Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

If I add my mom as a "day guest" so she can come spend the evening with my daughter while my husband and I have a date evening at Epcot, what will my mom actually be able to access at the resort? Will she be able to take my daughter to resort activities in guests only areas? Will she be able to take her to the CL at all? Trying to mentally plan logistics is tough!
Depends on the resort. To be safe I brought an extra magic band for my mil for my NYE trip this year.

Bwi did not charge me because she didn’t spend the night and she used my mb if

CR said they could not add to my daughters BF (could be because I booked by TA?) but did give us a day pass key card for length of stay. It was nice it was free but a pain he could not use his MB. That was 10/1/21

I am not sure all know this but in the APP there is a digital key to open your door so you could install APP for her and show her how to do that for the door.

Came back to add over the years adding a guest has been easy. It’s just not standard resort to resort. If added they can access everything, She will love cl!

Well the Destino Tower at CSR worked aut great for a last minute non cl trip!

I will do a lengthy post at CSR when I can but to compare to CURRENT cl options here is my review.
Since reopening I have done GF, BWI and AKL cl twice and CR once.

Compared to past cl trips I really missed midday offerings that were more of a meal at some. I definitely miss turn down service! Most importantly the price increase just really has been the hardest part. In Aug I got the AP discount for AKL for one of the lowest priced times of the year so that was worth trying, I had booked 10/1 weekend at 499 days prior. I never thought it would stay at rack rate but we had planned this trip for years so we kept CR portion. I added a night at bwi and gf with AP discount prior. However even with discount it cost more than prior trips .

I still can’t believe what we paid for NYE! It was $1750-2000 a night! My mil ended up alone for Christmas due to my sil having to cancel last minute, She is 82 and never done cl so I had her come and do a day at each resort. It was kind of worth it. She is still texting us what fun she had.

After MLK weekend cl trip I thought about my value🤔

For MDW with dd I told her we can do 3 nights moderate THREE nights ! For the price of one deluxe resort. Adding cl can even be more!So we booked CSR.

Thendh and I just did a king destino tower std view.

We arrived around 11:15. Three bridges was open and had Mobile ordering! We ordered and walked over. That was great. Most resorts don’t have food until midnight

I bookedEpcot for the next morning and we grabbed breakfast at RIX. Loved it there! We had 3 meals and all were truly wonderful!

It was just so easy. There are several options for food and beverages at CSR. The tower has indoor hallways and a nice full-size window . It is only a quick elevator down to get outside for the bus. So much easier than the deluxe resorts! Oh the bus rides are quick. CSR has a great location! We took a rideshare from GF after dinner and it’s 6 minutes. 6!

So yep I will miss CL, it was a good ride the last few years but $800 and up has pushed us out with a wedding coming up;
CBR and CSR will probably be our go tos. Maybe GV at cr if we can get a discount.

I will enjoy hearing about your all stays.:) Hopefully someone will post about poly soon. Gosh I miss that cl lounge!

WOW - thank you for sharing! I'm a big GF/Poly gal, as you may remember, and depend on my CM daughter's discounts or my AP discounts for my WDW stays. I like CL but only when it's a tolerable price point (which is rare these days). I've been considering a stay over President's Day just for some sun and fun, but I just don't feel like spending a ton of money. My daughter asked if I'd considered GDT, but I just wasn't sure about it. Hearing your point of view is super helpful. I know that there are some other folks here who have spoken quite highly about GDT. The one thing that I keeps putting me off is the lack of balcony at GDT. That's a bummer. Did it matter to you? Thanks again for your helpful insight.

I definitely hear you! We’ve only done 2 previous CLs and loved them, but that was before….
We have 1 more major trip with a newbie GF of my sons, but they are grown now and with a new after college job for one son and college busyness for my other son, this will be it with all of us for a period of time until they all settle in so I went big! But oh boy that Deluxe CL BWI portion of the trip is $$$. We do that for 5 nights and AOA suite for 5 to save a bit but we get decent space on each.
Will check out CSR tower for smaller trips with smaller available parties next trips!

