Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

You're getting closer! We also have Oga's on a non-HS day, but we plan to hop and keep our fingers crossed. The thought of Disney is the only thing that is keeping me going right now. The anxiety of all the uncertainty in every other facet of life (mostly school related) has been/is incredibly hard. Just keep swimming!

This is exactly how I feel. I also work at a school as an instructional aide in the district where I live and I am also volunteering as a PTA president at my children's school. This year has not been fun. Our August 2020 with CL stay was cancelled. DH does not want to go back without CL. I convinced him to try and just booked a DVC stay at OKW 1 bedroom with the hope that he will enjoy the space and the slower pace of the trip. It will be our first WDW trip without FP+ and CL. I don't know how the trip will turn out to be. But the fact that I have a WDW trip booked gives me so much energy and excitement to look forward to.

Let's start off today thinking about how it could end - sometime in the future when CL returns.

Ok guys. Please don't hate me. Lol. I may switch resorts, again haha. We will spend more time at HS and epcot then MK. May or May not fine at Chef Mickey’s. Quick 3 night 4 day stay.

Current is garden wing at contemporary. My 13 yo son apparently wants to open his door and be on top of chef mickeys. A tower room did open up (as of last night) but it is a little more then I want to spend. Is the tower worth that much more? I think it was 200 night more.

Boardwalk Villa. (Booked at midnight last night). Walking distance to 2 parks. Opens up a lot of dining for the evening. Though I planned dining based on the contemporary lol. I will have a balcony that garden wing doesn't.

I have to call today. I know I'm not supposed to have 2 reservations. I'm off this week and it's currently snowing so is a good day to call.

Thoughts on any of my options? Things to think about? Maybe I should have stayed at Gran Destino

Based on the information you will be visiting Epcot and Hollywood studios more, stay at the Boardwalk. You will love the fact you can walk to two parks, plus the dining options are phenomenal. We are avid BWI club level fans, wish it was open, but that resort is so relaxing and the location cannot be beat. We stayed at the Swan during Thanksgiving week and we were the second party in Hollywood studios both days ( we got out walked by younger teenagers ) Location location location. It is so easy to park hop staying there too. I feel you pain in trying to decide the perfect place to stay, so many amazing choices. We always stay close to where our focus is going to be. If it is magic kingdom, we stay at the Grand, if it is Epcot/HS we choose an Epcot resort.

I went ahead and changed to BWV but lost the AP discount I'm so mad at myself because I had it 2 weeks ago. He said to keep checking back because it does pop up. Seriously though, I spent 40 minutes on hold. Who has time to keep calling? I can't even call from work since it's not an 800 number. I was hoping that since it was available last time, or it wasn't and they gave it to me, that they would give it to me again.

No to redo my plans.

I got my second vaccine shot on Sunday. Still so uncertain about the Canadian border situation though, the end of May is almost certainly going to be a solo trip for me at this rate but my heart just hasn’t accepted it yet. I will end up cutting down to a week if/when that’s the case but probably still split between GF and YC. If I have to turn 40 during a plague I’m doing it with a lapu lapu!!! Even if I have to do it by myself.

Our little October weekend at CR Atrium for the 50th is now like our plan...F? I’ve honestly lost track since 2020. I phoned our TA a little while ago and had her book a Poly stay to start the day we are supposed to check out of CR to extend that trip to 2 weeks. So very much hoping that CL will be back for the 50th in some capacity so we can celebrate...but if we get moved out of the resort due to no CL I am hoping they just drop us at the Poly. And hoping dearly it will in fact be “us”.

It’s officially a year since I last saw my gf in person, when she came down to NY for Valentine’s Day and we went to see the Lion King on Broadway. I miss her so much you guys. Sorry for whining. Those of you who can quarantine with your loved ones please hold them tight. So many families and couples are separated by borders right now.

The prolonged boarder closure is such a challenge for so many. I’m sorry it is keeping you apart. Hopefully things will open up over the summer months and your long delayed reunion will happen for the 50th.

On another note, we had 4 trips cancelled last year. We currently have a long weekend planned with our DS & DDIL, also for his 40th. Supposed to arrive 1 month from today.

We arrive Thursday 3/18 at bwv. Have Epcot that day and can hop to Hs that night, have dinner at Ale &Compass because we really felt it had the nicest menu compared to mono resorts.

Friday AM head to Hs and check out around 11. We ahead to CR in the deluxe room in the GW. Its DD’s 26th Bday.

Epcot and HS close at7, MK at 6. I really wanted CG for her bday so I kept stalking,

Wait, what? BOG at 6:55 with park close at 6? Yes please! Friday is covered.
Wait what? CRT at 6:45 with park close 6p on Saturday. Yes please.
They added 6-7p for those because I had been looking. So far they have not changed park closing times.

ME on Sunday at 5p and got Tutto at 2:20 so we can have a good meal before we head home.

So ya I prefer the convenience of cl and the $ savings as well. However we have had fun trying lots of new things. This will be our 5th post Covid trip. Have to say we are enjoying it. We definitely prefer walking to rope drop park. That’s really the only busy time for transport. So last and this trip we splitting. It wasn’t an issue in August it was so quiet but Oct was tricky when it was all of the sudden busy!

I am still dreaming of cl. Sure do miss it!

kylenne, sorry you have been separated from your gf for so long, hope things settle down soon and you can reunite.

trishadono, enjoy your trip it sounds lovely. Happy Birthday to your DD. We are trying to book for May but that depends on us being able to get the vaccine before then. I spent 8 hours on the computer yesterday trying to make an appt, got one for DH but by the time I could try for me they were all gone. Fortunately I have mad Disney skills and I used every one of them to get that appt!! Hopefully I can get one soon. I keep hoping CL will be back in some form soon. I would be happy with a modified version as long as they had coffee in the lounge in the morning. It won't be the same without coffee with my early morning lounge buddies.

Sounds like a lovely trip. Happy birthday to your daughter. We snagged a late BOG dinner. May not keep it because I switched to epcot resort lol. May eat at Shulas. We don't save eith CL because we still eat out daily. My kids are animals and my husband thinks CL is snacks food ( minus breakfast).

Yay! Make sure to take it easy and get plenty of rest afterwards. I got Moderna and the second shot knocked me out way worse than the first one, I had a fever the first night and couldn’t raise my arm at all it hurt so bad, but the effects were over by day 2. Mostly I was just really tired.

Thanks. I'm in my 15 minute wait now. My right arm hurts from shoveling so I guess my left will hurt soon lol. I got Moderna too. I'm in a vaccine hub and it's empty. Literally walk right in and get jabbed. I'm impressed. I was exhausted after the first so I'm hoping that's it for this one. Fingers crossed.
