Since the new rate system for the resorts was enforced earlier than expected, has anyone wondered if the changes to the dining plan might be implemented prior to 2008 as well? I don't suppose there is a way to know this for sure since each CM at Disney gives a different answer to the same question everytime you call. :headache:

What do you all think? Will they wait until 2008 to enforce the dining plan changes or will they surprise us in the fall of this year?

I'm not sure that the new rate system has been enforced for 2007. I think the only rates that increased were ticket rates.

The new resort rate system is for 2008 dates only at this point. 2007 shouldn't have changed.

The ddp will not change for 2007. The new ddp changes will take affect in 2008.

Many people who are rebooking on codes during the holiday season are finding that they are being charged at the daily rate system. I don't know if it's the same prices as 2008 will be, but they are being charged weekend daily rates and they aren't able to carry over the value season price into the holiday season.

So it begins.....

However, this was spelled out in the fine print about the code pricing.

The official line from Guest Services is that any "new" codes and rates that will be released for the remainder of this year will have the new daily rate pricing attached to it.

If you book using a code / rate released before August this year it will be calculated using the 2007 pricing.
