Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

GADisneyDad14 Thank you for the pics. Do you have any for the Desserts/Cordials? We will be staying at Poly CL this August. It will be our first time at a Club Level so we are very excited. It is disappointing that there may be no escorts to take us to Hawaii. I am hoping they may do that for first time guests.

For whatever reason I don't have many dessert shots. TBH usually by that point in the day the last thing I want is a pound of sugar before bed. But, I did consume a few.... :-)

I'm sure the cordials were out but honestly I really don't remember seeing them?? That's not really my thing either - I stick to the Longboards or Tambu! :-)

I wasn't there every night for these but they seemed to be a new/different selection than prior trips - but again, I probably pay less attention to this service than any of the others.

I guess I decided to take a pic after taking a bite. ???

@JodyLynC Also FYI, on the escorts...both in July and this trip I witnessed plenty of families being escorted back to the Hawaii longhouse, so it does happen. There is a "Club Level Guest" check-in counter in the main lobby, I'm guessing if I had stopped there they would have walked me back.

Arrival can be a really funny thing. It seems a second or two here or there can have a big impact between being greeted and having nothing at all. Unfortunately Disney doesn't staff the front well enough at any of the resorts in my opinion, so it's really hit/miss.

But, a small nit in the grand scheme of things I guess. Hope you have a great trip!

GADisneyDad14: thanks for your review of the Polynesian CL. The pictures were great too. You mentioned that Atrium Club is your favorite MK area club level. Given the breadth of you experience at the various club levels at CR, GF and Polynesian, what distinguishes the Atrium Club? I've read some reviews of it that make it sound bloody awful. But it's unclear reading those reviews what the experience level is of the poster. Since it appears that you're at a Disney resort monthly (for which I and everyone else on the Disboards hates you), your experience level is obvious. So I'm encouraging you to more fully explain why you prefer Atrium Club.

And Roll Tide! Do you even remember a time when Georgia beat Alabama? Did Disney World even exist then?

I have to say DD21 and I have very similar feelings about cl as he does.

Prices have gone up so much for cr atrium we are very disappointed.

What we like/love:

walking to mk

quiet pool area

lounge is unique/ fun

best view of MK

food quality is always good

Only place I have been recognized as a repeat customer

being on the monorail

THE VIEW FROM YOUR BED ALL NIGHT AND WHEN YOU WAKE UP
( I always have to check on the cr thread either odd or even numbered room gets you castle view from bed and we always request that)

Oh and listening to the sounds of MK from the room and lounge balconies

It is like saying which one of your kids is your favorite, lol I love any on the monorail.

Thanks for following along! All in all, it was a great, relaxing stay. I was honestly shocked at the CL changes, Poly food has been pretty much the same every time I've been, didn't think it could change! I think they are overall for the better, but I am going to write a note about the need for more child-friendly options in the evening.

We saw many of the CMs we've gotten to know over the last few years, which was great. A few new faces that were pretty much duds (ahem, if I say hello it's usually nice to say hello back).... but that's to be expected anywhere I guess.

Is it perfect? Heck no. But we almost always have a good time every time we go. All around, it's still my favorite (for the moment!)

Happy to answer any questions!

I would encourage everyone to write about the kid options. I just don't understand why Disney is removing or reducing kid options in the evenings.

So glad you had a fantastic trip! I thought the food was fantastic and those pictures made me really hungry for it all again!!! Since that was my first Poly experience I had no idea that there were panels closing off the kitchen area? The Chef was out there a bunch in the evening and very engaging.

The shrimp was not out on our trip during lunch but as I said in my little review, the lettuce wrap, chicken and ability to make a salad was fantastic. I loved having some healthy options.:flower1:

Where was the Longboard in that picture??:confused3 If it makes you feel any better....If I had taken pictures of anything other than the kids in the lounge it would have my wine glass in it as well.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We did actually get greeted right in the door and taken to CL. I did not do online check in which was great because we thoroughly enjoyed our check in with Sabra.:cool1:

So glad you had a great trip!! When is your next one? :dancer:

And to think I was actually rooting for Alabama in the National Championship game...how did that one turn out for you? :lmao:

I am by no means an expert - plenty of others around here with far more experience than me, I've only been going as an adult for a few years - trying to make the most of the brief time while kids are young and before life gets in the way. I've only been to Atrium twice, RPC once, WL twice (once CL). Poly is where I have the most experience and more longer stays.

