Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Hi,

I have posted this at the transportation forum, but since I haven't got any response and I am leaving in 2 days for CBR, I am going to ask one of you here. (please remove the posting if it is not the right place.)

I have received yellow magical express tags and I know that they are for the people who pick up our luggage for us at MCO.
I am planning to ship a cardboard box with consumable items - like diapers, wipes, granola bars, juice boxes, etc.
SouthWest says it's perfectly fine to ship a cardboard box as long as it meets the size and weight requirements. Now, I wonder if it will be picked up by Disney and be delivered to our room, even though it is not a suitcase? At CBR, does it come to my room or do I need to pick it up from the Custom house?

Also, how do they know how many items I have shipped? I have 6 tags (I have requested additional tags), but I think I will end up using just 4 (including the box). Do I tell SW or Disney somewhere, so they know how many to pick up? What if the yellow tag gets misplaced? (or am I overthinking?)

Thank you!

We have done this before with no issues. Make sure there's a yellow tag on the box. Also tell the DME CM that you have a box and give them the baggage claim ticket for the box.

The box will be delivered to your room with your other luggage.

Thank you. We didn't want to add another suitcase and bring an empty one back home. So a box will do nicely. :D
I will also make a little handle, so it is easier for them to grab it and tape the yellow tag!

Thank you so much, again!

Hoping someone can help. I am going to have Touring Plans fax a request, but every time I go to the website to put in a request it (seems to) requires that I select a particular room. I know that there is a place where I can add comments, but I don't want to select a particular room number, I just want to write my requests. Do you have to select a particular room in order for Touring Plans to fax a request?

I believe you do, but it's been a while since I used it. Just pick a number in the building you want, then comment that you don't need that room number, just in that area.

Or call the Main Reservation line and add your requests to your reservation. It's still the most tried and true method.

Hi everyone! So excited to be leaving in 10 days! Does anyone know if the store at CBR sells the Joffrey's coffee that goes into the machines in the room? We drink quite a bit of coffee and I'm trying to decide to buy pods (if they sell them) or buy a cheap coffee pot on amazon and have it shipped to the resort. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I did that too. But figured doing it again via fax wouldn't hurt.

I started reading this thread October 2016 when we booked CBR. I can't believe I am so close that we are facing requests.

We always ask housekeeping to bring extra every day and always end up with more than we can drink. No need to buy/bring any.

I have a question about the murphy bed rooms? if it's just myself and my teenage grandson we won't get stuck in one of these rooms will we? I really want the drawer space and have no need for the extra bed. thanks

It's possible. You can request to not be placed in a room with a Murphy Bed.

So, I'm trying to book a room for next December and nothing is available. My dates are the 2nd-9th. Is this resort that popular?

That's really odd! I just checked, too, putting in 2 adults and 2 kids based on the two in your picture, and it came up with nothing, then I changed it to just 2 adults, and only king rooms are available. I think that week may be Pop Warner week and CBR is one of their resorts.

And this is the week my husband wants to go to see all the Christmas stuff. Ugh!

Booking tomorrow and I have never felt so uniformed in my decision. I know I want CB and first floor - other than that- no clue!!!
I really need to be as close to the parking lot/bus stop as possible... what building do I request?

Just ask for that: what you need. The Mouse will take care of the rest. Several buildings are close to bus stops, and many rooms are close to parking.
