Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Last year when we got moved to the Polynesian I could not believe the number of times men would come to the lounge straight from the pool without shirts, armpit hair, chest hair, and all hanging out:scared:. Not one thing said. I did not eat any food in there the next four days. Just nasty. :sad2:

Yuck!
I've seen the robes at every CL I've stayed except AKL I think. Barefoot offenders were the worst at Poly and Sugarloaf, I am sure because of the proximity to the pools

This is definitely a plus for the AKL lounge being far away from the CL rooms. The only robes I've seen there (and it is rare at AKL) are from the DVC rooms.

Wow. There was coffee available at the Poly CL before 7 am? We had one morning at the Beach Club last year where it was 7:05 and the lounge was still locked and the coffee promised at 6:30 am was no where to be seen. I thought a few of us might start a riot.

(Are there coffee makers in Beach Club rooms? I never even looked...)

They have the pod type coffee machines. I usually make our first cup of coffee in the room. I bring Starbucks Via and only heat the water in the machine. It works really well and I don't have to bother with pods.

My office this morning. I can think of worse places to work on vacation.

Early morning at the resorts is the best time of day and your office is fabulous. HOLD ALL CALLS!

:thumbsup2

I wish this was done across the board in all CLs :(.

Hopefully this is a change that all CLs will be enforcing ;).

I wish that WDW CLs were consistent in enforcing the rules, too. It's all up to management and some care and others don't care as much.

Poly CL mid-day snacks appear to be relatively consistent day-to-day at the moment, although we were at Blizzard Beach most of Monday so missed yesterday's offerings. The fruit skewers are much more practical than the fruit in the ice cream cone from a few days ago.

Same goldfish and snack mix....(may or may not have been my lunch on a couple of days so far....)

I am reminded why I enjoy CL so much. DW, DS, and DD are napping. Daddy gets to hang out in the peace and quiet of the lounge. Drink courtesy of the Barefoot Pool Bar (no judging of the time stamp of this post, OK?).

Goldfish, that's a lunch::yes::. Don't forget you can ask for adult beverages anytime the lounge is open;)

On a BWI CL trip there was a father and son who came into the lounge in socks, and then put their feet up on the tables. I mentioned it to a CM and he told me they weren't allowed to say anything to the guests. I hope they are enforcing a minimal dress code now.

This is totally wrong. Why do the CL CMs often care more about the feelings of the offender who breaks the rules than the guest who is offended?

I can imagine how unappetizing that would be:headache:. What in the world ever happened to "no shirt, no shoes, no service?" I understand it's close to the pool, but that's not an excuse for throwing manners and decorum out that beautiful KKC window overlooking 7SL.

Yuck!

You're on to something there with the pools being next to the lounge.

Same for WL and CR, much further from the pool and you have to take an elevator. I would imagine RPC is the same?

In theory, all the CLs are supposed to offer a "coffee service" starting at 0630. Seems Poly might start that earlier and BC later? The coffee service is normally brewed decaf and regular coffee, cream and sometimes OJ or water. At 0700, breakfast is served in the lounge. At the CLs that close the lounge after-hours, the coffee service is outside of the lounge, at least it was at WL.

You are safer with the swimsuits for sure, another vote for RPC!!! ;) The robes are everywhere (said in an eery voice) :)

I just love the Poly CL. I am saving for that next summer.

I hope a Poly CL trip works out for you next summer :flower3:.

It's sad that they can pick and choose what they want (and don't want) to enforce :(.

Hi pas :wave2:......just wanted to say I hope you have a great trip! :yay:

I guess if you stay CL enough you see plenty of "bad" behavior, be it attire, food hoarding, manners, etc. Seen plenty of bare feet in the Poly CL lounge this week which all CMs I've seen seem quick to put a stop to. I saw a man in his socks last night which I guess is only marginally better than bare feet, still gross and not appropriate in my book.

Quick update, looks like the water edge rock addition is starting on the stretch of beach in front of Hawaii. They started on the Bungalow side and have been moving left. Such a sad deal, has just broken our hearts all week (the situation, not the fence/rocks).

Can I say something crazy? The Mousekeeping this week at Poly CL has been amazing! I have had my gripes with this in the past at Poly (like every prior trip) but for whatever reason it has been spot on this week for us. I'd post pics but I don't want it used against them if people don't get the same treatment. Maybe because we're at the end of the building? Our kids are young so oftentimes we're back in the room by 11:30ish so having a clean room in that tight window is a small blessing. In past stays we'd still be waiting by late, late afternoon. Our Mousekeepers have been able to "read us" perfectly and we've been able to get to know a few, which is different than past trips (I acknowledge this is all about timing, not so much the CMs). Anyway, I know all of our experiences will be different but we've been very happy so far this week!

Yay! That is awesome! We've had stays where we swear the mousekeeping is invisible. Somehow they just always know exactly when to clean and turndown our room and we never, ever see them. I'm so happy it has gone well for you guys! Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and thoughts during your trip. I absolutely can't wait to get back there!

We were gone all day and housekeeping decided to come to our room today at 4pm when we were trying to take a quick nap. They said they'd come back when we left for the pool, but they never did...but I think it was just bad luck. We've actually been pretty happy with everything! The CMs have been GREAT with assisting us with FP issues (daughter slept too long and we were gonna miss FPs:()! We are LOVING the new Oasis pool! Almost forgot to say how much better the afternoon offerings are now too!

More DIS Poly dwellers, sweet! That was us in October - we'd get back every day 3-4ish and the room hadn't been touched...one or two days I can deal with but every day was starting to irk me.

Hope y'all have a great stay!

I have an unusual question and thought you guys could help me out. I know that when you book your room it is for two guests and then they have a $25 per night charge for any other adult guests, and this is my problem. We are booked at the BWI CL deluxe room from Dec. 3-Dec. 10. On our arrival day Sat. Dec. 3 and Sun. Dec. 4 it will be just my husband and I. On Monday night ( Dec. 5) my niece and her husband will be joining us for just one night and then we will again be just the two of us for two more nights. On Dec.8 my other niece and my sister will be joining us for two nights before we leave on Dec. 10 to go to PB hotel for three nights.

So do I pay for the two extra guests for our entire stay ($50 per night) or just the three nights that we have extra guests with us. I haven't tried talking to Disney about this yet and only paid for the room having only the two adults for now. If it makes any difference my husband and I have AP but the other four do not and the room is booked RO right now. TIA.

I recall that in the past it was possible to have them listed for just the two nights, however, there's a catch. It is my recollection that the way you have to do this is to wait until you arrive. As I recall, the catch was that there are limits on booking ME and the DDP. I'm not 100% what the terms are, but I think ME has to be booked 48 hours in advance. Their could also be a limit on their ability to use Memory Maker (no matter if you just scan your band).
