Hey everyone. At CBR right now and I wanted to share this in case there were anymore concerns about bridge being out.

The shuttles come and go very frequently.

Also, this is the picture to the bridge behind Jamaica. There is a wall and I think walking across it would be impossible. Perhaps the bridge someone is referring to is the "car" bridge that goes over the river as well.

So the entire island including the playground is inaccessible correct?

Enjoy your trip. I just gave my Sergeant my leave slip for Disney. He is a Disneyphile as well. He and his wife are staying at CBR in January. He understands me.

30 days out.
ADRs made.
Airfare purchased.
FP+ made.
Memory Maker purchased.
DME and luggage tags received.

Just waiting for the memory bands to arrive.....then what? What am I supposed to do for the next 30 days?

We're at 27 days. This morning, I confirmed that the park/parade/fireworks times are still the same, cross-referenced my spreadsheet with MDE to make sure all the times are correct in both places, and added "notes" to MDE for our QS dining picks. And now I'm about to go look at menus for our ADRs and make myself hungry, haha.

Wait a minute.......BOTH bridges are out? The one between Aruba/Jamaica AND the one at Jamaica 42 that leads to the area between the Trinidads?

Duhhhh, you could start packing. I started 45+ days out. My wife thinks I am nuts!!! And she is correct. 15 days now out now...maybe I should unpack and re-pack.

Yes, I suppose I should do this. We're flying Frontier TO MCO but taking SW back home to StL. Since we have to pay for checked bag on Frontier we are only taking one. I'm packing my folded up Vera Bradley large duffle since I could use this on the way back home should I buy souvenirs I will start getting our tshirts together and make sure they still fit

Already looked at menus.....since we're on the DDP I needed to estimate how much OOP money we'll need for adult beverages and extras....and of course, being on the DDP also means having bigger tips! I'll have to check out the MDE notes section. I have my spreadsheet on my google drive

We leave for FL 3 weeks from Tuesday and that makes it...24 days to CBR. EEEK - I haven't even started thinking about packing.
And I'm stuck at work today.

Does anyone know how long check in takes if we have already done online check in? We have a dining reservation at 1900 park fare at 4:30pm on our check in day because this was the only time we could get a reservation. We will be driving to Disney so we can drive there and not wait for the bus. We have stayed at CBR before but I don't remember how long check in took?

Not a freezer section, but there are ice machines in each resort building.

You can decline the second set, as the second booking will be linked to the first set of MBs already

But you could keep both sets, which is what I'm doing That way you can swap out the one's that match your outfit I'm going to attempt to decorate one of mine and if it ends up looking crappy I'll just wear the other one!

Hi all, We just checked in yesterday to CBR for 9 nights. This is our first stay, our other moderate stays have been POR. I requested Martinique and was given Barbados, bldg. 15. It's a great location, close to OPR. We, love love love the resort. Love everything about it. Walk is not bad at all to get to OPR.

Haven't been to the resort in many years, so I don't recall the layout all that well. Is it possible to do the bike loop with the multiple bridge closings, or will I be blocked?

The walk-bridge is closed. I believe that you can still do the loop on the vehicle bridge the connects Jamaica to Trinidad South/Trinidad North.

Coming to CBR in just under 3 weeks. Does anyone know how long the bridge refurb is expected to take? We normally ask to stay in Aruba but if the bridge will still be out then, I will ask for somewhere else. Thanks.
