But I know myself - if this were me, at booking I’d sit here and think I’m making the “smart decision” by saving a few bucks with the Hospitality Suite, but then I’d get there, get in the room, be annoyed I’m not in the Tower, and be questioning why I was so concerned with a few hundred bucks, which is pretty tiny in the relative grand scheme of a typical WDW stay (generally speaking).

HI, I know I posted when we came back from CR that we probably won't be back for 2 years. Well, DH now has the same Disney fever that I have and we are thinking about 2026. Just the two of us and probably CR Atrium again.

You had me at 35%. CR Tower at that kind of a discount is a no brainer, in my humble opinion. I'm not good at BBs and am usually booking late with limited to no discounts, so I'm very jealous!

Definitely a great deal! Was surprised to find it just after thanksgiving

Thanks to everyone's recommendations on transportation - due to your "bad" (good) influence I called yesterday and booked the Minnie Van for airport pick up for our September trip to the Grand Floridian. (my friends are driving us back to the airport)

I know a lot of people don’t love poly CL but we loved every minute of it! The food is better at GF but walking into the Hawaii building in the summer with that amazing scent is nostalgic for me!!!

I am deciding between two room types at GF, Resort View Club Level ($1560/nt) and Deluxe King Club Level ($1650/nt). Is one of these a better choice over the other? The Deluxe room is bigger, but a $90 difference considering the overall price isn’t much, so I’m wondering if there’s a trade off between the two ie some negative factor about the Deluxe King.

The ones on the 2nd floor do but I’ve heard they are kind of a trek to and from the lounge. There are also the turret king rooms that don’t have a balcony but gorgeous windows throughout

I’m more trying to figure out if there’s a negative aspect to the Deluxe King since it’s larger than a standard room but not priced much higher comparatively (1650 vs 1560).

It’s confusing. Usually when you book a deluxe king you get put on the 2nd floor. Yes it is a TPV but it requires taking an elevator to get to the lounge, it is the same size room, as the others. I have stayed in the TPV rooms on floors 3 and 4 for comparison,

However they also have 6 deluxe kings that are the turret shaped. Those do not have a balcony but are a larger room. They tend to use these for special upgrades or if someone is celebrating. I’ve done deluxe king 5 or 6 times and only got the turret once.

If you prefer one request it but it’s harder to get the turrets.

Three of the turret rooms have MK views and three face the monorail. I've been in all but one of them. Obviously prefer the MK facing ones but will happily take the monorail facing ones. Love those rooms for the extra space. I gladly give up the balcony for the extra room and walk in closet. Never had one on the 2nd floor. Any time they put me there I asked to be moved even if its not a deluxe room.

THIS is the exact reason I told my travel agent (who is also one of my best friends) that I did NOT want a King room at the Grand! Usually, I am a "king over 2 queens" person every single time - but I want easy access to the lounge!

(And like you, @MrsM - at Disney especially I want a balcony!

(Rest are distant)
5) WL - been a while, but space and food
6) YC - but I dislike the wine situation and the mousekeeping here has been abysmal (see: the shower hair clump incident)
7) AKL

BC and Poly don’t make my list. Overrun and chaotic. Never stayed at GDT.

Overall resort:
1) GF
2) BWI
3) AKL
4) CR - due to access to MK and yummy food and great shopping

I would recommend booking resort view. There really are no bad views, the rooms are stunning, and at worst, you will have to take the stairs up or down a floor to the lounge. And you are guaranteed a balcony. Enjoy!
