What are the dessert options? Can I take my kids for ice cream sundaes at the food court?

I booked a standard room on a bounce back. Should I only put 45 (Jamaica) as my request? It doesn't matter which floor. This is my first stay here and I previously stayed at POFQ and I would fax my request about 5 days out. I have read on here that is not an option for CBR right? Should I also put 51 as a request so that I could hopefully get one of my requests?

Also, do you suggest lower floor or upper floor. I don't mind stairs, but I do not like a lot of traffic outside my door either. So I guess I prefer upper floor.

Jamaica upper floor would be my request right now.

Any help is appreciated.

Dansdad and Mickeytoonstown - you are both GREAT !

There is a soft serve ice cream machine in the food court and you can this as a dessert option. It's located at the food station closest to the entrance to Shutters. There are many other dessert options to choose from such as fresh baked cookies, muffins and other pastries, carrot cakes, pineapple upside down cake, monkey cupcakes and more.

I started at 261 days and now down to 18 days! Went by faster than I thought it would:)

We arrive on the 23rd of this month and I can hardly wait. I started counting down the days while we were still there on our last trip.

At one time, faxes were just tossed when you sent them. However, many have reported the CMs acknowledging their faxes when the checked in. So, I am sure that it can't hurt if you did.

Make sure that you put your requests in the order that are of the most importance to you. Say, for instance, you really want a certain building in Jamaica and downstairs, put those two first and then a third. I wouldlimit it to three requests.

We've stayed in both upstairs and downstairs. This past trip, we were in Jamaica upstairs and I gotta admit that lugging two weeks' worth of luggage upstairs was a bit of a pain. As far as foot traffic goes, we really couldn't tell a difference between being either up or down.

Thanks! We're going to be eating more meals at our resort and scheduling more down time! So thanks for the information. I've spend so much time researching my daughter's allergies everything else has gotten pushed aside! I'm trying to decide on a trip to Beaches and Cream vs. ice cream at "home".

We will be checking in the exact same day as you...can't wait! Only 12 days away and we still haven't told our 2 daughters...the surprise is gonna be awesome!

Our youngest son knows but not older son! His state testing dates were changed last minute so he and DH are joining us--DS8 does not know. They will drop us off at the airport and then DH will circle back, park the car, and tell DS8 let's go too! We are SO EXCITED!!! Have a great trip!!!

You are welcome! Disney does everything that they possibly can to accommodate those needing allergy friendly meals so your daughter is going to be in good hands.

They were super great with her last year! I'm trying to look at the snacks now! She's a snacker in her 2 year old ways! Lol

Where is the best place to see illuminations from CBR? Thanks in advance for any replies!

You are so right about Disney math. My wife always jokes that I have a Masters Degree in Disney Math! :teacher:

We have taken many a cab from CBR to BC and it is usually ~$16 +tip. I will say this though, we have had a couple late nights at Jelly Rolls on the Boardwalk and have found that there are buses that run from the Boardwalk to CBR and the other resorts. Not sure how early they start running though, just something to keep in mind.
Really? I had no idea they ran busses from there to other resorts! That's good to know. :)

Anyone got photo heavy TRs with lots of CBR pictures?

I love reading TRs so would love to read CBR ones!

We have watched them from the Martinique beach, Jamaica beach, the bridge on the island and the courtyard from Old Port Royale. I think that the views from OPR and Martinique are best.

Today I switched from Pop to CBR. Excited but I don't know a thing about CBR. Off to page 1....

Feel free to ask questions. There are many CBR fans here who will be glad to answer.

Lots and lots of pictures in my trip report. As CJK said, there are links in the second post that will take you to each update. We had several resort days and those posts are especially picture laden.

Welcome! Mickeystoontown has a great trip report with tons of pictures of CBR. The first page of her report provides links to each chapter in case you don't want to read all of the chatter in between. She is a huge CBR fan!! Enjoy! http://www.disboards.com/threads/disney-dangled-the-visual-weinee-mickeystoontown-gobbled-it-up-5-14.3290335/

Thanks for the shoutout!
