Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

For club level rooms, do they give the small toiletries still? Only specific resorts or all club level resorts?
Disney might phase that out (unless COVID changes that, we dream but... it probably won’t 😞) as they remodel, or sooner if they want. I would check back in shorty before your trip asking for recent experience at your resort.

Have we had anyone stay WL CL since the remodel? The photos of bathrooms appear to show the same general use ones as CSR.

AKL appears to show general use ones after their remodel as well.

You may have better luck on the WL thread . Lots of ppl that stay cl there only post there I have noticed.

Good morning...

It’s my families 1st time staying CL and trying to make my final decision on Deluxe Room @ WL or Garden @ Poly; TIA:)!

Dates 11/23-28.

Yes. We were supposed to be at Poly CL 5/2 - 5/11 this year and rescheduled. Changed our trip to 14 days and turned it into a CL split stay between RPC/Poly. That alone would be splurge enough but I’ve been trying to think of what I want to do on the big day (we will be at Poly by then). We will both be turning 40 next year, me on the actual trip and my gf in July.
I would probably either do a monorail bar crawl or just book an ADR at California Grill and get drinks and apps, then watch the fireworks, either at the Poly Beach or from the deck at CG. It can be budget friendly and I prefer it to sitting down for a long dinner. I like walking around and seeing what's going on.

WL is breathtaking, but there Club Level is usually booked 11-12 months out. If you find a room, grab it

How many will be in your party? The deluxe room has more space, but most of those rooms are a looong walk to the lounge. And the views are sometimes blocked on the patio.
I personally love both resorts, but I would choose Poly. I feel like it’s more convenient to get to more parks. Assuming the monorail will even be usable.😬
The pool is better at Poly , at least according to my grandchildren! Also, it’s great to bThe rooms are spacious at Poly but are not closed off as they are at WL. Also, check out postings of the food that’s served in each lounge

Also, it’s great to be able to watch the fireworks from the comfort of the lounge & not have to fight the crowds getting back afterwards. The rooms are spacious at Poly but are not closed off as they are at WL deluxe. The WL wins if you’re looking for more privacy in the room. Also, check out postings of the food that’s served in each lounge as this might sway you in one direction or the other.
You’ll love either one I’m sure!

I have a Deluxe CL Room booked; however, I started 2nd guessing my decision when I found a Garden CL available @ Poly.
If you're going during the holiday season, stay at Wilderness Lodge. It seems like it was made for Christmas.

I wouldn't base the decision at all on past reviews of lounge offerings, as the club lounge situation is going to be entirely different due to Covid. No one knows exactly what form it will take, but it's a given that it won't be the same, as self-service won't be allowed. I wouldn't go into it assuming club level is going to be like it was before.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one as both are great resorts/CLs. The Poly is my favorite overall, but I also love the WL. Good luck!

I have stayed in both of those.

For those dates I would pick WL. The decor of wl at Christmas is the best! The view of the lobby and large tree from lounge is amazing. Nov 2018 I kept saying I felt like I was in a Hallmark Movie. Its that pretty!

However it can be a hike to the lounge. I was with dh and ds was 21. I would run up for desserts or snacks and bring back to them because i don't mind extra steps.

Poly is my fav and most times I choose that unless GF is cheaper I stay there. Cr has been so pricey and I don't get there often anymore.

PM me if have any q's .
Trish

We stayed CL at the WL during those same dates a few years back. While I've not yet stayed at the Poly, the WL is gorgeous that time of year. I don't think I'd want to stay anywhere else during the holiday season!

I would go for WL. As others have said, the beauty of the resort at that time is breathtaking and magical. As well, they now have a salt water “quiet” pool to match the Oasis pool at Poly (since the construction of Copper Creek). If I might make a suggestion- the two CLs will have fairly different dinner offerings. If you are looking to make the lounge your dinners, I would look at the rotating menus for both to see which one would be more appealing during your stay.

Okay, CL family- I feel like I can share my excitement in this thread as I think that you all are the only ones who might understand the yo-yo of emotions I’m going through! We had booked our annual end-of-school trip for just me and DS (it‘s our special week :)) at AKL club (DVC) for this year. Then, our Canadian airline cancelled our flights, so even if Disney opens, we would have no way of getting there. We cancelled the week, cried a bit, and then out of the blue, I was suddenly able to score five nights in a one-bedroom AKL CL in late July AND two nights at Chronos Club (have never stayed at CSR, but have been really wanting to try it based on reviews in this thread). Is it awful to say that now I feel MORE stressed than before I had to cancel, because I am so worried about how they will handle CL? I feel like it sounds so spoiled of me to be concerned about this with all that’s going on, but I thought maybe you all would understand :) .

Well, since your trip isn’t until late July maybe they will open early enough so you can see some accounts of what club level is like post closure before your trip. Don’t feel bad about worrying! We all need something to look forward to 💗. Congrats on your AKV CL score!

It is totally ok to be concerned. We all have our happy things that keep us going and Disney is ours too. I'm so sorry you had to cancel but glad you found a new trip! I hope it is great!
