Does anyone know if we can use the gift card to pay for a room only reservation following a stay at CBR?

Yes,the GC is a "regular" Disney GC and can be used for anything a regular Disney GC can be used for..

I booked CB for September and was told with a room only booking I could use to gift card to pay off the room when we were checking out, as you only have to put a deposit down for room only and pay when you check out.

You were given some bad information about when the balance is due. The balance on a room only is due when you check IN, not when you check out. Just don't want you to have any surprises when you arrive.

No. Free Dining is only available when booking through WDW directly.

I just want to be sure on this. During construction the main pool will remain open? Right now we are booked at POR but with the $75 gift card it might be worth a move to CBR. We are hoping for free dining so I'm not sure if I should wait and see if free dining comes out for our dates and if CBR is even included.

Yes, as per Disney, "The Trinidad South Village Pool will be unavailable for your enjoyment until mid-March 2017. During this time, you can make a splash at our feature pool—Fuentes del Morro Pool—or any of our 5 other leisure pools."

As for switching, depending on when you are staying CBR is already very full. If you wait and FD is available there is a very good chance that you wouldn't be able to switch anyway, or that you may have to upgrade rooms.

Thanks for the clarification. For some reason I thought I read somewhere that the main pool would be closed too. Glad it won't be. For our dates there is a pool view room available. It's cheaper than what I have booked at POR. We love CBR but I'm worried it will be excluded from free dining IF it is released for our travel dates. Oh the decisions....

Packages have to be paid 30 days out. So if you are within 30 days, you would have to pay the balance when you call.

You should be able to but, remember you won't be able to book fastpasses 60 days ahead for those ticket days you will be adding, if that is important to you.

You guys are on the ball! I check in the 19th too, but will likely pay off Friday when my BFF pays off her half. Plus, I'm waiting on my last pre race Swagbucks gift card, which is taking forever. It's not a million bucks, but I still want to apply it to the trip balance and then the later ones will go towards Lapu Lapus!

Well we just booked our vacation. two rooms at CB 11/25-12/2. My son will be almost 3 at the time of travel, and will possibly still be sleeping in a crib. How wide is the space between the second bed, and the bathroom wall? Big enough for a pack N play/ Crib? Or perhaps a toddler air mattress?
