECREATION, etc… Put each categories' rankings, up to your number of days, into a calendar. Don't forget a Resort Day - cabanas are nice for that day or a massage or some water recreation…How many weeks are you staying and you have unlimited funds, right?

We just left DHS and the CR bus also was for WL.
Thank you for confirming that the route is unchanged from earlier this year. I hope you're having a magical vacation!

Whoa there, what are we up to? Is this a post-BSN graduation resort changeroo or merely a semi-switcheroo add-on?

I can't figure out how to post pictures but we were in 4901 a one-bedroom suite. The room had two queens and only had a tub/shower combo. The bathroom in the suite was great with walk in shower.
Tower club definitely is worth the extra money. Intimate and quiet!
Bus does share with wl and will also stop at blizzard beach if you're going/coming home from ak.
We never waited longer than 15 mins except for a dd bus on one night but it was prime time and we chose not to squeeze in like sardines on the first bus that arrived.
I also recall reading from previous posts that the elevators in cr were a nightmare. We never had a problem and easily took elevators without any wait.

Very exciting. I think we will like it a lot. That balcony looks amazing, it seems like a great room for a first time CR stay. I am so excited!! We used the military rate. It ended up being about $490/night after the taxes/fees & the 40% military discount for anyone curious about those rooms. July 16-18.

After searching and searching I think I figured out what those end rooms look like. They have an extra window....so I knew the layout must be different. It appears that they do not have the couch. There is only the TV cabinet. This picture comes from TripAdvisor reviews and you can see out the window that it is right up next to the canal, so I am guessing this is 5150 or 5151. So....if you don't need the extra sofa bed, these rooms would still be great with the private patios....but we need 3 beds, so I will not be requesting one of them :)

all is good, done with school so of course back to vacation planning ;)

Glad all is good :).

Congrats on being done with school :yay:.....your trip will be here before you know it, which I'm sure will be very relaxing for you :goodvibes.

I vote for an add-on as it would be well deserved ::yes::.

Congrats on the great rate :thumbsup2.

I'd love to see more pictures of your room if you don't mind. Thanks!

Me too :goodvibes.

Decided to do online check-in for our upcoming stay (I normally prefer to check-in the old fashion way). As I went thru the process I noticed that the only option that really seemed to apply was "odd numbered room" which I checked off. At the end of the check-in, I noticed there was a message that we had streamline check-in. Will we really be able to get to the 12th floor with just our MB's upon arrival? I did online check-in at the CR last year and we had to stop at the front desk in order to get a KTTW card so we could access the CL lounge from the elevators. We were told our MB's wouldn't work until we physically checked into our room and tapped our bands, has this changed now?
