Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I just posted this over on the Poly thread. ..lol...as I hadn't seen any responses here..guess I should have checked one more time! Thanks Babsy! :goodvibes wasn't available at the BWI either...but was at the GF...I'm surprised that it's not available at all of the CLs by now...[/QUOTE]

You are welcome!

I was surprised also. We had texting quite some time ago at the GF!

Lucky you - going this summer! Have fun!

Can anyone tell me if connecting rooms are available at AKL for standard club level rooms? We have stayed here a bunch of times but I just can't remember seeing an interior door in the room. This is the first year we exceed the occupancy so we have booked two rooms. Hoping they can be connecting. We prefer Zebra trail if that makes any difference.

I recall seeing a connecting door, because that's where we parked our stroller!

We stayed Poly CL last summer and we really enjoyed it. Our view was of some grass and trees and the quiet pool before construction started. We were on the third floor and I definitely recommend it. Second floor has no balcony and we just prefer to be off the ground floor. Lounge offerings were very good and we loved that it never closed and you could grab a coffee, hot chocolate or soda any time you wanted. Also the view from the lounge is beautiful. At night during wishes you have a great view to watch and listen as they pipe the music in to the lounge. The pool is steps away from the building so its very convenient to grab something from the lounge during snack times and then go out to the pool. The CMs were very helpful and very friendly. If you already love Poly then club level is just the icing on the cake IMHO. Have a great stay and let us know what you think when you return!

Thanks for the great review! The Poly is our favorite resort and I'm very excited to try CL later this year as I love reading posts like this :goodvibes.

Cl at the Poly is awesome! We had a TPV room, so we watched Wishes form our balcony on the third floor, but the view from the lounge would be beautiful! We enjoyed the breakfasts and some snacks in the lounge and found the CM's to be very pleasant and accommodating. Hawaii is nicely located with everything you want just a short walk away. The only negative that we found (and it was very minor) is that this was the first time that our request for bottled water to bring to the room was denied. They simply don't seem to have any. Not a real problem - we just purchased a case, but it feels like you shouldn't have to do this at Club Level. It was still a magical experience. Enjoy your stay! I am sure that you will love it!

I'm sorry about the water, but glad you enjoyed Poly CL. The Poly is an awesome resort, so I can imagine how CL would make it that much more magical :wizard:.

What a terrific review!! :thumbsup2 Makes me even more excited for our first ever Poly summer stay...we enjoyed a winter trip and truly enjoyed the spectacular view from the lounge in the evenings..but thought..as your post confirms that there is alot more to enjoy in the summer months...

I'm sure you'll have a great time :goodvibes.

Just chiming in to agree. The Poly is a great place for a summer trip, especially CL with those lounge views. But the location of the Hawaii building, so close to the pools, and the theming make is one of our favorite places in the summer. :)

Can anyone at AKL CL tell me if they have cinnamon buns or chocolate chip muffins in the breakfast time at lounge?

I know this has been talked about a lot but I am still unsure if I can do directly into the sugar loaf bldg or do I have to check in main bldg lobby? I emailed the IPO and they said I have to check in because my magic band won't be activated. Is this true even if I did online check in? I kind of wish we could bypass the main desk in lobby.

So glad I could help! You will love Poly in the summer. The Hawaiian theme just screams tropical weather to me. Another great experience was watching the EWP right from the pool. One of our favorite trips... right up there with GF RPC winch we loved just as much but for different reasons!! Have a fantastic time!

I hope you have a magical time at Poly CL. Hopefully Irv is still there. He is the best CM in the lounge. Little gray haired man with a great attitude. He made our stay even better!

Happy to hear about the beer. Sometimes my husband and I like to have a drink when we get back from the parks and the kids are out cold. Being able to grab one for later and not have it handed to you open is so much better. Do you remember what types of soda they had? I can't have caffeine and sugar often too and sometimes the lounge doesn't have an option for that.

There was definitely 7UP and another type of lemonade which we don't have in the UK and I've forgotten the name. They also had coke, diet coke, orange and iced tea. I'm sure the other lemonade was a sugar free/low sugar version - it was in a yellow can if that's any help?

I agree, the Poly is amazing for a summer trip :beach:.

I don't have the answer, but I have read reports of some people staying CL being able to go straight to their room and some not. If you do OCI, you could always try entering the SL building upon arrival to see if it works, and just go to the front desk if it doesn't ;).

I agree, the Poly is very tropical! It's good to hear such great things about Poly CL. I rank WL CL at the top with RPC, so I'm hoping Poly CL falls right there as well :goodvibes.

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to trying it! I will definitely look for Irv, friendly CMs with great attitudes just make your stay that much more magical :wizard:.

Can anyone at AKL CL tell me if they have cinnamon buns or chocolate chip muffins in the breakfast time at lounge?

Yes there are assorted muffins, croissants, bagels and I believe cinnamon buns (because DH like them)

When we arrive at GF I tell the valets we are staying CL and they call someone to escort us. That is for both RPC and SL. IF you arrive too early or late(before 7am or after 10pm) then you need to check in the regular main lobby.

We just booked a trip this August for the Poly. I always loved visiting there from the time I was a little girl, but never stayed there. How do you guys like club level there? Thus far our favorite club level has been the CR. We are looking forward to trying the Poly.
I enjoy both! Poly has a fun view because its low and you can see straight across the water. Also the beach is nice and close so you can conveniently grab a snack or drink.

Cr has such an amazing view but I think you will love this too!

Thank you so much for that info.

Hi club level experts :)! We are thrilled so far with our AKL club level stay. Wish I could stay for years instead of days...

Does anyone know, with a DVC club level booking at AKL, what toiletries we are supposed to get? We don't even have lotion which seems odd.

When we have stayed in the past they had cinnamon pastries with sugar crystals (not icing) everyday. The muffins have been different depending on our stay. A few times they had three types (blueberry, chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip) everyday. On other stays they had the same flavors but there was only one flavor each day and they rotated the flavors.

pangyal- Can you report on the evening offerings? Did you notice anything "kid friendly"?

Not a thing ;)! Last night was our first night- they had a spicy stew, a spicy meat thing, blue/Manchego cheeses with crackers, a salad on a spoon, green beans...that's as much as I recall. Kiddo had nuggets from Mara.
