Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

After we sent all 6 young adults home (haha) my DH and I went to AKL CL for 3 nights alone. I put off staying here for so long because of distance and perhaps not liking the African inspired food dishes. We are crescent lake people but this hotel has blown us away. It’s just amazing. And we liked the club food sooo much better than the YC offerings. Besides being delicious the food is just more substantial over all. And they have an ice cold working fridge 🤣. Our CL room is on the 4th floor and lounge on the 6th. This really bothered my DH but it didn’t matter to me in the slightest. This is our last night here and we will be back! My husband absolutely loved it here and he is not necessarily a Disney person so this is great news for my future trips!!

When I travel solo, I really like Tiffany Town Car. I use Lyft/Uber a lot, but it's it hard to pick out
the right grey sedan when there's like five of them whizzing by at MCO. I can't read the license plates
fast enough, and I get frazzled. I like that you can fill out the ride order form online with Tiffany.

After a bit of an absence, DH and I are heading to The Grand Floridian (main building) in September. Our last trip was June 2023 (Yacht Club Club Level). And I let me AP go shortly afterwards....

A question (though I may have more as we get closer):
How is everyone getting to the resort from the airport these days? I used to use Tony Hinds (Gosh, I miss him!). And the friends we're meeting will be landing hours after us. I've emailed Signature Services about a Minnie Van (it's vacation!) as well as Grayson's (anyone used them?)

Thanks!
I’ve been using GoodRide Express since 2023. It’s owned by one of Tony Hind’s former drivers Riland who I believe took over the business from Tony. Good communication and reasonable pricing. Found out about them from an auto reply after emailing Tony that year. Search for the website, fill out a jot form and he usually replies within hours with a quote. I always get a separate thank you for my loyalty email (since I’ve used them multiple times).

Looks beautiful. How’s the weather feel ?
Here is a on point weather comment from @Gary Stocker concerning the heat. It is going to be hotter this week....

My family visited wailulu and despite florida being the surface of the sun this past weekend we thought it was excellent...however $3 a wing..oof... same price as the wings at Nomad...also thought the burger was top notch but may still prefer Geyser Points more. Really wanted to crash into the Moana pool area it was so hot.

Can anyone compare the walk from room to lounge for AKL and WL Deluxe rooms?

I stayed WL Deluxe so I'm familiar with that one, wasn't keen on the walk but it was doable for my crew. AKL is tempting but we've been scared off by the walking. If it's similar to WL Deluxe I know we'll be ok but if it's substantially more if you get a far away room this might be a bad idea.
We stayed at Kidani 2BR savanna view last October (our departure was delayed due to Milton). It took about 7 mins to walk from our room to the lobby in Kidani. I would stay there again, but not in a savanna .

Hi Everyone! We just finished up the first part of our trip at YC CL. Our room view was fantastic and just a short walk to the lounge (5149). This was a trip with 8 of us and one of our adult kids proposed to his gf and the whole week was fabulous! We love YC but I have to say the hotel was disappointing this time. Lots of technical problems. First there was a day the elevators were down all morning. So frustrating. We could use the stairs down (and did) but could not get back up as the door to the 5th floor stayed locked. Laundry services were down at YC and BC that day also, and of course my teen son only brought 4 outfits for a 7 day trip 🙃. Then, we get a message on the phone the air conditioning will be off from 1-4am in this heat wave. Great. The little fridge in the lounge broke. Water on the floor. They replaced it with a janky black tiny dorm fridge That didn’t work either 🤣. It was just bad all around lol. Food offerings were ok. We then switched to AKL where I am now and I’ll do a little review in the next post. A few pics of our room view and the proposal
Thanks for the review. Sorry for all the snafus you had. Hope the second part of the trip is looking up.

We are 34 days out & DH text me just now asking about changing over to the Contemporary.

We're at BWI in a garden room (cottage) CL. I called and we have 3 MK area options, non are cl but we would add the dining plan. CR TPV, GF WV, WL Fireworks view.

Here's the thing. I have a gluten allergy & Poly was so great about that. But there's only so many options I have as far as lounge offerings. I don't really want to give up cl but a girl wants to eat too.

Don’t forget at WL you could ask about the CL add on. 😉

I would vote for the CR TPV but if you might want to consider the WL Fireworks view, and you would have the option to request the unique add-on of CL access once you get to the Front desk of the WL. The add-on has been $149 per night, and you do need to add it for all nights.

@Dave006 @focusondisney I forgot about that! So, is that $149 per room or per person? Our room is paid for, I put it all on one gift card. If we change, they will just credit our gift card back, correct?

Yes it is $149 per room per night. As to the Credit I would expect the Front desk to figure it out. Just make sure you have you Gift card with you to make it easier to refund the difference.

Note: the add-on option is not a sure thing since it is capacity limited but always worth checking for it.

Obviously you’d be changing before arrival correct? So that should be resolved before you get to the front desk. The phone CM would refund your overage to your gift card when you call to change. I *think* you might be able to keep it as a room credit but not positive. Remember a gift card can only hold $1000, so if your refund is more than that, they’ll have to issue a new card for the extra amount.
