Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Darn! I just asked my husband why we’re leaving on a Thursday anyway?! We finish moving my DD out of the dorm this Friday and leave Saturday so I guess he is just trying to give her time to get unpacked and settled before she starts class again Monday the 19th, but her room is always a mess anyway 😂! If we stay until Friday, she’d still have Saturday and Sunday 🙄. Of course, now we probably can’t get the room for Thursday night anyway…but you know I have to check now lol! Have a great trip! I will be looking for pictures of RPC! We had a fantastic time there between Christmas and New Years…definitely my favorite, although I LOVE the CMs at BWI! The people at BWI keep us coming back!
Aw, you are lovely! I live in San Diego, so I don’t even land until 5 pm - that time change makes it very annoying, it’s either a red-eye (which I hate) or a later arrival than I’d like. Very excited to check out BWI CL!!

San Diego is beautiful! Glad you don’t have to take the red eye at least…those are the worst! I think you will like BWI, especially for the numerous friendly CMs, and Lene is the best CL manager I’ve met! Matthew is also really good! BWI doesn’t have the ambience of RPC ( no others really do IMO) but walking around on the Boardwalk watching the entertainment, preferably with a beverage in hand, is something you can’t do anywhere else! Once the temperatures get too hot, this kinda loses its appeal a bit. Have a fantastic trip!

San Diego is beautiful…until you see your mortgage bill. I moved here (from Boston, too) 18 yrs ago into an obscenely $$ bungalow, and I have refused to move to a bigger home, even though DH has lobbied for years. When I retire or am forced out, we can move somewhere less $$. In the meantime, yeah - I do truly love it here.

Will look for the famous BWI CMs, I have heard so much about Lene!

Heading to WL CL on Sunday, cannot contain my excitement!

We have a split stay to the Wilderness Lodge May 9-13

Yea for your WL stays! We just checked out this morning & moved to YC which is our home away from home. Over the years we’ve branched out to CR Tower Club & RPC. This was our first CL stay at WL. We only did 3 nights & really enjoyed it. We had a pre arrival email & phone call.

Accidentally hit post before I was ready. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We were in room 7059 which was perfect IMO. Second room around the corner from the lounge area, which we really appreciated. I think the rain head shower was 1 of the top 2 showers I’ve ever had in a hotel. And better than the Moen we just had installed with a bathroom remodel a month ago.

The view

My husband said the seasonal salad was very good. I love mushroom soup & was excited to try this. But sadly I did not care for it at all. We don’t drink alcohol, so I don’t have pictures of those, but they did have the beer on tap with glasses chilling in the fridge.

Hi everyone-for my 60th birthday i am treating myself to club level. My question is in regards to the Minnie vans. My plane arrives in the middle of the nite. Therefore we booked a room at the Hyatt. Anyone know if they would allow that as a pick up at MCO the following morning?
As long as you are staying CL, it should not be any issue in picking you up. As far as they know of you tell them your arriving late at night you would like a morning pickup. They will meet you at baggage claim then walk you out he back here they are parked to take you to your Disney hotel.

No photos Monday breakfast, but there was turkey bacon, scrambled eggs & crepe for hot items. There were whole wheat croissants, chocolate chip & blueberry muffins. Fruit everyday was strawberries, blueberries & mixed melons. Breads for toasting included plain bagels, white breads whole wheat English muffins or multigrain bread.

Apps Monday

That’s barbecue sauce to go with the pulled pork. There also was mac & cheese which was really yummy & not typical theme park fare. I also didn’t get dessert photos, but we saw the hot cobbler, 2 types of mini cupcakes & mousse cups each night as well as the vanilla ice cream with toppings.

Yesterday breakfast had scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes & bacon. Pastries were regular croissants, cinnamon rolls, & mini muffins.

Snacks yesterday had left over pastries plus the usual crudités, cheese, crackers & packaged snacks.

We had dinner reservations with our son & DIL yesterday so I stopped in the lounge quick on the way out. The hot items were rigatoni with meat sauce & beef brisket. I couldn’t resist trying a small bite of each. The pasta was ok, a little dried out from the chaffing dish I assume. But oh my goodness, the brisket was absolutely Amazing. So good. I was kind of annoyed I couldn’t enjoy more, lol.

Despite being full, I had to try a chocolate cup cake with mint frosting when we got back. Again, delicious!

Today’s breakfast was a spinach & egg white frittata, pork sausage & French toast strips. Pastries were the whole wheat croissants, strawberry danish & apple muffins. I didn’t pay attention to the cereals, but I did notice today’s hot cereal was oatmeal.

The staff was all very friendly, all the food items were kept replenished. We were pretty much in & out of the lounge, but CMs stopped at our table several times we were there to ask if we wanted them to bring us anything & tell us to let them know if we needed anything.

All in all it was a very nice stay. I really like being able to walk to a park, so that’s the biggest drawback to staying here for me. But then there’s that brisket….😋😋

Oh, the one thing that seemed odd to us…. the room was 2 queens, so occupancy of 4. When we checked in & both mornings, we had only 2 wash cloths & 1 hand towel in the room. We made do & I would have requested more if we really needed them. But we’ve just never stayed in any hotel room anywhere that had 1 single hand towel, no matter what level of hotel. We’re at YC now in a king room, maximum occupancy 2. We have 4 hand towels, 6 washcloths & 6 towels. 😂

Housekeeping being so-so is a feature not a bug, unfortunately (as you already know it)… don't try to find out why/how just call to get what's missing. And no point in comparing to others hotels because Disney doesn't use stars, their only ranking is a checkbox stating “the hotel is called a resort and is on Walt Disney World property” basically it's unticked/ticked, and once it is ticked you get all the wonkiness (and inflated price).
But don't hesitate to call and ask, cast members are the best to fix the show and make it stage-ready (as you already know, as well).

I don’t fault housekeeping at all, don’t even know if the same housekeeper serviced our room for check in & the 2 mornings we were there. I don’t think a housekeeper would overlook the same item in the same room 3 days in a row. I assume it was more of a resort/ housekeeping manager directive in line with the conservation efforts. Either way, it was just a quirky observation that in no way impacted our stay.

Enjoyed the Wilderness Lodge CL photos. Look forward to hearing about your stay at the Yacht Club. Are you doing the Regatta Club Level? If so, how do the food options compare?

Yes, we are CL @ YC too. We’ve always enjoyed YC a lot. But after trips to CR Tower Club, GF RPC & now WL CL within the last year, YC a needs to really step up their game. I peeked into the lounge as we were leaving for a dinner ADR. They had brick chicken w/ a roasted potato & corn dogs as the hot apps. And the same Thai chicken salad they’ve had for years.

It has been the same old stuff for years now on a thre day rotation. Next there will be pot roast w/mashed potatoes, pulled pork, chicken tacos, chicken with rice, salmon etc…not complaining since this year it was hot but it has been the same rotation. Same for breakfast. Mid day snacks they were more choices than the past and night time deserts were decent. You need to ask for ice cream, there is no freezer.

I mean, the chicken tacos and pot roast are 🧑‍🍳😘, to be fair!

Okay, my need to obsessively stalk scored me a move from a regular, water-view room with which I was perfectly happy (I’d already ordered some food/drink to be delivered for MYOCL) to a club level room. Cant say I’m not super-excited though - especially since the forecast doesn’t look so great next week. Y’all are a bunch of enablers.