In retrospect I probably shouldn't say I have a favorite "CL." I like them all, and all for different reasons. For me the line between liking the resort itself vs just the CL is a bit fuzzy and overlaps quite a bit in my head. Hard to distinguish.

You could probably also accuse me of changing my 'favorite' around given the time of year, purpose/length of the trip, and any given AP discount out at the time! :rotfl2:

But briefly why I've enjoyed our CR/Atrium stays....

- Consistently good service and CM interactions (for the most part)
- Only place I've been recognized as a repeat guest and had CMs really go out of their way to make us feel welcome
- I have a son that loves the monorail
- Walkability to MK, bus service has been very good too (CR is my first choice for going to a party, for example)
- Lounge is relatively small and personal
- I like how you always walk by the CL CM desks as you come/go, they are always right there if needed
- Great views on either side
- Emotional connection between my youth and adulthood - I stayed here once as a child, so much fun to come back and do it with my children
- Food has been reasonably good in my experience
- No room is far from the lounge
- I can't really fully explain it, we have just felt "content" here both times

Of course it also is has some cons... the elevators can be a pain (but never too bad in my experience), I didn't particularly enjoy being on the Chef Mickey's side due to noise, I despise the pool/pool layout (c'mon Disney, it's now CR's turn!).

Hope that helps. Go Dawgs.

I need to hire you as my writer. That is exactly what I feel too.

Thanks for all your great reviews!

We were going back and forth between CR CL and YC CL for our upcoming trip in 2 weeks, and the pool was the ultimate reason why we are going with YC. With twin toddlers and a pre-teen the pool is a BIG factor for us.

Can anyone who stayed YC CL recently tell me about the evening food offerings (apps & desserts)? Debating staying CL for the first time. Usually we get the dining plan but I think if we stayed CL we wouldn't need it. We could enjoy CL apps then split later TS meals. I want to see if my picky DS16 would have anything that he would eat there. Thanks!

Anyone have any info on this? The menus & pics I've seen have been from 2012/2014. I'd love to get more recent experiences. Thanks!

BTW, I'm sorry I hijacked your post with all my Poly posts! I feel bad.

For whatever reason YC CL doesn't get discussed that often around here, but hopefully someone can help.

ETA: I 'think' YC and BC CL's serve the same thing, so maybe you can find some BC info as well?

Sorry, our YC CL stay was back in 2013, so that probably won't be helpful. Hopefully someone can let you know!

It's definitely a shame we don't see more about YC, SL, WL, AKL CLs on here. I've seen very little CR Tower Club, too, but I'm content with that being more under-the-radar.. :upsidedow

Don't hesitate to ask any questions here - lots of knowledgeable folks around!

I agree! :thumbsup2

We will be staying at the Contemporary, Atrium Club Level. I'm relatively self-sufficient when it comes to making reservations - especially with how easy Disney makes it online - so it sounds like I will likely still be doing all of that this next trip since what I see is what they will see re: availability. And that's ok! I just like to know what I'm dealing with. Even so, we are very excited to be staying CL, and can't wait to introduce our son to the magic of Disney.

Hope you have a great time :wizard:.

We will be staying at Poly CL this August. It will be our first time at a Club Level so we are very excited. It is disappointing that there may be no escorts to take us to Hawaii. I am hoping they may do that for first time guests.

Hope you enjoy your first CL stay :).

Loving the trip review and pics as always @GADisneyDad14! 6 months to go - which now seems like forever. LOL. :)

Your trip will be here before you know it :goodvibes.

Those desserts look great ::yes::.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten a response. I can't help as we've never stayed at the YC, but hopefully others will post their experience. If not, you might want to try asking over on the YC/BC FAQ :).

I've got some BC CL q's!
-Does the lounge close between offerings?
-The view appears to be of some trees? Trees aren't thrilling but as long as there is some sort of outside view I'm good. (I know we'd spend a good amount of time in the lounge each day and am trying to figure out if the lounge feels oppressive, if there's very little outside light?)
-Does BC CL serve champagne/sparkling wine in the evening?

I have no experience with WDW CL but we're vets of Disneyland's Grand Californian CL so I'm trying to wrap my head around what the differences will be. Anyone here have GCH CL experiences to compare to WDW CLs (sans RPC, I know that's far above the rest)? So far I'm at: no afternoon tea (love afternoon tea & I know GF offers that, but I don't love it as much as I love the idea of Epcot proximity during F&W!), no fireworks/park view from lounge, but the food offerings appear to be more extensive and desserts look far superior.
