Hey guys. We're in the UK but we can't really call to do our requests easily with CBR. We've been told you can only do online check-in with credit cards which we dont want to do. Is there any other way of requesting certain areas/buildings for our stay? Any help would be great. Thanks.

You can do online check in without doing the credit card part.
Also, there is a UK number to get through to reservations 0800 1690730. However, if you booked through a travel agent they don't allow you to make any requests.

We're from UK too but we usually just still phone hotel number in US using correct dialing codes, well we have when we stayed at POR in the past. It doesn't cost that much as you aren't on phone long and if your request gets honoured it's worth it

Received the same notice today noticed the splash area was down yesterday.

Overheard someone saying two weeks to refurb the splash pool so take that for what it's worth also received a notice about the bridge as well funny as we have been here since Friday.

Depends on who you ask as to when the bridge will be done, while a bit bothersome, not to bad as the shuttle going back and forth is quite regular.

Here now and asked about splash pad, life guard said 2/3 weeks. Due to a large filter that went out.

sounds like this resort is not good at telling the public about refurbs

I ended up changing our building location because of the bridge issue but we are not there till Nov. so hopefully by then all the water parks will be up and running because we will be traveling with 5 kids who all love water

I hate to say it but, it is not "this resort" that is not good at telling the public about refurbs. They do it at all of their hotels. Christmas 2013 we were going to stay at ASSports and then found out they were going to do a refurb on the whole food court. You had to take a bus or walk to ASM just to eat. They told no one. I ended up switching to CBR and have not been anywhere but CBR since. Apparently, the splash pad area can not be helped seeing as how a filter went out. The bridge however, is a totally different story.

24 days until we check in to CBR! Yay!!!

When CBR is completely sold out do I need to worry about transportation? Any other advice to be proactive for a full house situation?

Nope. No need to worry and you don't need to do anything. All of our trips have been during Free Dining when the resort is at capacity. One of the things we love about CBR is that even when at capacity it never feels like it. Just get ready to enjoy yourselves!

Here now for us transportation has been great, yesterday morning there was a CM at Barbados bus stop making sure buses were running and no one was waiting long. She had a clip board and phone and she was making calls, it was about 8:30 am, and the bus stop area was packed with people going every where.

Thanks for this update! We will be there in 17 days, so I'll keep my fingers crossed it gets fixed quickly. But we'll survive regardless and enjoy ourselves.
