Interesting. Someone else reported that they were altering the pirate bed frames to turn them into Queen beds. It will be good to hear from people who stay in the renovated rooms to get the full scoop.

I called a few days ago and was told the pirate beds were queen. Called today and they said the beds are doubles.

So, here is a strange question to anyone who has stayed at multiple resorts; why is there such a difference in the cost of similar foods at the resort food courts? For example: at OPR Chocolate chip pancakes with choice of bacon or sausage is $7.49 and at POFQ Sassagoula the exact same meal is $6.19 and at POP Century it is also $6.19. I do not understand the difference, can anyone answer it?

Simple, It's DISNEY MATH! You know, the type that requires you to create 3 separate spread sheets, write your own programme in access AND have a personal financial adviser on call 24/7 <hee-hee>

Is there a link anywhere to the full breakfast menu at CBR?

Does the pancakes with bacon class as a QS meal credit or is the bacon an added side?

So, I'm ten days out now. :cool1::dance3::cheer2: However, I was told to call and verify my village requests at this point. Which number do I call?

Do they not accept fax requests anymore? I am reading conflicting info about this and want to be sure! Thanks for any help!

The last time I spoke to a room assigner at CBR (2013) they definitely did not. I too have heard conflicting reports recently and the only resorts that I know read/accept faxed room requests are POR and POFQ. So the only way to guarantee your requests are read I recommend calling the main reservations line and have your requests added to your reservation.

I'm not sure where to ask this, so I'll just post it here. My boyfriends father has a bad disease and everyday seems like it's almost his last. If we're in the parks is there a number that his mother could call to contact us if she can't get to us on our cells? Like is there an emergency contact number for Disney or no?

I am so sorry to hear that. I do not know of any number like that.

I was wondering... When you check in- if you arriving early- like I'm getting in 11am. Once I check in can I find out what room I'm getting... Even if it's not ready yet? Or will I get my room number only when it's ready?

My mom is coming in on a different flight than us- we are having magical express bus bring our luggage. We will check in and head right to the parks... My mom however will arrive later and head to the room. I want to text her the room number/location before I head to the parks for the day!
Plus.... To be honest- I'm just so excited to find out what village we will be in!!!!
1 week from today I'll be there!!!!!? Yipee

You won't be able to find out your room number until your room is ready.

If your room is not ready you will get a text when it is ready with the room number. Then you can pass it on to your Mom!

I checked out the Pirate rooms the last 2 days (not staying at CB, but wandered over)

Here's what I saw, and what CM told me:

38 and 39 are under construction
34-37 are done
The refurb is very light--I'll know more after my October stay, but it looked like just paint, bedding and the rug.
From a cast member: "We kept the full beds, just added new, softer mattresses."
Was hoping for queens. Really want to stay in one, but those are too small for us, since the munchkin sleeps with us.

Hi there, we won't be arriving till around 10pm.....does this mean we get the dud room that no one else wanted??

Not at all. Rooms are assigned 2-3 days prior to your arrival so when you arrive doesn't matter. Now if the room you are assigned is not to your liking, you will have a harder time switching rooms that late at night. But your late arrival has nothing to do with getting a less than desirable room.

I wondered about this too.
If the resort is at or near capacity, couldn't "your room " have been given to someone else who earlier complained about their room assignment?
Particularly thinking that Martinique will be over requested, with the bridge being out, and those allocated Aruba might complain enough to be reassigned to Martinique.

With people getting their room number texted to them even before they arrive at the resort, this practice has almost stopped. If someone would like a different room, they will have to choose a room that is vacant and not assigned to anyone yet.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. We are so excited, the last time we stayed at CBR was back in 1990, our son was 11, we knew nothing about special requests, what village, how far to OPR, we were as green as grass and we had an unforgettable time :) Now we are going back with him, plus his wife and their three gorgeous (well I am the grandma so maybe I'm biased!!) children. Colour me happy!!
