Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

No, not all 4th floor rooms are club level, but the club and most club eligible rooms are on the 4th floor. There is a door that separates the club rooms from the rest of the rooms on that floor.

So how would one know if they are in a club level room?

Right, I'm aware of that. I was wondering on the off chance we got an upgrade and didn't know it, lol.
While it can happen, it’s pretty rare. If you would like to be club level, your best bet is to book club level. If they were going to upgrade you, it wouldn’t show on your booking, and you wouldn’t know until you checked into the resort.

I wouldn't pay for club level at WDW. It's worth it at Universal, but not really here. We just checked in today, and since I knew club level was on the fourth floor, I wondered if this room was included, since it's on the fourth floor. Hence my question. Thanks for your help.

Well you should have Robes and Slippers in the Closet. So unless you are right next to the Inn Keeper's Club doors overlooking the Boardwalk you are not in a Club level room or on the (5) 3rd floor in one of the Deluxe CL rooms that have a setting area before the doors to the balcony that over look the Boardwalk. The (10) Deluxe CL rooms all sleep 6.

How's the evening entertainment here? I haven't been in sooo many years but thinking about an upcoming stay- how does it compare to an evening over at Springs?

MUCH more activity at DS - multiple musical acts, etc. BW activity is limited due to having guest rooms directly above. We were there in January with a BW view DVC villa, and while we agree the a capella singing group below our window was very talented, we didn't appreciate that they sang until 10 PM every night. Fortunately the toddler who was with us was able to go to sleep anyway, but not everyone can.

There are small acts on select evenings (not every night), and the Boardwalk games are also open. As @CarolynFH mentioned, the Boardwalk is open until 10 PM. They also still have out-door Disney movies, the activities posters around the resort indicate the rotation, and times for the movies.

thank you- I think my last experience staying over there it was nightly entertainment, seemed like always something going on, not so much the case anymore? (other than a movie)

It was fun. While we were there a couple weeks ago, we saw a doo wop singing group who were very entertaining. We also saw some acrobats, jugglers, and a comedian. We liked how impromptu it all was and it added to the atmosphere on the Boardwalk.

Yes there is a movie nightly at 8 PM this time of the year on the Village Green. The activates schedule is listed here: https://www.magicalresortguide.com/boardwalk-homepage.

The entertainers don't appear every night, and they never did, the last unofficial list I saw indicated they appear Thursday - Saturday at varies times after 6:30 PM. Again you will want to check at the front desk for the latest information.

Received a special offers email regarding my boardwalk inn stay for the 1st week in August. I was so excited! I logged in and followed the prompts to my “upgrade” but nothing was there :( So I called and explained the situation, the cast member checked my account and apologized..
It was an upgrade for Club Level! But only had a king bed and no day bed:( We can’t leave our son at home.. needless to say I was so disappointed. I did try to get something, but it didn’t work. She was very nice and said it’s an email blast that goes out for my specific resort and time frame . Did anyone else get this?

Screen Door General Store Refurbishment Complete with Reopening of Thimbles & Threads at Disney’s BoardWalk

The renovation of Screen Door General Store at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is complete, and the shop has reopened.

Screen Door General Store encompasses the Thimbles & Threads and Disney’s Character Carnival facades, making one big store. It’s located along the boardwalk next to Promenade Fine Art Galleries.

People shop in a brightly lit clothing store with tiled floors, shelves of apparel, and a chandelier overhead.

The refurbishment began in Februaryand took place in phases so Screen Door General Store could remain open during construction. The Thimbles & Threads section at the end furthest from the BoardWalk Inn lobby was the last part to be renovated. It has reopened, marking the end of the project.

Work included replacing the flooring with light wood paneling and neutral-toned tile. Most of the store previously had blue and red patterned carpeting with some dark wood sections.

Dark wood beams on the walls were painted white. The previously white walls were painted a soft sea green. Check-out counters feature a similar color scheme, and the merchandise displays on the floor are now white instead of brown.

The larger check-out counters were demolished in favor of smaller counters, creating more space for navigating the store.

The counters have highlights of gold paint. A blue circle on the front features gold filigree creating a Mickey icon. Similar blue and gold adornments are in front of the cash registers.

The merchandise shelves were painted with a lighter wood finish. There are new props accenting the merchandise, including jars of real thimbles and threads. New artwork made of painted buttons depicts Mickey and Minnie enjoying ice cream and a surrey bike.

At first glance, these two pieces may appear to be just displays of thread. But look closer — the color blocking of each spool of thread represents a different Disney character. You may recognize Winnie the Pooh and Piglet; Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; Anna, Elsa, and Olaf; and Goofy, Pluto, Mickey, and Minnie.

The store’s ceiling lights have also been replaced. Instead of lights shaped like table lamps with shades, the store has new gold and green chandeliers with orb-shaped lamps.

For comparison, above are two pictures from early on during the refurbishment process showing how the store used to look. Like other recent shop refurbishments, the aim of this project seemed to be to brighten up the space and create more room for foot traffic.
