Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Thank you!!!! This is great. We are both perfectly fine walking, though I may bring an insulated coffee cup and get him a Nespresso first thing to prevent excessive crankiness.
If your DH cancels let me know 😂

I love the extra half bathroom and the mini kitchen area is great. I use the sink more than you would think and often stock the fridge with some beverages from the lounge so we don’t have to walk over to grab a drink.

I will warn you the stairs to the second floor are steep. There is often some moaning when we bring the suitcases up there.

I feel the same way about the stairs after a long day out @GADisneyDad14 claimed they were no issue but he refused to take a tape measure along to measure the rise and run of the stairs. I had hoped he would take one for the Dis team.

:chat: 🤣 :offtopic:

You’ve had a lot of input already so nothing all that interesting to add. The CLs are generally on a 3 day rotation for evening food offerings, so anything more than 3 starts to get a little repetitive, if you’re the type to always use the lounge. I agree with others I wouldn’t want that last 1 nighter - I’d personally rather shorten GF and add YC, or just do a GF / BWI split.

It varies of course, but I’m sometimes surprised how some of those larger GF suites pop up closer to the date in question, so maybe keep checking if something other than the Victorian suite pops up?

Sounds like a great long stay no matter what. A little jealous!
Thanks! I ended up dropping the bb and using the stay longer save more on a TPV CL room. This also allowed me to change up the dates so now I’m doing a 5/4/3 split stay which is hopefully more manageable. The bb is a great savings, but can be tough to make work given the limited availability for CL

We did the Garden Suites for the first time late last year. This is going to be a bit of a stretch, but to me the Garden Suites have a bit of a CR 14th floor feel/vibe to the rooms themselves - here you are in the middle of one of the most crowded destinations on earth with chaos and stimulation all around, but you come back to one of the most remote, beautifully designed places on property basically isolated from everything else that’s really just steps away. It’s a great vibe, in my opinion, and such a unique accommodation style with room to spread out. With maybe a couple of nits, we liked the room design and renovations. I find the fact that these even exist rather fascinating, and would love to have been a fly on the wall of the architecture/design meetings way back when.

Very subjective of course, but we didn’t mind the extra steps to the room or lounge. No doubt it changes the way you utilize CL vs other resorts, but you can tend to easily adapt it into your daily comings and goings with no issue. Note we have no issue with walking/distance to the lounge, and don’t tend to be the ‘always using the lounge’ types, so that likely influences our opinion.

For no particular reason we never used the staircase, just walked to the elevator and up to the lounge floor.

I need to go back and look at what I had to say about them at the time because I’m wondering if I was more negative back then and I’m letting the passage of time influence my thoughts my on the positive end. So don’t yell at me if I’m contradicting myself - with maybe some exceptions I can usually find the good in most Disney resort things somewhere. That whole courtyard area really is such a lovely place. 😇

I would like to try the version with the balcony on the second floor as I think I’d like that setup better.

April is a long time away - hope he doesn’t change his mind by then. 8-)
Like that perspective. Yep a nice quiet getaway midday!

I thought I remembered that you liked them, but I haven’t had time to search yet. I will say, the extra 1/2 bath really appeals!

If he bails, that’s ok - right now, he’s happy because the schedule for him involves him meeting me there Monday and us moving to my family’s beach place (that he looooves) on Thursday, with carefully curated Disney plans in between (bc I know my audience 😂). If he changes his mind, I’ll just shift to an MK resort possibly and/or do MYOCL for the weekend and then shift to CL, I’m sure other things will pop up before then. But I love Flower and Garden, so I’ll happily be there regardless! Perfectly fine to go solo, he will never be a big Disney guy, that’s ok.
@Maxie86 chime in?

I have visited her room when staying in those. She loves em.

Just snagged CL at Animal Kingdom for later this month. Does anyone have any recent reviews/stays and pics of the smorgasbord? Any tips/recommendations?
My last pictures were from Thanksgiving and Christmas, but based on recent videos, nothing has really changed. You can start HERE for Christmas and HERE for Thanksgiving. You can also look up videos on YouTube, there are a couple newer ones posted. Enjoy!

🤫 This is a secret don't tell anyone.😇 The garden cottage would be the perfect room for a non Disney loving DH. It's the great spot to get out of the crowds and relax. Not many people go down to the court yard area. Mostly just peeps going to the quiet pool and cottage guests. I do not mind the walk to the lounge. I've had just as long walks to the lounge at YC even though its on the same floor. Before the refeb I did not like the ones with the balcony at all, but now I like them better. No issue with the stairs since the referb either. Bell services will take the luggage upstairs. There is a small kitchen area with a sink, microwave and coffee maker. The best part is the 2nd bathroom! There is a large soaker tub, but I'm too old to even attempt to get in and out of it. 😂

We've started checking out options for our 2026 trip. The 2 that we are most interested in right now are Poly Honeymoon room cl & CR resort view king cl.

Anyone stayed in one or both? Please hit me with the pros & cons. TIA

Wow good potential choices.

First the (1) Poly Honeymoon suite. It is located in the Tonga building right next to the GCH, and Tonga it has it's own King Kamehameha CL lounge (2nd floor) with a curated selection of items. We always found choices for a great quick breakfast before heading to the parks. You also get full access to the Hawaii CL building, and it's normal lounge options.

Pre Covid-19, The Tonga suites had an unlimited Personal In-room Dining menu that was always available. But since Private Dining for all resorts not returning with the exception of at the GF, this great perk is gone.

Now for your CR Choice of the Resort View King with CL access. The (2) Resort View King rooms with CL access rooms are in the Tower Club on the 14th floor, and they actually have a TPV. They have massive balconies like all 14th floor rooms. They are right next the the Tower CL lounge. The lounge may be busy if all the suites are occupied or you may feel like you have the lounge to your selves. The only location downside is that the 14th floor is enclosed, you can't see the lovely Atrium view as the Atrium CL on the 12th floor and lower floors.

Thank you for the info!

Dave did a great job! I just want to chime in the poly one is in the 1st floor and does not have a TPV. The patio is kinda on the main path and not very private…. The CR tower balcony is amazing! It’s so large !

Dd and I did the 1bedroom suite at poly which was on the 2nd floor with TPV and adjacent to the lounge area in Tonga. That one I would recommend.

Rooms are more interesting at Poly but food is more plentiful at CR.

We did tower king twice, love it! I won’t book the honeymoon one due to location.

Yeah, the Poly Honeymoon room is only a marginally interesting room, IMHO. I wouldn’t let the “Honeyroom” moniker lure you in. The lack of a decent view and along a now busier path with Island Tower traffic are factors for me. Tonga patio furniture is the most uncomfortable possible design for patio seating on property. Furnishings/finishes are much nicer though - whether they did or not, Poly suites make you feel like someone approved spending real money. CR suites feel like they were done on the cheap, or cheaper, and frankly are showing signs of wear. (Still love CR though).

For fun I just looked up wait time at HS because we are doing the after hours event next month. I'm starting to get worried. Look at these wait times😳

Ok my pics won't attach. 100 minutes for slinky, 20 for aliens, 40 for mickey and Minnie railway, 35 for toy story mania, 90 minutes for rise. That's insane and so not how they bill after hours. Rise and slinky are normal daytime waits. I'm hoping I didn't make the wrong decision by not getting regular tickets and LL.
