Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

When we arrived at the Poly in July same thing.

Usually the Gate calls ahead and there is someone with an ipad out in the valet area to greet us and take us to CL. At the Poly, I actually had to go to the regular greeter in the Lobby and tell her
"I am CL and someone is suppose to take me to Hawaii" - she seemed confused but took us out there. Disappointing.

GF, WL, BC has always had someone there waiting to greet..I am wondering how it will be at CR in January!

I get off the bus and tell the valets i am staying cl and REQUEST an escort. Try that? Worse they can say is sorry you have to check in at the regular check in. The longest I have waited is 5 mins. Once i was told to do regular check in but inside i repeated my request and mysteriously someone quickly showed up for us.

I love the pampering too :)

I agree with it being disappointing. We let them know we are CL and expect to be taken to the lounge, but when the valet/bellman are clueless what I'm talking about - that is poor training on Disney's part. If it supposed to be part of the CL stay, then make sure it's in place. I shouldn't have to educate Disney employees or track down an escort myself.

Agreed. In fact, our "check-ins" with club level at WDW have been so hit-and-miss that I never even mention it when people ask why we stay club level. A perk that you get about half of the time you visit isn't something that I feel can be listed as a benefit of staying club level. And it is poor training and service on Disney's part that they haven't seemed to improve this over the years.

Just returned from a six-day stay at BC CL with my three daughters (celebrated my youngest's 5th birthday while we were there) and wanted to share some thoughts re: CL at this lovely hotel (I posted my general thoughts on BC overall, not just CL, on the YC/BC General FAQ thread) ...

Overall, a really nice stay. I knew going in that Disney's CL may not measure up to CL offerings / benefits at non-Disney hotels, but also understood that we were paying for the location and the fact that it's Disney. I wouldn't say it was a good or bad value, but I did appreciate the convenience of the lounge and extra attention in service that we received. Regardless, I think the most important thing is ... your vacation is what you make of it. Have a smile and a friendly greeting for everyone and you'll be treated the same, and then you can't help but have a good time. This was definitely true at BC and all over Disney.

Thanks for your review. Glad you had a nice stay overall :).

Call me crazy, but I just added another night to our AKL CL stay! We are now 12/13 -12/24. I just wish the time would go by faster...although I know I shouldn't "wish" for winter in Michigan!

Congrats on the extra night! :goodvibes

I know this maybe a weird question but which CL offer boiled eggs in the morning? Plus do they offer nesquik chocolate milk? I know Poly did several years ago but not sure they do now?

The only CL that we have gotten the "meet and greet" were AKL and GF. We had a similar experience with Poly check-in as DisneyDmbNut. We went to the desk at BC and got a runner pretty quickly, some of the issue with BC was the fact we drove and used self-park perhaps. At GF, my DH dropped us and our bags off at the front and the CM met us by the bench. When I said my DH was parking the car, he sent someone with a golf cart to get him...it was awesome! Then we all got a ride to Sugarloaf :)

Speaking of Sugarloaf......

Erika, my DH and I will be staying at SL 11/3-5!!!!!!!!!!!!

My DH surprised me with a trip for us, I'm okay with just two nights since we NEVER are apart from our kiddos. He booked Sports via Orbitz, and I called my TA yesterday who totally enabled me to book GF :) SO EXCITED!

Poly had the Nesquik single serves in January.

We had an escort when we arrived at Poly. We were surprised to see them as we drove and they told us that the person in the booth checked called ahead when we went through the gate.

We were also underwhelmed at the Poly's offerings. (We were there 9/7-9) Little variety (afternoon snacks - open a bag of popcorn, goldfish, etc and pour into a bowl). Seriously, for the money spent, put a little effort into the offerings. Desserts were pretty much the same each night. Appetizers the first night were very good but on the second night only sushi was offered; no other choice (other than the standard veggies, cheese/crackers). DH won't eat sushi so no options for him.

They also served *only sushi* one night when we were there in January. My family ate it but I thought it was a poor decision as I'm sure that many people don't like it, and there was no other alternative besides the usual cheese and crackers. Kind of cheap of them. I also didn't see chips and dip in the afternoons, just bagged stuff like yogurt pretzels and goldfish.

BC/YC does have hard boiled eggs. I think GF did as well, but we haven't been there since 2011. BC has a chocolate milk dispenser, but no bottled Nesquik.

YAY!!! That is great news!!!! :cloud9::cheer2: Even short trips are amazing, sometimes even more so because you cherish every minute and really appreciate the details.

GF and BC both had hard boiled eggs last month. :) Sorry I don't remember about the chocolate milk, but someone recently posted some BC CL breakfast pictures a few pages back! :D

Polynesian CL still has the chocolate milk singles, as well as juice boxes. They are in the back so just ask a CM and they'll get them for you. We were there 3 weeks ago and the CMs were great, they couldn't do enough for you, especially Ivette in the mornings and Irv in the afternoons and evenings.

November will be our first time to stay CL and I'm wondering how the check-in works. Specifically, how will we know if someone is there to escort us or not? Will they be standing there with a sign or something when we exit DME? Not sure what we should look for upon arrival? Also, how do they know you are arriving and to send someone down to escort you if you're taking DME? Is it based off the estimated arrival time you give when you fill out your form for IPO, or do they have another method of monitoring when guests are near and escorts may need to head down to wait? Thanks in advance for the insight (and any additional tips to make check in go smoothly--have appreciated reading about others' experiences and suggestions)!

I don't know for sure, but I bet it is the magic band scan at the airport before you get on the bus...just a guess though. I'm in the same boat with our first CL trip in October...can't wait!!
