It's funny because I actually mentioned it I this thread too that I booked garden for that reason. Lol. I'm on the 2nd floor, I could throw stuff to my kids hahaha. I doubt I will ask to switch. At this point I'm glad to be going.

I completely understand that! I think for my trip this next week I won’t believe it until I’m actually there, it’s like every road block in the world being laid down. There is a guy on the Poly boards that is kind of obsessed with getting a room upgrade, and I’m just like “I don’t care as long as I have a bed and a toilet at this point, they could put me in the worst room and I’ll be fine”

Hehe, just picturing seeing this lady throw random food and drink down to her kids, that's funny. So glad that you finally in route to WDW, bless your heart. I will tell you that the BW pizza we had a couple of months ago was actually pretty good or we were just starving, could honestly be either. We sat out by the quite pool and had a great time.

We are staying there in October so I'm seeing how the construction is going and if people are getting bumped; I'm like you, I just want A room, any room!

Seriously, I texted my friend (who was there and just checked out this morning) what he asked AGAIN and she's like "watch it there will be hardly anyone there and you'll get put in a room next to him" and I'm like "And that is when I go marching my little booty up to the front desk to see how much it will cost me to upgrade." The fact he openly talked about leaving trash in the hall and his sheets midweek has me wanting to be far away.

About that Boardwalk pizza, I swear they have upped their game. It used to be medicore at best, but it was actually pretty good when we had it in March. It used to be one of those "if we have to" things for me, but my oldest DD and I had it in March when YC didn't have any QS options that looked good one night and we liked it a lot. I'm not saying it's the best pizza I've ever had, but it has made serious improvements.

**Is it bad I picture someone pelting people with hard dinner rolls when I think of someone throwing food from a balcony? Why does my brain go to dinner rolls?

So i got my room ready text, getting ready to head to airport. I booked garden at YC because my kids didn't want view of quiet pool. I got a view of quiet pool lol. It's on the end by the ice maker so maybe it's better then I think. Just thought it was funny.

Just an FYI: the quiet pool at YC has been classified as garden view for years. There is a room map on the YC section is the Y &B thread. You can see on that map that the quiet pool rooms are listed as garden.

I think many people complained when it was classified as water view. I’m sure the front desk had more than a few requests to move to a lake or SAB view.

Edit: this is the room map I mentioned. It’s hard to see, but I tried to mark the rooms near the quiet pool & the garden designation on the color coded key.

Anyway. Been on plane for 3 hours. Still here in NY, well NJ since I'm at Newark. Apparently we were held for plane traffic and now weather up above that we can't see. Now heading back to the gate to refuel and then will reevaluate soon. I should be landing now

Oh no, I didn't realize that was the same guy, oh geez!

Ha! I can totally see dinner rolls, I went straight to marshmallows so I feel like we are on the same wave length.... round, white things!

I'm in the air!!! Yay. A flight pattern over land opened and the pilot booked it so glad. They didn't restock but this is what they had. I also thankfully had a Stella at the airport.

So we finally make it! After our long trek at the airport. Our bags were opposite side of dme. So up, across then down. Lol. Get to our room, so far from the lobby and the door unlock doesn't work. Left the kids in the hallway and back down we go lol. We got in the room at 11:05. They came to replace batteries very quickly, maybe 5 or 10 minutes. Too late for the market place got a boarding group, 17 or 19. Not as exciting as the first ti.e but thankful we got it.. Letting my kids sleep in a bit. I'm shot! Staff members I encountered were lovely. Individual toiletries. The room is pretty but lacking floor space for luggage. We don't unpack. I slept on the couch bed. Not as comfy as the contemporary. Individual toiletries and some scaffolding too.

My kids had 2074 on their last trip. They liked it because it was easy in and out. They never used the elevator. We had requested 'wedding gazebo view' but did not get it.

I put my suitcase on the floor of the closet. Hopefully one of your fits. You can also call for more luggage stands too.

You can't at YC, they have this weird slant on one side (that is smaller than a suit case anyway), and the other side is too small, they just aren't made well for suitcases which is why they made the beds so you can slide them under. I have to unpack at YC because there just isn't space, if I solo trip to someplace like CR or something I can get away with leaving my bag out (or if I had the grand walk in closet in my deluxe king at GF I just leave the bag in there), but YC has bad closets for it and no floor space so you have to put the cases under the bed and keep sliding them out when you need them.

Been seeing reports just this week of folks getting a second BG at the 1pm drop fwiw. Also seen reports park hopper people arriving after 2pm have been able to snag BG.

I've stayed at YC 3 times since reopening, 4 times since the refurb, those stupid closets with the dang slope on the one side are burned in to my brain. I bring a collapsing laundry hamper and that sloping side makes things really difficult, I hate it. While those rooms are pretty, my goodness, I could do without those stupid closets (I, unfortunately, have strong feelings about YC and most of them are negative at this point. they're lucky they're close to 2 parks and pretty)

Sitting at scifi enjoying the quiet. We each take our own row. For fun I decided to track my flight today. Thank goodness I flew out yesterday- as torturous as it was. My flight today was delayed(12p) and hasn't left yet. Estimated arrival 6:11. I would have been freaking out as I have Boo Bash tonight.

It was the worst flight (or non-flight I should say) experience I have ever had. And seems like every delay I have been a part of was either to or from MCO!
Hopefully the rest of your trip will be lovely!
