Another pool question: does anyone know the depth of the pools? And do they have flotation vests available for kids to use (particularly when using the water slides)?

No flotation devices available, but they do sell water wings at the OPR. Pools depth are 3'6" to 4'9" at the quiet pools, and up to 4+ feet at the Main Pool. The main pool is zero entry and has 2 hot tubs and 2 slides. There were lifeguards continuously walking around the pool and they have activities for the little ones.

Just a question but has anyone noticed lots of kids in the hot tubs at CBR?

We were just there in June and they do have life vests available

Pictures of the pools are on the first two pages and you can see the depth in the pictures. There are life vests available at the main pool for kids to use. There should be a picture of those on the first two pages too.

quick question….trying to book a bonus trip for an employee and had decided on CBR..just went to book and says unable to show availability at this time for their dates at CBR…but other resorts can show it….does this mean it is sold out??? its february 3-9 and I didn't think that would be an issue :(

Shows a King Bed Package is available. I'd call just to make sure.

Looking for some advice please...
This will be our first time at Caribbean beach resort and I'm really unsure the best way to request a room. I've stayed onsite before and left it to luck but this time we are travelling with another family and between us we have some mobility issues and 2 autistic kids. I'm hoping to get somewhere placed not to far from the food court/main facilities. After some research I've saw a lot of people saying Jamaica 45 is closest non preferred rooms, is this true or could requesting this backfire? I told our travel agent our request when booking but she has made no note on our reservation it is due to mobility issues. Also would online check in help (I have never used online check in before) or am I best to phone closer to our arrival? Sorry for the long story, any advice would be much appreciated

Hi.
I will be visiting from Australia in Dec, we have 14 nights at the resort.
Yet, we got free dining too .
2nd visit to WDW but last time we stayed at pop.
So we fly in from L.A and I guess we will put our bags under the bus like we did last time and then if I have read the first post correct, someone can take them to our room for us when we get to CBR and check in.
Do I tip this guy? Sorry but tipping is not something we do in Australia. So I just want to make sure I know if I have to offer him a tip.
The room should be ready, cause we don't get into MC O until about 5.30pm. I Won't feel like lugging them up a flight of stairs myself.
I called and asked if we could have a room with the murphy bed, even tbough only 4 of us. hope they give it too us, otherwise i have to sleep with 17 year old son! not liking my chances as it is going to be booked out with xmas i think.

Trinidad North and Martinique are very close to OPR. Jamaica 45 is right over the bridge from OPR. I have never had an issue with requesting a room with my wife's and my physical issues. I got a preferred location last September even though I didn't pay or ask for preferred, just asked for a ground floor room because of the issues. This map shows the building numbers.

I'm staying at CBR end of October (FD). Just out of curiosity I did a search on my dates and is shows absolutely no availability at CBR on those dates. Does that really mean that CBR is completely sold out? I'm sure there will be some openings once the 45 day payment deadline hits (some people probably booked free dining without being completely sure they could get off work, etc).

Is it really completely booked?

Made our reservations last night and it looks like we are officially staying at the CBR this spring!

We are starting to talk among our group about room requests. My mom has rheumatoid arthritis in her legs/knees so walking long distances are hard for her. We did book a standard room though. Which area should we request to be as close as possible to OPR?

I would love to know the same thing:) I'm there Oct 31- Nov 8 and it says the same thing when I look. I hope that's not the case:(

Same thing for our dates in early October... for CBR and pretty much everywhere else. I am convinced something fishy is going on.

I remember doing a search for our stay a few months ago right before they released the latest discounts and it was the same story, no availability. I'm wondering if they are gearing up to release the new discounts for after 10/3 soon. They were released in late July last year so the timing is right anyway. Once the discounts were public everything was available again.

I hope your right! I was wondering that myself
