Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

In my experience, which has only been at AKL CL, there was no issue with taking anything back to the room. The only possible limitation was that they opened the beer bottles (2 each to go) and/or poured it into a plastic cup for me if we were going to the pool. I'm sure that's so people don't hoard things.

Can anyone tell me if I can take the food/beverages (coffee, beer) back to my room from CL? We just booked at the atrium level at the contemporary and can't seem that information anywhere...

Yup, take whatever you'd like! Beer is upon request during the day, self-serve from a small bucket during evening appetizers (CR is unlike some other CLs that now have server-provided alcohol during evening apps). For coffee, there are to-go cups and lids out near the coffee pots/espresso machine. Or you can go back to your room with a real cup, whatever your preference. Hope you have a great trip!

You can take food and beverages back to your room. Most CL's even have a few trays they will provide to help you carry items.

Great question - I didn't think to ask this. When will you be there? We are going Jan 2018.

About to book our annual trip for May 2017. We tried YC CL this year at the end of a split stay and we loved it - so this year going all in. 10 nights split stay - 5 nights at Poly CL followed by 5 nights YC CL. Anything I should know before I book? We historically stayed at POR, but loved our few nights at YC - but would love any feedback!!

A 10 nighter - I'm jealous! Sounds awesome.

I am not totally up to speed on happenings at YC at the moment but aren't the rooms slated for renovation now and/or sometime soon? I'm sure someone will know or it's likely on the BC/YC thread. I could be way off here, just seem to remember it being mentioned recently, I think.

Hope you have a great trip.

Thank you! Yes I think you are correct. Going to look for more details on. Thank you for reminder!!

Hello everyone! This is our first time staying CL on purpose. LOL. We were upgraded our last trip because of problems we'd had. Well, now we think we *need* CL. I received an email from IPO yesterday asking for our dining preferences if we care to have them booked for us. Now, I'm a control freak and assume the entire world is incompetent. Am I going to be okay letting go and letting them book our dining? Our res day is Halloween, so I'd really rather not try to be on the computer, getting my kids ready for school with costumes and parties...sounds nightmarish. What do you advise? TIA! Also, I can't believe I don't remember, but the date given me by Disney to start my reservations includes the extra 10 days right? 180+10?

I also have the problem of thinking of CL as a "need" now....:rotfl2:

Anyway, from one fellow control freak to another...I would not depend on them to get it handled. I would probably book the ones you definitely want yourself and leave the ones you are okay with not getting to them. I just have been able to find stuff they say is not available. Then again, I do have a hard time letting go....lol I do always call them with room requests etc.

Have fun planning!

Thank you, HBGdancermom! I will handle it myself then. And call for my room request closer to our stay. :)

I think it depends on how flexible you are with your ADRs, and how hard-to-get your ADRs will be. I almost always make my own ADRs when staying CL - I don't like leaving it to someone else and I enjoy the planning. Once, I asked IPO to make a few of our ADRs - can't recall the circumstances. In any event, the ADRs ended up somewhere near the times we requested, but I moved them around a little. I think it's difficult for IPO because let's say I requested a 7pm ADR but 7pm isn't available - IPO doesn't know if I'd prefer 6:30 or 7:30 on that date. So it's worth it to me to do it myself - I can see the options available and make our own selections based on what I know about our family, our plans for the day, etc. But our ADRs are usually not the hard-to-get variety, so I can wait until I get the kids to school and then sit down with m coffee to work on them. :) When I do have a hard-to-get ADR on the list, I wake up early and make just that ADR - then do the rest later in the morning.

Question... I booked a garden view at BC for CL. Can anyone tell me where that might be? I have seen a layout of building but not really sure of where CL is and how far we could really be from the CL offerings.

Thanks! We are excited to try something new and decide to split our Poly stay. Hoping we made a good decision.

Sorry no BC info here...lol...We have only recently become enamored with doing split stays during our Disney trips...and now I cannot even imagine not doing them... Its always so nice to enjoy the monorail resorts and all of the magic that you can feel being so close to the MK...but..being with in walking distance to both Epcot and DHS is amazing..not to mention the nice boat ride to get around Crescent Lake..to so many destinations including the Swan and Dolphin... Hope that you enjoy what we consider the best of both worlds.. as much as we do!

