@trishadono DANG those AKL pics look great. Food offerings look a lot like what we had at WL in November, lots of variety, flavors, fresh ingredients. Someday AKL will get the nod from us...someday....
Our turndown chocolates were AKL labeled however. Not that it matters, it's just an interesting change.
Your Pictures are wonderful. Thank you so very much. My family is so looking forward to this experience!
All the beer, wine and mimosa are upon request. Only the dessert drinks were left out.@trishadono great pictures and info!
I have a (probably stupid) question regarding the drinks. Are they already mixed together like the adult Pog at Poly, or do I "make" them myself?
(1) Champagne mimosa with OJ or jungle juice. (2) Sangria made with Jungle juice and red wine.
You know in the winter it was perfect. Parks closed early and we were back for desserts and relaxing every night.@trishadono DANG those AKL pics look great. Oh dd loves that Disney champagne. We had it at tea at the Disneyland Hotel. It seems most of the CLs are now offering a signature cocktail when you check in. I love that!
Recently at CR we were given a twist on a Moscow mule that was really delicious (and I'm not a vodka fan, so that's saying something). You receive the drink on both CL floors there, as I overheard a CM offering it to a new arrival on the Atrium balcony while I was standing on mine one day. Champagne is out every night with wines and desserts too. I was told Atrium Club had a prosecco. In Tower Club it's the special Disney Celebration cuvée with the castle on the logo, along with Rosa Regale during dessert hours. Alcohol is now served by CMs in Atrium Club from what I heard. It is self-serve still in Tower Club, which is nice! There was a Pinot Noir, a Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Chardonnay each day. Beers were Sam Adams, Yuengling, Bud Light, Orlando Brewing Co I-4 IPA, Heineken.
The food was such a surprise this time, too. It's always been great, but there was clearly attention being paid to creating meals each evening as opposed to just finger foods. We met the dedicated CL chef for CR several times and she was always excited to talk about the food and what she had planned. They all seemed really happy that the changes were well-received. There was always a salad or two of some kind, a soup, a small seafood bite on its own little plate to be enjoyed before your "main" course, a meat and starch with sauce and veggies, assortment of breads and fresh vegetables and fruits, and an area of more plain foods like chicken nuggets or mac and cheese, pb&j. Each night's meal had a different theme. Desserts were a step above past offerings, too. We were so impressed with the changes!
Is there a real difference between tower club and atrium club at CR? Also when booking a regular package I get the little blue book confirming our reservation (former Incredibles booklet), however will I get that same book for my club level reservation?
Thank you for putting this in one place. Although I think the Tower Club sounds superb, I think the Atrium Club would be a better match for our preschooler. And now I don't have to feel guilty for being "cheap"In a word, yes. Especially with the recent upgrades to all the CLs, there is definitely a difference between Atrium and Tower Clubs.
Atrium Club has:
- a larger lounge area
- significantly more rooms on the floor, all of which are considered "regular" rooms in the sense there are no suites, no specific booking of a king or double queen room, decor looks the same as other CR rooms, etc
- standard size balconies
- a pretty spectacular view of the Grand Canyon Concourse, since the 12th floor is the highest Atrium floor (hence the name!)
- a different alcohol selection and occasionally different/less "upgraded" food
- a CM pouring and serving alcohol for you
- more of a traditional CR "feel," since you can look down at the monorails in the concourse and all the hustle and bustle that makes the resort so charming
Tower Club has:
- a smaller, more intimate lounge
- 16 rooms total on the entire floor, including 12 suites and 4 standard rooms that can be booked either as a dedicated king or double queen
- a totally different decor from the rest of the CR (light woods, light grey, green, cream, and yellow color scheme, overall just a beautiful design)
- HUGE balconies, like, twice the depth of a regular balcony at CR
- no view down into the Grand Canyon Concourse; the floor is cut off from the atrium like Cali Grill is
- upgraded alcohol selections and food options
- self-serve wine, beer, and cordials
- a lot more one-on-one interaction with the CMs, simply because of how few rooms there are — although I could see how kids or teens could easily find the floor quite boring because of this. It's extremely quiet.
I hope this helps a bit!

Thanks. We will only have access to the lounge on our floor correct? We booked Atrium club so we can only access the 12th floor lounge right?
I always thought I had read somewhere that Tower guests have access to Atrium, but not the other way around. Is that not accurate? Could be bad Disney info or just me making that up. I remember this because I remember thinking how unfair/snooty!![]()

Yeah, all of this is "hot off the presses" stuff. They abruptly did away with IPO back in October/November (if I remember correctly). Since then there have been no pre-planning services being offered for CL guests and no way to contact Disney except for the general public number.
As of last week they've introduced this "Disney Signatures Services" thing which appears to be the new IPO, although it's centralized and not split up by any resort/resorts as the old IPO.
Reports so far seem to be positive.
When you e-mail them, make sure to include your reservation number(s) in the e-mail.
Good luck, let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the detailed description! Now I am confused about how to book either CL. I just checked a random date and the WDW site only gives “Atrium Club Level” rooms and “Club Level Suites", are the CL suites Tower Club? I would imagine only suites are available because regular rooms are sold out?