Not OP, but one of the main reasons I book deluxe is the balcony. Sometimes I need my space! For mods, I tend to book CSR or CBR because there is so much great outdoor space. Even without a balcony, there are lots of nice seating areas where I can get away for a quiet cup of coffee. And GDT is gorgeous!

I have tried every which way of booking and the CL prices are just a 'no' for now. I have 4 adults staying at Swan 4 nights for *a little bit more* than 1 night at BWI deluxe CL. After paying for CL for so many years it feels almost free! You can book any restaurants you want and still save money over CL.

I am going to look into CSR tower for a future trip. My family tried a regular room there for one arrival day but did not like everything so spread out. Elevator to the bus stop sounds good.

Loved reading your thoughts, and I agree with so much of what you say. It's so sad what CL is costing nowadays! I didn't mind the GDT CL price in mid-December, but I do mind the RPC price and Poly TPV/LV price :crazy2:. I miss those 2 lounges so much that I know I'll buckle and pay the prices at some point. I have regular room at BWI booked for March right now. We'll see if I can be happy keeping that or changing to CL.

Well it was super cold lol so no. However the full length window is so nice that you don't really need a balcony. The views are so clear without rails blocking like other resorts.

I hope to post csr today or tomorrow for pix and more.

As I just posted, we always buy a case of water or more. Often enough, at the ed of the trip, we have a few left over. If you are flying, you can't bring it with you unless you check a bag.

MANY times over, we have found ourselves in that exact situation - with bottled water to give away.

What I can tell you is the WDW bell staff is happy to have it. I have also offered sealed drinks to random strangers in the airport or at the gas station near the airport when we get gas, and even to the car rental employees. Though the car rental folks often can't take it because they have no place to put it. If they turn me down, I can usually give it away to random strangers in the airport with little effort.

I am always amazed at how easy it is to find people willing to accept water bottles! It is especially easy if the water is still in the original plastic shrink wrap. Even if it is just the last 4 bottles of a 24 pack.

Even during the pandemic, people have been happy to accept sealed beverages from me. I dunno, in the area where I live, it is common for folks to sell drinks at local sporting events from a cooler on the sidewalk or trunk of their car in the parking lot, so many locals think nothing of it.

WDW staff can't give it to customers, but they are often willing to accept it for the CM's to have. For that matter, the pool CM's - at least pre-pandemic - were also happy to accept partially used cans of the spray-type sunscreen. They said the same a few years back, they couldn't give it to customers, but pool staff would happily accept it for CM's to use.

One time....I even gave away a coffeemaker at Pop. First person I asked was VERY HAPPY to have it.

Mind, I'm not at all condoning hoarding CL water (to give it away), but if you bring your own water to WDW, it is easy to give away leftover bottles, especially if it is good brand of water!

I've done this before...typically I order bottled water from Publix on Instacart when I go down, and if I have anything left over I generally leave it for the CMs. When I had the cabana at GF last summer I gave the fruit tray and a bunch of snacks/drinks to the recreation CMs because it was just way too much for one person (I had asked them to put a note on the reservation that I didn't want it but I guess they missed it, and I feel really guilty about wasting food). You would have thought it was Christmas in May and I was Santa.

It's a shame about people hoarding the CL bottles, I was hoping to not have to order so much water on our upcoming trip. Am curious to see how Poly will handle it. I guess this is why we can't have nice things.

In better news I might be joining that Great Resignation soon and going back to the private sector to a fully remote position with a significant bump in salary...might make our whole trip CL to celebrate. Crossing my fingers and toes!

I am going to look into CSR tower for a future trip. My family tried a regular room there for one arrival day but did not like everything so spread out. Elevator to the bus stop sounds good.

GDT is my go to for budget/short trips now. I absolutely adored my July 4th weekend stay there, much more than I expected to. Rooms are fabulous, theming is lovely and modern/upscale without being sterile and minimalist (I really appreciate king rooms being a bookable category there as someone who only ever goes with 1 other person tops). And the great thing about the tower is that being there in the center of the resort pretty much mitigates the sprawling nature of CSR. If you want to go to Three Bridges it's like a 5 minute walk away, same with the Dig Site. If it's raining the short walk down to the bus stop is totally covered. The tower is the last stop out on the way to the parks and I never had an issue with them being full. If I have one complaint it's that getting to the quiet pools is a bit of a hike, but that's relatively minor in the scheme of things. I honestly like it better than BC/YC except for the ability to walk to parks at the latter.

