The countdown is on! 29 more days!

My flight gets in at 8:30 am and I should be arriving to the Yacht Club by 10am

I'll have some carry on luggage and if our room isn't ready when I arrive, do I store it with bell services or will the concierge have a place to store it?

Just trying to mentally prepare my arrival day to make it as least hectic as possible!

So exciting!! I love when the countdown is under a month!! Definitely give your bags to bell services!! When you’re in your room, give them a call, and they’ll bring them up for you! Hope you have a great time!!

Hummmmm... I mean, it’s hard for us to pick any hotel over GF, but we do love WL too... for that kind of savings, though, why not?!!

What I liked about my Nov wl cl stay is the friendliness of the cms and the comfort food. Its a nice change from GF RPC. For comparison I did do RPC the Sept prior. For that savings I would switch. Thats a lot of $$$.

I of course can't answer your question for you, but I'm going to vote to branch out and try something new - go with WL. When we first started doing multiple Disney trips we got in a pattern of always going to Poly because we knew it was worth it/fit what we wanted. It took awhile for us to start branching out to other places, and I'm glad we did because each trip becomes a bit different story/vibe. Not sure the length of your trip, but that's a lot of money than can go to other trip plans, future trips, etc. Good luck deciding.

September is over half a year away. Would you be ok with a second deposit for a bit? I would personally book the WL bounceback in addition to GF and then think about it at home.

Once you have the bounceback booked you can change it to whatever is still available under the bounceback even while you’re checked out. You also have until the end of today (11pm ET) to book the bounceback. It doesn’t have to be before you physically check out.

I’d at least put a deposit on it to lock in that price and give yourself more time to decide, we have done this multiple times.

I'm a little late, but I agree with others that I wouldn't quite cancel RPC yet but I'd also book the WL bounceback so you can think on it when you get home. It has been a while since we've stayed WL CL standard room, but we liked the lounge and resort itself and were just not wild about the rooms. Maybe they've been renovated/changed since our last stay. In any event, if you book it, you can go home and look at room pics, etc., and judge for yourself. We do like to try different resorts, so I'd be tempted to at least split the stay (can't remember how long your Sept trip is).

So did you book WL CL??? I agree with the others that I'd at least book it and decide later whether or not to keep it. I love RPC, but WL is also an amazing resort! It's been a long time since our WL CL stay, but any reviews I read seem to mirror the awesome experience we had years ago. I think it'd be worth a try, especially for a $1500 savings .

Thanks to everyone for chiming in!!! We were at our gate at MCO at noon today (about an hour before departure), and I received an email that our flight was CANCELLED. After a lot of calls and scrambling, at about 5 pm, we checked in for a night at Coronado Springs and I’m desperately hoping our flight in the morning isn’t cancelled! So that’s the reason for my delayed response.
We did end up booking the BB for WL St CL room (no deluxe avail) for the following week after our current RPC reservation, so I have both this offer and RPC. Therefore, we have some time to decide!
Current flights are about $400 more for the WL week, so still about $1,100 savings.
My reservations- we have a deluxe RPC room, so it will be a lot more space (almost double the WL room, maybe?). The lounge at RPC is enormous, and there’s so much food there that we would probably just need a QS lunch here and there...
Any and all continued input is greatly appreciated! And it was so awesome after a stressful afternoon to see so many ppl on this board respond to my question!!!
P.S. Due to the Sept. weather and also wanting to have a more relaxed vacation, we’d planned on enjoying the large RPC lounge, a GF cabana day, and maybe even some spa services. So RPC was a great fit for our plans. We also feel as if we aren’t going to get 30% off again anytime soon with SWGE coming! But WL looks beautiful, and I read such good things about the service on this thread. I’m definitely unsure at this point, but am glad to have options!

If it's coach (cattle class) or not coming to America, then i'll fly cattle class.

I have to tell you what sold me on business/first class was a trip from Frankfurt to Denver in coach. I couldn't get my shoes on my swollen feet, so I deplaned in my socks, then opened up my luggage (a big no-no) before passport control/customs and took out my hotel slippers. That was when I vowed no more coach. I know not everyone can swing it, but that was the end of coach for me! I'll stay home first.

Checked into GF RPC yesterday. We had an early (6:30) direct flight from Michigan. We were worried for a bit that we would not get out of the freezing misery that is home right now. Happy to say we made it! We had a much longer wait for ME than I can ever remember having. We finally arrived at resort about 11:15. We were not greeted when we entered so stood the regular check in line and were quickly tended to. The CM acted surprised that we were there because I had done online check in. (I always do o line check in but it never seems to “work”, in that I always have to go through the CC info, etc when I get there. This time, all seemed to be in order because he didn’t ask for a thing). Our room was not ready (did not expect it to be since we were so early). He did tell us it would be on the 5th floor. Since I had twice requested 4th floor (Signature Services and when booking), I was kind of bummed. I asked if anything was available to change and was told no (after he checked). We were taken up to the lounge and found our magic bands did not work. The escorting CM dropped us off and took our bands to correct them. We were not given a tour of the lounge as had been done previously. We were not offered a welcome drink. Yes, we have stayed at RPC before, so not sure if that is why were were just dumped up there, but I appreciate the little extra touches that were missing. We tracked down a CM and asked for a glass of wine. They had just started the 11:30 food service, so we were able to eat something while we waited for our room. We got our room ready text about 1:00.
Our room is on the 5th floor and is oddly shaped (in my opinion). It feels much smaller then the room we had previously (directly below this room on 4th floor). Only 2 queen beds, no daybed/couch. The bathroom has a lovely soaker tub, but it makes for an odd shower experience since you have to climb in and out. The vanity and toilet are also in the same area...no dividing door. I don’t care for the set up.
We came back from dinner last night...no welcome gift. Again, probably a trivial thing, but since we have received at every other resort, it just makes me feel meh.
Regardless, we are not in Michigan and the weather here is beautiful. I am at Disney in a gorgeous resort....life is good right now!

That tub sounds like the one in the octagon deluxe king, yep tricky.

I didn't gat a gift in any of the 3 gf cl stays last year.

Also like you my mbs never seem to work at gf but do everywhere else.

How is the view from the 5th floor? Bet it's amazing! Enjoy your trip! Have a scone for me too!
