Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Wanted to close the loop in case this ever comes up for anyone else - VIP Tour Guides currently have no access for viewing or experiences for Eat to the Beat concerts.

Yeah, not surprised they would say that on the phone. I still say ask your guide that morning. Low probability but you just never know when you run into a “my roommate works the shows there” situation or someone knows someone and you get a little pixie dust. Again, very low probability - and it sort of goes against my personality to ask for things - but you just never know what a guide may offer to help with.

Considering a split stay over July 4th week. Wondering if you can see the Epcot fireworks from the deluxe CL rooms @ BWI? Thanks for any info!

The deluxe CL rooms at BW overlook the BW and not Epcot. You can walk out to the BW and see them from the bridge, though. You used to be able to get a slight view from the small balcony in the lounge, but, honestly, I haven’t been out there in years, so don’t know if that’s possible anymore.

Thanks!! That helps a lot!

That’s so funny because my DS said recently he’s looking forward to playing games in the lounge during our upcoming AKL trip. I explained that Chronos was the only lounge that had that provided games, but it gave me the idea to bring our own!! We still have a trip prior to that one, but I threw some card games into my toiletry bag so I don’t forget them!! They want me to bring Monopoly, since that’s what we enjoyed playing most there, but there’s no way I’m packing that big box! lol Maybe you can bring a couple of small toys in a bag to bring with you to keep the lounge fun for your DS!! Enjoy it!
Just FYI, although not in the lounge, Simbas Clubhouse at AKL jambo has tons of games, movies and activities for free. Our kids absolutely love it there, its really a hidden gem.

Thanks! I did see see it on the YouTube videos I watched! I’m sure we’ll head over there at some point! We just enjoyed sitting in the lounge at night, when the day was over, playing board games. It was a nice perk to have right there in Chronos.

Ahhh... Throwback Friday to years ago when Simba's Clubhouse was open to actually drop off your kids....

Not bitter or anything that the kids clubs all pretty much closed right when mine got in the prime age for us adults to be taking advantage of that option... :goodvibes

We were just like you guys when our kids were younger! Actually, my DD still brings a deck of cards for the random card games. There used to be games at YC CL too, fyi. I say "used to" because we haven't stayed there since Covid re-opening, so I'm not sure what the status is. Great memories of trying to snag our favorite table each night, having snacks/drinks, playing Yahtzee, and planning our next day!

From the rooms, no. You can't even see enough of them from the lounge to make it worth watching from there.
The best view I've had from BWI was our room at the very end of the resort, next to the last room, 4203. It's higher, so you are mostly over the trees. Still have no view of the lake but it's better than any other spot at BWI, and I've tried just about all spots.
You would miss so much of them that honestly, it's not worth even trying to watch from the resort. Not something as spectacular as the 4th (or equally as massive as NYE)
It's worth going IN the park.

It's hard to see exactly but it sure does look like the tiki is still there at the moment, despite clearing everything around it. See, Disney is scared to move it.

I had to do some more digging after that new aerial photo. This post with construction photos from today shows it's still in the same spot. You may be onto something...

That is awesome - thank you! I have stopped and rubbed its nose every run and walk for many years now. Sounds very silly but it's kind of a ritual and a nice moment to pause and reflect on things/life in general. I am totally OK with change - it's inevitable - but sometimes I do hope some things remain.

I understand! I have tons of photos in front of it from years of Poly stays and Luau visits. It's nice to have those memories and things to point out on future trips.

My wife had a work conference this week in San Diego so we decided to do a trip to Disneyland afterwards. We stayed two nights at the Disneyland Resort and currently in the middle of three nights at the Grand Californian. Both are awesome and it’s funny how things we learned may WDW have helped us here like luggage transfer for split stays. The also do early morning entry for both parks which is easy since it’s all walking distance and we are still sort of on east coast time, so waking up early is no problem. Because we made plans on short notice we weren’t able to get club level, but was able to get a Visa card discount. We did get tours of the club level lounge at both resorts and they look great. At DL resort it’s the E-Ticket lounge on the 11th floor with a view of Downtown Disney and Parks. It reminded me a lot of Atrium Lounge at CR. The Veranda is the lounge at GCR and of course reminds me of Wilderness Lodge. The food offerings and times were all very similar to the lounges at WDW. Next time we will have try them.

I have done both of those. We keep hoping to get back !

Good to know about visa discount👍

Agree with DLR lounge, We felt at “home” aka Atrium.

For the Gran Destino club level deluxe suites, it looks like the lakeside rooms are L-shaped, whereas the porte cochere side rooms are shaped like home plate. Any thoughts on the difference? Just the room layout, not the view. Thanks
