Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

@GADisneyDad14 Thank you soooo much for your help, that was exactly what I was looking for with regards to location etc and your photos look make the Savannah look gorgeous!

Although….I take it there were a few animals at some point?! :)

I think your idea of keeping the request a little vague is a good one for me. I hate the pressure of making the wrong choice and am much more able to be happy with what is chosen for me!

@GADisneyDad14 explained it very well. 2 bed suites are not my forte but those locations sound about right. You will be at the end of a hall, either on a wing or ALL the way at the end of the U. All of the savannas you will see animals. The Sunset Savanna (Kudu trail/left side) is generally regarded as the worst one.. however the 2beds would be an exception because they should look directly at Kidani so you'll have a more wide open space vs an enclosed one surrounded by rooms, as seen on the map. So long story short, all 2 beds should have lovely views of animals, its just a matter of how far you'll be from the lobby/lounge. The end of Kudu would be the worst in my opinion. The elevators to the lounge are on the Zebra side of the lobby so its a bit of a shorter walk. Note these are the only elevators that go to the lounge (lobby bank) All other ones only go to the 5th floor.

For a party of 3 GV CL at the YC, is it likely we would get a 2 queen room or do some king rooms have a sleeper sofa? It is DH, DD 10, and me and wasn't sure what the most likely scenario would be. I did not make any room requests, but was not sure if maybe I should. We check in next Friday so I need to get it in quickly, if so.

Thanks!

There are only 5 GV CL rooms at the YC. Sorry I don‘t know the bed configurations. But just so you know, there aren’t a lot of options in that room category.

Thank you so much for all the info!

I’ve decided to request zebra trail and see what i get, it does sound like there will be no awful rooms.

I’m sure this has been asked many times, but is there an email address for dss?

You have to try one if you want to be in the CRCLCEC. :jester:
I (hand over heart) promise I will if I ever get to CR CL.
I dont know if anyone answered about RPC CL (royal Pacific NOT GF RPC), but its a hard no for us. Its extremely minimal vs PBR. Not sure if you were around for the business class at CSR but its more like that. Pastries in the morning then very light in the evening. Unless its just a little more, like $25 vs a regular room, it really wasn't worth it. We wanted to try HRH CL but after @trishadono not so glowing review we decided to pass.

The Disney + discount seems wonky. The more nights I look at the more rooms that keep appearing. So can't get GF for 1 night or 2 but extend it to 4 (same dates) and it magically appears. Boooo! I did see the suites at CSR, WL and the cottages at BWI for 1 night. We were looking in mid-Aug. For reference
I felt the same way about CL at Royal Pacific (and I kept calling the place Royal Palm when I was there). The hot food was light and once it was gone it was gone. I will say they did have a better variety of breakfast foods that could be grabbed for later ( granola, the Quaker oatmeal cups, mini box cereal).

There are only five GV CL rooms at the YC and only one of them has a king bed. We had that king room and it did not have a sleeper chair. I think you are safe with two queen beds. :)

@GADisneyDad14 a bit off topic but I love your quote in your signature line. It was one of my favorite sites to tide me over between trips. Really missing those spot on and clever reviews and beautiful pictures lately. Thanks for keeping the spirit going

Thanks for the note. :goodvibes

His site was such a great resource to me, especially in our early WDW planning years where we knew nothing. I found I could relate to his style and view on many things, plus the pictures and quality of actual helpful planning information were second to none.

Those two paragraphs in what was a very long and winding MK blog post always stuck with me - smack between discussion of a new Shrimp Alfredo dish at PVH (gross) and wait times at the Speedway. A rare personal glimpse and an emotion I suspect holds true with many WDW guests. I know it does for us.

I will always smile when I read the first two comments on that blog post page, which for some reason totally crack me up.

You feeling OK dude?

Was that Josh from Easy WDW? He was excellent!

I just couldn't do it. Having back to back poly cl with Cr tower cl meant I would want to get my monies worth aka enjoy being on the monorail and lounge. That meant I would not want to go to any parks at night lol. SO I am keeping my BWI gv room 5/26-28 with Tower cl 5/28-30 but booked Poly GV cl for 9/9-12 for MNSSHP. Yep we like that location for parties!

Had to call to cancel , sheesh fix the button already.

OH!! I looked at booking Disney+ discount for fall. Then I booked poly. Guess what ? It is not really DD's MDE. So you don't have your park tickets/AP's etc in there. I called and canceled then booked it in my account, I DO NOT NEED that aggravation with her 2 account getting confused during park pass selection, Genie + etc. So if booked with disney+ check it. It was not the same mde as her usual mde.

I don't understand this. She has 2 MDEs because of D+?

Checking in to CL for the first time I’m not sure what is the protocol on tipping? Who should I tip who should I not tip?
