Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

OMG I thought I had sticker shock when I saw the RPC rates for the beginning of April. It was only $1200...before taxes...I booked the YC instead with the Disney Visa code. The Epcot resorts went up a lot as well, it's almost double what we paid in February. :sad2::eek::faint: . I only got one pin code many years ago...wish I knew the secret...I keep hoping...

Hi Blue:wave2:

I'm beginning to wonder if they raised the prices so much to offset the fact that they don't black out spring break/Easter anymore. People (like me, unfortunately) see a "deal" being offered during that time frame and get excited and just book it. I think I need to find a time to go during off-season like we used to when the kids were younger!

We are booked deluxe club level at the Boardwalk Inn next month. Could anyone tell us what makes it deluxe as opposed to standard club level? Thank you so much.

We just stayed in a deluxe CL room a few months ago. I posted a review and pictures in the BWI thread, right around July 7 or so. Here's a little info I copied from my post:

Room review:
Deluxe CL room #4255. This was a 4th floor room close to Flying Fish, first room inside the security door. The size of this room was perfect for our family of 4 to spread out. It had a separate TV in the sitting area -- the couch turned into what appeared to be a double or queen sized bed (much larger than a normal daybed). The advice on here was 100% correct about the balcony sizes. Our 4th floor balcony was really too small. My DH likes to take his laptop, work, and coffee outside on the balcony each morning and he had a hard time fitting everything, and the worst part is there really wasn't room for me to join him while we waited for the girls to get ready. The view was very nice, though. Still, we wouldn't opt for a 3rd floor room for the larger balcony because we prefer being on the same floor as the lounge.

I'll be checking in Monday to we cl, we have previously stayed at cr and gf cl (sl), I've always wanted to stay at wl but we usually are traveling in a group of five. Now we have graduated one kid out of the house -- we can try wl.

MY QUESTION IS I WOULD LIKE TO GET ONE OF THE ROOMS WITH BUNK BEDS, WHEN I CALLED A MONTH AGO THEY SAID NONE AVAILABLE. I WAS GOING TO EMAIL THE IPO FIVE DAYS OUT -- but then the hurricane and I figured they had enough on their plate without my pitiful request. Do they have bunk beds in the cl floor? What are my chances of getting one -- maybe some cancellations?

I thought they had some but not certain. However I would request one anyways. They won't know you need one if you don't tell them. Good luck and get some pix!!! I'll be there in January.

I came back to add if you called Disney they don't know anything, if you called IPO # they should be more accurate . However sometimes someone fills in for IPO and not always accurate.

MickeyNut I'm still getting used to the Poly on occasion as opposed to the GF...lol...But I am WL intrigued! :teleport:

I knew you would like the Poly! The WL is great too, and is worth a try, IMO ::yes::.

It's sad that some of those holiday rates discounted is often times still more expensive than that same room at rack rate during other times of the year :sad2:.

Congrats on your first WL CL stay! Unless it's changed, you can request bunk beds. Bunk beds are a bookable category for other rooms, but are just a request on CL. I would call IPO and have that request added to your reservation. Have a great trip :wizard:.

Question... I booked a garden view at BC for CL. Can anyone tell me where that might be? I have seen a layout of building but not really sure of where CL is and how far we could really be from the CL offerings.

Thanks! We are excited to try something new and decide to split our Poly stay. Hoping we made a good decision.

Oh that margarita stand in that last pic..... Perhaps an isolated occurrence but I had one of the worst margaritas ever there in July. I got whatever was the "top shelf" on the menu (like $16 I think?) and it was horrid. I think it was pre-mixed? I'm used to mediocre Disney margaritas but this one was in a class of its own in the taste and value categories! Sorry, random memory!

Thank you, I emailed because I assume it is crazy there -- I received a reply they have noted my request and would do all they could

i went to touring plans.com You can see the floor plan of the 5th floor where the gv cl rooms are located.

Use the room finder tool. Go to BC then5th floor. I think they also show the difference between the std, gv and lv rooms too.

Have fun, that tool is cool to use.

I can't help on BC CL room locations, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip. I think a BC/Poly split is a great idea as it's the best of both worlds staying in both the Epcot and MK areas :).

So club level rooms are only on 5th floor then? Okay I will check on that. Thank you!!

Thank you, Mickeynut1! It was a tough decision giving up days at the Poly, but we are ready to try something new for a part of our stay.

Well....you guys are probably going to be surprised because you know how much I've been looking forward to RPC for our next Easter week stay. I got a PIN code that covered Easter so I quickly logged on and thought this was the day I'd book RPC!:cheer2: Until I saw the price. $1600 per night before the tiny 20% discount which hardly makes a dent. :crazy2:

That is absolutely kooky. I'd get a standard deluxe room and go to town with my meal planning, hoppers, and some special items. And buy souveniers galore. oh my. o_O

I know....we love both GF and CL so much that I've always justified in my mind the high costs. However, next Easter prices have simply gone too high for us (and the discounts too low).
For now, we are booked in a WL deluxe CL room. Still thinking and debating, though...

I finally found a nice video with view description of the temporary wl CL lounge.

Looks nice!

Dd21 got a pin code and now our rate at 30% off for January.
I texted a friend that was at WL in July and she said you could not go out on the balconies. Bummer.

Still looks like a decent view of courtyard from the windows at least.:thumbsup2

Still patiently awaiting passholder discounts for January:rolleyes1

So onto Plan B. First, I thought I'd book the Cabins. Then my DD said what if a clown gets in our Cabin since we'll be in remote woods? We had a long discussion about these clown stories -- rumors are spreading all around the schools and it's frustrating.

Oh my goodness....the clowns....My kids are trying to get out of taking the dog out because of this....:sad2:

You may want to head over to the Boardwalk thread for more info. 1st page:daisy:

Basically the room is longer. There are the regular 2 queens then a sleeper sofa and a 2nd tv seating area.(sleep6)

Some rooms are not on the CL floor.

For me the best perk is the guaranteed water view!:worship:

I haven't stayed there but I always dream....:cloud9:

That sounds fabulous. We decided to splurge for my partner's and my 25th anniversary together. We don't have mobility issues so having our room on the lounge floor doesn't really matter to us. We've had a Crescent Lake view several times before when we've stayed at the Inn (non-club level) and we love it! There are only the two of us so I guess we're gonna have lots of room. It's our first time staying club level at the Boardwalk. We are doing a split stay with four nights also at the Yacht Club club level where we booked a Stormalong Bay/Crescent Lake view. I hope it's more of a lake view as I don't think I would find a Stormalong Bay view particularly exciting. It's only our second time at the Yacht Club. It always seems to be booked so we stay at the Beach Club or Boardwalk Inn. We really love all three. Our only previous club level experience has been at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed it even though our "savannah view" ( which was only partially on the savannah; the rest was over the Jambo House animal viewing area) kind of sucked. We've had better savannah views in a non-club level savannah view room. We leave in 25 days! Thanks for sharing the info!

Did you see TJA's post about some balconies are smaller? If that is important to you maybe request full balcony?

Sounds like a great trip! Happy Anniversary too!

Can anyone tell me if I can take the food/beverages (coffee, beer) back to my room from CL? We just booked at the atrium level at the contemporary and can't seem that information anywhere...
