I hope not. Or at least I hope they would let us know the plan soon so we can adjust our reservations.

The notice at the moment says “most resort areas and amenities will still be available for Guests to enjoy.”

I guess it depends on what Disney’s definition of “most” is.

There were rumors (who knows if real or not) way back when of an “Incredibles-themed steakhouse” for The Wave. I’d probably argue The Wave DOES need a refurb - or at least new furniture/lighting/freshening up.

With BLT open there should be enough to keep Contempo Cafe open since you need a quick service, generally speaking.

I wonder if with the Tower closed there will be enough demand to justify keeping Contemporary Grounds open.

Outer Rim is only open now Th-Sun - they could stick to that or close it altogether as it was when they first reopened.

Who knows though, guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Yes food options were open when the tower was closed before July. And CM staff has already been recalled so very unlikely any "need" to close.

We still don't know if Disney is planning to do the entire tower (all rooms) at one time vs individual floors or blocks of floors. They can do TPV rooms on a floor by blocking at the elevator lobby area on a floor and then do Lake view rooms on a different schedule.

Try washing baby bottle in those sinks. So glad we will be past that this stay.

I would be saltier than the Dead Sea! You should see what my bathroom counters look like on trips. Sephora has less products.

The first thing I thought when I heard about the refurb was “please let us have counters in October”.

That’s been my strategy, too. Note the pool of water in the left sink, those sinks don’t drain well at all!

Got lucky tonight & a couple of standard view garden wing rooms opened up for Sept 30- Oct 2. By the time we decided to go for the 50th, the Contemporary was booked. We’re going with DS & DDIL & decided since it is such a short trip we would just save $ & stay at AS Movies. Excited we’ll be able to just walk to MK & not have to deal with buses & Ubers that day.

Got lucky tonight & a couple of standard view garden wing rooms opened up for Sept 30- Oct 2. By the time we decided to go for the 50th, the Contemporary was booked. We’re going with DS & DDIL & decided since it is such a short trip we would just save $ & stay at AS Movies. Excited we’ll be able to just walk to MK & not have to deal with buses & Ubers that day.

We really ought to have a meet up that weekend, half of the boards are gonna be there it seems.

I started online check-in for an April trip. Looks like the options are no housekeeping or every other day. I don’t need my bed made but I’m wondering about shampoo. Does CR have individual bottles of shampoo or the big dispensers on the wall?

They have individual items. If you need more, just call housekeeping and they’ll bring them right up. They will probably also restock them during every other day housekeeping, but they may not if they think what you have is enough or they don’t notice.

FYI, the every other day housekeeping is “housekeeping light” - towels and toiletries, coffee refills, light sweeping if needed, etc. They are not making beds or anything more substantial.

Oooo, thanks. I didn't think about coffee. If they're not going to let me sit in the lounge and have a croissant with orange marmalade butter, breakfast on the balcony is the next best thing.

I hate to have housekeeping for one person, but would like to wash my hair occasionally -- and drink coffee .

Not sure if Disney hadn’t released all rooms or if they had a group cancellation or what. But we booked 2 rooms last night & the same room category is still showing as available right now. So if anyone is looking for CR for those 2 nights, go get it!
