Well...

I bit the bullet...just put down a RO deposit for August 16-24th

Please add my family to the list DH & I, and DDs 8,12&13

Crossing my fingers that this goes smoothly. Have a little trauma from our last WDW stay.

Permits have been filed for "Room Rehabs" on the Pirate Rooms, Buildings 34-30 to be complete October 3, 2015.

WHAT?! I thought they weren't doing the Pirate Rooms! What do you think they'll do? Oh man! How exciting

Does anyone know the price of a case of water at the resort gift shop? Also if they sell 12 packs of diet cokes? What about energy drinks like Monster or Rock Star? I'm trying to decide if I should place a order with Garen Grocer or just buy at the hotel. Also does anyone remember what kind of blow dryers are in the rooms? We are flying across county and the less I have to pack the better!

Have you considered ordering from Costco? Don't have to be a member, inexpensive case of water, order and they deliver to the resort and most of the time it gets delivered to your room when you check in. No delivery charge from Costco! Awesome.

Hello fellow CB lovers! Here now...let me give you a few quick updates because I'm heading out to EPCOT for the afternoon. Checked in Sunday morning. Got my request for Jamaica 44 1st floor- pool view. Great room. We always stay in Jamaica or Aruba. Cast members here are phenomenal...housekeeping has been great as well. New rooms are so nice...we have a corner room without the extra trundle bed. The sliding doors that replaced the curtains to the bathroom are amazing. The resort is top notch and busses have been amazing. This really is a great resort...our favorite moderate and we have done them all. It has been chilly, but we will be at the pool this weekend and we will update you then. I will do a full review when I get home next week, but if you can think of anything you want me to check on while I'm here, let me know.

Well, we've changed our dates, but so far our resort choice is the same!
We'll be staying November 13-22 now. DH saw a Thanksgiving crowd calendar and immediately said "call and change our dates."

Oh you're not bothering anyone. This is what this thread is here for. Welcome!

The buildings only have 2 floors so there's not much of a difference between them. We happen to really like Jamaica 45. It is a very short stroll across the bridge to OPR and the main pool. It is also very close to the Jamaica bus stop. Aruba 51 is another great location for the same reasons, we just happen to like the bright yellow color of the Jamaica buildings. Make sure you check out the first 2 pages of this thread for tons of great information.

Thank you so much! I must've read a bad webpage on another site because I read somewhere that there were 4 floors, thanks for clearing that up for me!! I was looking at Aruba 51 because if I'm not mistaken the building is pink lol! The first couple pages have been so helpful though. I have one other question. My boyfriends best friend from school/long lost cousin lives in Boca Raton FL and since it's a long drive from Buena Vista to there I'm trying to have him come visit us as a surprise for my bf. How would I go about adding him on for a night or two in the room? Thanks in advance all!

Yep, must have been some wrong information posted on the other website. I believe that you can add him to the reservation once he gets to the resort.

No one knows yet. Maybe someone will post pictures as soon as the first building is done. Which will still be several months out. The non-pirate rooms need to be finished first.

Long time lurker, first time poster! I just booked at CBR from May 8 - 13. We stayed there once the year it opened, when I was young, so I am excited to see all the changes!

Been looking at different areas - have stayed at Martinique in a preferred room once and last trip a pirate room in Trinidad South (my son's 5th birthday trip was all pirates!). In putting together our room requests Jamaica looks beautiful and we've never stayed on that side of the resort. We have a car so no worries about distance to and from OPR. Any downsides to that area? We are just getting a standard room, but need a pack n play (although if we lucked into one room with a murphy bed I wouldn't complain!).

Hi! This is our first trip to Disney and to CBR, and we leave in a week. I have already done online check in and want to fax in a room request. I have read about 10 pages of this, but didn't see any specific room suggestions. We did not book a Preferred Room, and I need downstairs with less walking for my husband, so I was going to request something as close to the Main Pool as possible but also close to a bus stop and with a decent view. Any suggestions? It looks like Aruba 51 or 52 would be good or Jamaica 45 or 46. Any specific suggestions? Also, what form do you use to fax in a request? thanks!

For what it's worth, I had seen the info about the permits for the Pirate's room and called the front desk directly last week. I am a TA and had booked my client in the Pirate room. They however, do not want a double bed so I needed to get confirmation on if they will be changed. The person I spoke to at the front desk checked her papers and told me that the Pirate rooms would remain double beds. Of course, she could have been wrong, or they may not be saying otherwise, but that is what I was told. My client is now booked in a Preferred room instead
