Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

One year, we actually did have people take our chairs! And they were sitting right on the Hawaii grass (in our chairs) when we returned to our room around 8pm.

:sad2:

Had success with DSS securing reservations this morning at our 180 day mark. They were able to score every restaurant we asked for. Via Napoli was too late for Marathon eve so I switched it to a late lunch ressie when we got home from DD's dance Nationals today. NBD, it is now literally an hour and a half before we actually were aiming for.

DSS Successfully scheduled for us: Ohana on Marathon night and HEA party with plaza garden view as well. So YAY!

Glad DSS was helpful and they got everything you wanted! :wizard:

Hi, I am trying to locate pics and reviews of CR club level. I think GaDisneydad? Or something like that recently stayed there and gave a review but I can't seem to find it? Can someone please help and post the link or the page number? Thanks

Sure, I can maybe help. My last CR trips were Atrium Club in September of 2016 and Tower Club April 2017. Both were somewhat short trips but I have pics and probably posted some sort of review. Are you looking for Atrium or Tower Club info? If you don't know why I'm asking that, just let me know. Thanks!

Hi, I am looking for 2Queen beds so I think they are called Atrium. But what I am looking for it pics of the lounge. My sister will have her scooter. When we go to the lounge she leaves her scooter and only uses her cane. She has MS. And a lot of the time when she is in close quarters she gets dizzy. The beach club lounge is roomy enough where the food is located that she has no problems. But at the Poly and at times the GF SL she gets dizzy. So I was trying to locate pics of CR lounge too see the set up. See if it is like the beach club lounge. We are going in April and want to stay at 2 new resorts for us. We are looking into BWI and then CR. CR due to the walkway to MK for an easy way back after the fireworks. Any help would be great! Thanks

We will be staying CL for the first time in September. We'll be at YC, when we check in do we go to the regular desk and they show us the CL desk or do we go straight to the CL desk (wherever that may be)?

Attached are some Atrium Club lounge pics. The lounge itself is not quite as big as the BC CL lounge. The food counter/area is notably smaller overall, but there is a larger open area sort of in the middle of the lounge that makes circulation easy. IMHO the lounge has an open feel to it and has never really felt too crowded in my experience. Some CLs (like Poly and SL) can have a 'busy' buzz to them, I don't have that same feeling at CR Atrium - and that's a good thing!

These pics unfortunately don't do a good job of 'showing' the space. Let me dig around to see if I have others.

I'm not qualified at all to opine on your circumstances, but my gut is that CR CL would be a good choice given what you describe.

CR has nice, large rooms as well - among the largest on property.

Thanks, looks like it is large to me. Not too enclosed so to speak. We have never stayed at CR as we always wonder if it is so noisy from the monorail and it being a covention center. But last year my mom and I walked from MK to eat at the Wave and the walk was lovely. And the lobby didn't seem so noisy/busy feeling. We are thinking of a split stay. Going with CR and then hop over to either BC , YC or BWI. We have never stayed at BWI either so maybe the trip should be all new resorts.

Some years back, we had a non-CL stay at CR. The monorail wasn't a problem, but the annoying music from chef Mickeys was! I think they got ride of that though, because so many people hated it. It did wake me (kind of a good thing), but then it was stuck in my head. I can still hear "Celebrate!" repeating over and over if I think about it.

The atrium floor (and Tower) are both quiet. If you don't know which you have, then you almost certainly have atrium. Tower is almost all larger suites.

to answer your question about the size of the lounge....The new BC is larger than pretty much all the rest, except maybe Poly. At WL and AKL, the lounge seating overlooks the lobby, but at WL the food area is a galley. At AKL it is more open. The CR lounge isn't as big at the one at the Poly. The CR one has large sliding glass doors (like many people have in their homes), so to me, it is more open tan some others. You can also go on the balcony if you wish, though that might not appeal to you.

A nice thing about Cr is pretty much all rooms aren't that far from the lounge. If you request- and get -a room close to the lounge, it will be very close. Also, if the room itself doesn't bother her, you can always take your food back to your room. We often do that if the lounges are ever crowded. the BWI lounge is a bit more complicated. It is one of the larger lounges, but no balconies. And if your room is far (as ours was) it can be quite far from the lounge and the main pool. CR is much more compact, BWI is a bit sprawling.

If you are staying at CR, the easy hops for visits will be Poly and GF via monorail, or WL and Ft W via shuttle boat.

Getting to BC/YC/BWI from CR is a bit of a hike. You could take a bus from MK bus stop, but a better choice might be to visit them from HS (or Epcot) on a day you visit HS. Personally, we like to pair our HS with late dinner at BC/YC/BWI/Swan/Dolphin. Those are all easy via boat from HS. (then to get back to CR, you take a bus from those resorts to MK- so long as you do it before MK closes.)

Sometimes the easiest way to do resort hopping is via taxi.

Would love some pics of Atrium club. We arrive on the 24th for our first stay there. DH thinks we are staying at WLCL. I changed it because his surprise 50th bday trip back in October got ruined by Hurricane Matthew. Just have to keep it a secret for two more weeks!

I can't help with pics, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip and enjoy CR Atrium Club :wizard:.

Hi - We are staying BC CL in August - Garden View and was wondering if any of you would suggest which room to request? we would like to be fairly close to elevators / lounge and have a nice view?

Will be at WL next week! Yesterday I got a call from a CM who works in the Lounge. He went over all my information, including room request and arrival time. Gave me the mobile number to reach them (call or text). He wanted to make sure any questions I had were answered and was there anything else they could do for me.

Well done, Disney! :thumbsup2

Does anyone who stayed recently at YC CL know if they are now serving chardonnay wine? The last time I was there they did not while all other CL do.

How far (minutes) is from the main pool to the CR CL? We will be there starting on July 24th, and i'm planning a lot of Pool /CL time...lol

Not having actually timed it, I'd say 2-4 minutes total walk time including elevator waits. The CR elevators can sometimes be the choke point, but during the day usually isn't that bad. Given the layout it's not exactly a lounge that I "pop up to" often while at the pool. Once I go to the pool, I pretty much camp out there.

Someone chime in if you think I'm off here.