AP discount availability tends to be very good there too. I booked that trip like 2 weeks out just to see HEA and Epcot Forever and still managed to snag an AP rate (in hindsight very glad I did, that was the last time for HEA). I actually wanted to do a split between there and Poly in September but was overruled lol.

Regenerist OLAY
Research with actual clinical trials. My derm uses it. Great product, great results
I did the Celebration at the Top last night (omg, amazing and a great value), and was moooooving slow this morning - they kept filling my glass - so no pics of breakfast - regular spread, cheese blintzes, egg rollups with sausage, cheesy eggs. It was all I could do to eat a croissant! WL has RPC beat with the vat of sausage.

Apps tonight were great. Grilled veggies, cheese and meats and breads/crackers, strawberry soup, gumbo (I think?), and the below - chicken cordon bleu bites, stuffed shrimp (sooo much yum). Desserts tonight included mini cannoli, chocolate-hazelnut mousse cups, cheesecake bites, and the usual cookies/brownies

I am glad to see the offering have increased since they reopened in Dec. That sounds more like the desserts of yesteryear then what we saw opening weekend (but we did have cobbler). My daughter really missed the macaroons we had in 2017. That began her obsession with all things WL. Parenting win! hahahaha

Came back to add over the years adding a guest has been easy. It’s just not standard resort to resort. If added they can access everything, She will love cl!

Thanks for all this info! We are doing Poly and AK, and my mom has an AP so she already has the app (but not sure if she's gotten a magic band yet). So I will talk with a Cast Member once I check in, then!

If she uses my MB, will that cause me a problem going to the park since I have park pass reservations attached to my account? I obviously have no idea how ANY of this works lol!

She’s only using your MB for the hotel, right? If so no it won’t matter. Since she has an AP I assume she’s not using it for anything else anyway

Yep as posted you could use 6 of YOUR mbs to open the door of your room. That has no effect on anything else.

Also:
You do need to have a person on the reservation to make park passes at 7am vs 9am. For those thinking about adding family/friends in the future. The booking genie plus and ILL 7am access for resort guests was a nice perk. Many rides you can not get without it.

Oh, now this is a good tip and one I didn't really think about. I assume that is a perk that a day guest would NOT get, correct?

Wow just wow. Zephyrhills Natural Spring Water is not just Florida water. It is from a couple of great fresh water springs fed from the Florida Aquifer the deepest fresh water in North America.

Maybe you think more expense brands like Fiji water are better because it costs more and is bad for the environment it is bottled and shipped from Fiji via fuel guzzling ships. Fiji is overrun with ocean junk plastic but they have to ship in plastic for the Fiji water bottles to be filled on the island of Viti Levu.

Dasani (Coca Cola) is just like Aquafina (Pepsi) - both are local tap water from Detroit processed by reverse osmosis and tastes the same anywhere. You may be thinking of Central FL tap water that has a slight sulfur smell if not flushed out of the copper lines for example in hotel rooms that may go unoccupied for several days at a time.

Dave
Dasani’s source is municipal water from wherever the bottler is located. There are many bottlers across the US.

Great to know about Zephryrills. I won’t get into why I need to know about water bottle sources but I do and now I can add some more knowledge! Did not come here expecting this today 😆

Has anyone stayed at or seen any reviews of BC club level? Did it even open on the 27th? (That was the projected opening date, yes?)

Dasani and those other "distilled" brands always taste weird to me no matter where I go, but our NYC tap is exceptionally good.

I would not mind overmuch if Poly CL has the big carafe/dispenser setup, as long as it's not considered a breach of etiquette to fill bottles from them. Ever since city gov't offices here adopted zero waste I am trying to cut back on my own single use plastics and use a smart water bottle daily at home. Funny enough the first one I got lost its battery puck on Big Thunder, which is what the app uses to track its location, so it thinks that bottle is still in MK. It's too funny for me to delete. (When I got the second one, I made sure to stash it in my park bag for rides just in case.)