ETA...While at the Poly...Highly recommend some down time at Trader Sam's.... :thumbsup2

Oh that margarita stand in that last pic..... Perhaps an isolated occurrence but I had one of the worst margaritas ever there in July. I got whatever was the "top shelf" on the menu (like $16 I think?) and it was horrid. I think it was pre-mixed? I'm used to mediocre Disney margaritas but this one was in a class of its own in the taste and value categories! Sorry, random memory!

Oh no!!!! We absolutely love Boardwalk Joe's for a nice slushy drink and a pretzel...Have not had the margaritas (although I have a good friend who get's one every trip)..I would highly recommend the Captains Seaside Sensation...pineapple slushy and Captain Morgan's Spice Rum...yum!!! :drinking1

No only is it absolutely fine to bring food and or beverages back to your room...it is generally encouraged by the lounge CM's..Btw.. CR Atrium club CMs are so very nice! Enjoy! :goodvibes

What a nice long CL stay! :thumbsup2 ..although we have not stayed at the YC..we did have a recent stay at the Poly...If you are booked LV or TPV at there I would recommend requesting a ground floor room...we overlapped trips with another DISser Trishadono who graciously invited us to see the wonderful view that she had from her first floor room..and it truly was wonderful ...also such a nice ambiance just sitting out on the patio over looking the beach..and the castle (sadly in between the bunglows..) but still nice! Also as I mentioned previously in my big old multi quote...lol...Trader Sam's is such a nice place to spend some time...fun atmosphere...and yummy beverages! :drinking1:thumbsup2

We have often times had IPO book all of our dining...and not been disappointed...:thumbsup2 As Pixarmom mentioned though...it's a good idea to add some variables..say BOG on whatever date between 7 and 8..preferably 7:30....and yes you can book 180 plus 10...:goodvibes ...Best of luck..and happy planning! ::yes::

Ahhh that lovely LV Room 1505!! Trishadono had the exact room I had a couple weeks prior to her stay! I agree about the ambiance while sitting on the patio, especially at night when all the pretty lights are glowing. I look forward to ending my nights on that patio -- I'd make myself a nice drink in the lounge, grab my kindle, and head right out to the patio! :cloud9:

Of course you need CL....you ALWAYS need CL! As soon as you just accept that line of thinking it makes all of this a lot easier. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well obviously I need to be added to the need-to-stay-CL club! Thankfully there are a lot of us who share the addiction in this thread. :thumbsup2
Our first CL was a magical upgrade. After that I need it too!

Have to say I am looking forward to the WL CL trip coming up. The CMs are really the most down to earth friendliest of any of the CLs I have tried. Cobbler at night with grand mariner? Ahhhhhhh can't get here soon enough.

Our first CL stay was also not planned! We had a regular standard room at BC booked (never even considered CL...) and we were given a room that was already occupied (we actually opened the door while the family was in there!). The CM at the desk felt worse than I did (lol) and she immediately got on the phone and came back to tell me that we were going to be escorted up to Club Level! It was a magical trip, to say the least, and we haven't looked back since then.

I'm really trying to look forward to our WL stay! Did you ever change to a deluxe room?

Your question has been answered, but I wanted to say I hope you have a great trip and enjoy CR CL :).

We are going Jan 2018.

It seems far off, but it'll be here before you know it! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy planning (that's half the fun for me :goodvibes).

Like others, I also make my own ADRs. I like having control, but I also enjoy the planning and seeing all of the options should what I want not be available :).

You are correct that the ADR date you were given is when you can make your ADRs for your entire trip (up to 10 days after the first day ;)).

I think it depends on how flexible you are with your ADRs, and how hard-to-get your ADRs will be. I agree ::yes::.

All booked! I went ahead and booked YC - it was 30% off with UOC and so I decided to save where I could. lol

Mark us down for May 19th - 24th at Poly CL and May 24th - May 29th and YC CL!!

We are super excited!!:banana::cheer2::dancer:

Congrats! :yay:
