Good for you! Persistence does pay off. I honestly think that Disney may have staggered the release of some FD rooms this time since it seems there has been a steady trickle of availability after the initial surge at the release. Or those could just be cancelled/changed rooms from the original inventory. Who really knows?

And it looks like you'll be arriving a day or so after we leave. Have a great trip!
I think they were holding back rooms completely. CBR wasn't showing any rooms except pirate for our week at all, even at full price. So I almost gave up. But all of a sudden this morning there was water view, preferred and king rooms. Who knows what they are doing, but I check every morning, and they all appeared just this morning. We took 2 water view and there's still some showing. I'm so happy we got it, I wasn't happy about booking CSR at all. We are checking in the 19-29, save us a good room:thumbsup2

We are hitting the road tomorrow around 1:00 p.m. and starting the first leg of our 14 to 15 hour drive to Walt Disney World! Of course, we are staying at the CBR again. I am anxious to get a first hand look at the "new" rooms as they had just started the refurb when we were there last May. Although I have pictures of almost everything already, please feel free to put in requests for additional pictures. I'll try my best to take them during our two week stay.

I will also try to find out more about the pirate room refurb and the changing out of the washers and dryers in the laundry facilities.

I've always had a good ear for accents and languages and when we're at WDW I find myself starting to copy the southern drawl and am soon y'all-ing with the best of them. It's very easy of fall into because it's such a relaxed and comfortable way of speaking. If I catch myself, I try to stop, in case the true southeners think I'm mocking their "accents". :rolleyes1
My wife is a hillbilly...she has lost most of her accent, but when she gets south, it does come back.

Lol. Just like a friend of mine who was born in Ireland and came over when he was 8 or 9 years old. No accent at all but after a beer or two, it all comes back. And how he argues that he doesn't have any accent at all, too funny!

Will be there 3 weeks from tomorrow!!! I've seen a lot of chatter about the best places to watch Illuminations and I think we will try to watch from OPR. Can you snatch some pictures of where we should go to see it?

I will sure try. Most nights, we have reservations at one of the parks or DTD. We really like watching them from Old Port Royale or Martinique.

Thanks so much!! :thanks:and also, Never realized that CBR only has 2 floors!!! (not that it makes a difference to me) (Climbed 3 floors at Pop last year!! ) :rolleyes1

By the way, what all buildings are Standard views??

You're welcome. The preferred buildings are:

Martinique 24, 25 and 26
All of Trinidad North

All of Trinidad South are Pirate Themed Rooms. So then the reset of the buildings have standard view rooms. Check out the map in Post #1 and the room descriptions in Post #3. Should clear up any other questions you might have.

I'm sure this is already someplace, but can someone tell me what order the buses pick up in?

HAHA oh I didn't mean for you to change your plans and watch from their just to take a picture for me LOL but since you know your way around way better than I, even a daytime picture so I have a visual reference for when we get down their will help!! I'm super anxious already hehe, it doesn't show does it!?!?! :stitch2:

It depends on which entrance the bus uses. If they enter from the side entrance, Jamaica will be first followed by Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, Old Port Royale, Trinidad North and then Trinidad South. If they use the main entrance, they will stop at Martinique first followed by Old Port Royale, Trinida North, Trinidad South, Jamaica, Aruba, and then Barbados.

I knew what you meant! I'll definitely take some daytime pictures for you as a point of reference.

Is this just random which entrance they will use?

We have an 8:15am ADR at Tusker House in AKL. The park opens at 9:00. Will buses be running 7:15-7:30am or will we need to take a cab?

In all of our stays, I've never been able to figure out a pattern.

On one visit we thought we had it figured out re: when a bus returns from x they use entrance y, but that did not hold up for long. It does seem rather random. Perhaps the drivers are told which one to use according to traffic patterns/volume? Or maybe they just use the one they like?
