Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Ha! I won't lie. In deciding where I may want to spend a week instead of GCT CL, room service was one of the factors I heavily considered. Twilight Feast and Sushi. My kids can eat that every day.
I'm a little behind on this thread, but just saw this comment and had to laugh. DH and I were talking about Chapeks interview last night, then deciding what would be our "we're out" moment with the trip, and he laughed and said "well, maybe if they close down some of our ADR restaurants we can just order the twilight feast and sushi to our room every night....I'm down with that" since we're at Poly in July. While that does sound nice to me, I really wanted to eat at all the places we have booked, so for me no RS is a breaking point even if we can order the twilight feast every day. We aren't CL for this trip though, he didn't want to pay for it with all the dining we have booked, but you never know we may decide to spring for it closer to our trip dates if they are indeed going to be open. I can tell you one thing, I need a vacation.

I am so depressed tonight -- like many others before me -- should have been completing my packing and getting ready to depart tomorrow morning for a club level stay at the Innkeeper's Club at the Boardwalk Inn. I had some great fast passes scheduled and perfect dining reservations. And, I was looking forward to a week with my mother full of relaxation and fun. Hopefully, a club level stay will be possible in the future. My wishes that everyone is staying safe and staying healthy.

I have to say, I will definitely look forward to the reports from those of you willing and able to go first thing. I’m incredibly curious to see how it all pans out.

I’m trying real hard not to feel bitter that I never got to experience “real” CL, but hoping that some new amenities will make up for that. Who knows what will happen by the time we go next year?

My view on staying club level has evolved over the past few days. At first, I wondered if it would be worthwhile given potential cuts to services. Now, hearing more about potential restrictions as the opening gets pushed closer to our dates, I'm thinking that club level might be something of a haven, a way to get food (however it's provided) without worries of the restaurant having long wait times or no available tables due to social distancing, or worrying about your ADR being cancelled due to reduced capacity. And club level guests might get preferential treatment for whatever privileges there are to be had upon reopening. Just a thought. We have a split stay that was half club level, but now I'm leaning towards making our whole stay club level.
I appreciate this perspective, and thinking that it's conceivable that even as a resort guest you might not get into your park of choice (or any park) on a given day it might be even more important to have the fullest access to amenities at your resort. I am shooting for a split stay in BC CL and AKL CL for the first week of August.

I got the Mickey 90th anniversary waffle maker from Shop Disney. It works great; you can pretend you are in the lounge.
Mine arrived last weekend, along with my Golden Malted waffle/pancake mix. It definitely helped with some of my current mood regarding Disney. Loved my little mini mickey waffles, probably going to have to pop it back out this weekend based on my current mood.

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share this with my Disney people.... Yesterday was my 49th birthday and around 6:30pm last night we are having dinner and I start to hear music playing loudly out front. (I should have know something was up at this point because all 3 of my kids were promptly at the dinner table:rotfl2:) Walk outside and my friends had planned a surprise DISNEY car parade! All of them were dressed up in ears, costumes, shirts etc. They made tons of posters (dropped off wine and chocolate yum) and some of my neighbors dressed up in full costume and rode their bikes across the neighborhood. It was fantastic and made my year. I guess they do understand my love.

I have participated in a few of these parades for my daughters friends but never expected one for myself!

Anyway, just wanted to share. One day we will all be back in our club level paradise.:D:cool1:

I hope you are able to rebook your trip once Disney is up and running again :wizard:.

I'll be waiting with you :).

Hi all- This would be my first time staying CL- I just made a reservation for a 1 Brm CL room at BC- we are not 100% we can travel as my DH currently has a travel ban at work. But trying to be positive and hoping for the best for Late August. I know no one knows whats going on yet...but can I have Concierge do all my dinning ressies now? Will they do my FP's at 60 days out? Has anyone stayed in a 1 brm- any advice? Thanks all and hoping you and your loved ones are safe!!

Concierge services are not available right now and won’t be until either they announce an opening date or are actually open. You can call them about your FPS, but they don’t actually go in set them up for you. You’re much better off doing that yourself the morning your booking window opens.

You will want to make your own ADRs now. ADRs can be made up to 180 days out so the window is already open. As @cakebaker indicated above you should also plan to make your FP+ reservations at your 60 day mark.

In the past if you opted for the the Paid FP+ option (DSS pilot program), then DSS could make your regular FP+ selections as well as your regular FP+ selections at the 90 window. Right now we don't know when DSS will be back up and running at full speed.

Note: The Concierge group at each resort was replaced with a central group know as Disney Signature Services (DSS). (When they reopen) DSS is available seven days a week from 9 to 5 Eastern Time. 407-939-7777 or via email address: disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com

Yes, I understand. I am currently watching the original Mary Poppins, drinking sparkling water in my Tervis Little Mermaid tumbler, and I’m covered up by my Ariel blanket. (Ariel is my favorite Disney Princess) :flower:

I also had the vcr tape. My daughter had dolls, sheet set, and bath set. I also have an Ariel doll on my desk at work and I take her to Disney and take pictures of her in front of landmarks. We laugh so much at the pictures and so do my students. Kind of like flat Stanley.
