Today we went to Disneyland for a day trip and after spending the morning and early afternoon there, it started to rain a little bit. We decided to leave to avoid getting more wet since we didn't prepare for the rain (weather guys said 10% chance of rain...yeah right!) and head over to the Character Warehouse Outlet Store in Fullerton. We'd heard of it but never had time to visit.

Boy, I had to really make an effort to hold off buying a ton of stuff! The store had items that were for sale at the DLR this past season/year, especially items from the 50th Anniversary celebration, Christmas and Halloween.

Some samples of items on sale:

50th Golden Anniversary Mickey hats: 99 cents
DLR Autograph book: $1.00 (buy one, get 2 free)
DLR Autograph/Photo book: $3.00 (buy one, get one)
DLR Souvenir Picture book (soft cover): $2.99
DLR Souvenir Coffee Table book (hardcover): $12.99
Stitch Youth Jacket: $21.99 (I think)
Haunted Mansion toy displays: around $1.50-$4.98 (can't recall exact pricing, but it was very inexpensive)

They had a bunch of t-shirts, sweatshirts, bowling shirts, stationery, slippers, costumes, pjs, watches, statues, jewelry, pins, stuffed animals, toys and countless other items. I could've spent all afternoon browsing there!

Anyway, if any of you ever have time and want to buy DLR items at a discount, check them out! It's about a 5-10 minute drive north of the resort:

North on Harbor Blvd (you'll pass Highway 91)
Right on Orangefair
Left on Lemon
Outlet Store is on the left side: 243 Orangefair Mall, Fullerton, CA

Here's their website with the listing of all the Disney Outlet stores:

Happy Shopping!

Awsome, thanks for the coupon! We will be heading there next week. I can't wait to see what they have.

The traveling one was in our area around christmas time. I got some great deals there.

Thanks! We're heading there in April and we'll check it out. Thanks for the detailed directions, too.

thank you so much. I knew they had one but I didnt think it was that close. maybe we will have to check it out. Do you know what time it opens? since its in a mall is it 10am like most malls? I cant pass on a Disney deal!

Thanks a bunch!

we've found that the prices at the permanent stores like the one in fullerton are higher than the prices at the temporary stores. so if you have a temporary store near you, go there first.

WOW!! Sounds like they had some good bargains when you went... all we could get was some pins (which were only just under RRP), a hardcover book and a few keychains. Here's hoping we'll find some great stuff there in 2008!!! :goodvibes

I've never been to the one in Fullerton but we have a temporary store here.
I find it to be barely adiquate! maybe because it IS a temporary store? I don't know. They usually only have on person working the cash register and they are usually clueless & most of the clothing they have are either kiddy size or one or two adult sizes. I don't know..maybe it's just the person running the place? I was just disapointed in the whole thing so I may just go to Fullerton and see what we can come up with! thanks for the tip!

I can't speak of Fullerton- I'm hitting it for the first time on the way to the park friday, but I do frequent the Vegas store every few months when we visit the in-laws, and the clothing size problem is normal for an outlet. Remeber- they are selling what is leftover. So there is usually any design you could want in XS, or XXL, and not a whole lot in the middle.

Thanks for the information, direction and the coupon - this will be a great place to go our first day in CA - put us in the Disney mood and at great prices.
