Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

OFF TOPIC!!!:offtopic:

Oh my goodness you guys I have to share with you about my night last night!

I went to book club at a new member's home and she has an unbelievable Disney art collection like I have never seen!!!!! Since you all are the only Disney obsessed people I talk to I have to share these photos. :) I even told the lady I was showing these pictures to "my Disney friends" and she laughed and said that was fine.

Here you go:

I had to take a panoramic shot because I couldn't even fit her wall display on my camera!

HOLY COW, RIGHT????????????? :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Plus she said she has five more of these Thomas Kinkade's upstairs (I didn't press my luck and ask for the tour... I'll save that for the next time I'm over) and also dozens of boxes of figurines in her basement she doesn't have room to display.

I honestly didn't know people could even afford these paintings, when I see them in the Art of Disney I think they're just for display! LOL :rotfl:

I can't believe she lives in my town?????!!!!!! I might have to turn over my Disney crown! :faint::faint::faint::faint:
WOW! But no turning in your crown..you are and will forever be a CL Queen :) and a Live TR Queen. But WOW!

Awesome...those always look so cute, and I love those little gardens!

Just curious...did you do online check-in, or have any room requests on your reservation? Just wondering if they upgrade folks when there are room requests such as "close to elevator" or other specific requests....

If you're a party of 2 staying CL at the BWI you have a good chance of getting one of these. Mainly because they only sleep 2, so by moving a party of 2 in there they free up a room for 4-5! Wouldn't you know they do it for their own benefit??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Does anyone know how often they change the menus at the Old Faithful Club? We were hoping to be able to have the evening appetizers as our dinner most of the nights, but I'd like to have an idea of what they are before I made any dinner reservations. Would IPO be able to send us a list? Our trip is Jan 9-13, so not too far away.

And we already booked a return to WL CL - Feb 20 - 25, 2016. I found a great Passholder discount - - 30% - - that is better than the bounce back discount, since it includes the weekends. :)

We really like to get out of the frozen Midwest in the winter. ;) And WL is our favorite place to be when it is cold out. I will miss the Hidden Springs pool, though, due to construction. It was my favorite quiet pool. I hope they bring back the bubbling springs.

The menu doesn't change very often. Maybe every few months. They'll always have a soup or stew of some kind in a large pot with a ladle. Then they'll have one other hot item, usually something small and fried like a spring roll. On the other side of the room they'll have some vegetables and cheese/crackers. But it is always subject to change so if they do send you a list I wouldn't say it's set in stone. Honestly I highly recommend not considering it dinner unless you've had a big lunch and just want some snacks. My boys never ate a bite of evening appetizers when we were there last time, they are not fans of soup.

I'm in awe of that collection. Also in her kitchen she had about 30 Disney cookie jars lining the top of her cabinets. It was Disney everywhere!!!

Wow...Does she visit the parks (here and in Europe and Asia) frequently? I'd love to hear HER travel stories!!

She said she use to be an annual passholder and travel to the parks a lot, but got married at age 36 to a man who doesn't like Disney. I told her she can go with me anytime!!! ;)

Maybe we can start of volunteer list! Not sure I could keep up with her "style" though.... :)

I can't believe she married a non-Disney person. I don't think I could ever limit my WDW trips for a spouse, if he didn't want to go i would just go alone. LOL :rotfl2:
We need a club for the women of non-WDW loving spouses. I have one of them. He LOVED BC CL and OKW, but he doesn't love the parks. One exception, F&W two weeks ago ;) At least she gets to keep the Disney décor at home :)

Good morning everyone! :) I was just cleaning up our Guest List and noticed 3 groups just returned from the BC CL. Would love some reports! :D

Headed back to YC CL in January for a girls trip and we are so excited. Wondering if we should keep the dinning plan or skip it. We have 3 dinner reservations, but they are for fairly inexpensive restaurants (Via Napoli, Teppan Edo, and Rose and Crown).

Everyone is different, but I've been on a few girls trips and we always spent time in the lounge and took advantage of the evening apps a lot. We have done a few dinners here and there, but the lounge offerings are usually enough for us. With that said, I think I'd skip the DDP ;).

Hi,

Just booked the CL at the Yacht Club for 1 night (Dec 3-4) . I was tempted by GF ( but the main building CL was $722 inc tax) but today the YC CL became available at $460 inc tax). I am spending the previous 5 nights at the WL CL.

Congrats on the great YC CL rate! We've never stayed at the YC, but we love WL CL. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

I'm sitting on my balcony right now soaking every last second in before check out! It's been a fabulous trip. We were upgraded from standard to Boardwalk view, which was a wonderful surprise! Lounge offerings have been very similar to what you have listed on page one of the thread. There was always plenty of food out and the CM very nice. I did ask about texting for 4th FP and was told that we needed to go to the park kiosk so the 'test' of this service is no longer happening at BC. If anyone has any questions, I'll do my best to answer. :goodvibes

Sorry, I am too lazy to post twice.:rolleyes1

However I posted pictures and info about my recent BC cl stay this past weekend on the YC/BC thread if interested. :)

We had a lovely time and I also got to meet Teena.

No worries! Just send us a link! :)
I don't get over to the YC/BC group often enough to keep up there, it moves so fast!

I just saw all the great pictures you posted on YC/BC thread! Very nice! I didn't take any pictures in the lounge but I have some room view photos I can upload later. Gotta get out of our room now (couldn't get a late check out). Flight isn't until 7 so we're headed to Stormalong Bay for a few hours!:thumbsup2

I'm very glad you had such a wonderful trip, but I'm also very sad to read about the texting service for FP... :(

Congrats! I feel EVERY couple should experience WDW without the kids. It is awesome and a completely different experience.
I SO agree with you!!

You are NOT lazy Trish, I will mention your FAB upgrade to a lagoon view :) I will have a hard time booking standard view after our awesome view last summer. And Teena is awesome :grouphug:
