Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

No usually in normal times there isn't an actual line. People usually just line up once the bus is actually there. They are usually pretty good too about being mindful of not getting in the line in front of people who have been waiting longer than them.

Ok, good to know. Thanks for sharing that. Sounds like there aren't a ton of people waiting anyway.

Just was able to book our first stay at BWV for a week in October. Can't tell you how much I'm over the moon! :yay: I never thought I'd get a chance to stay there, especially during Food & Wine, but here we go! We have a 1-Bedroom and I feel like a queen. Any newbie things to know? (So glad the pool has been renovated! :clown: ) Certainly not our first WDW visit, but this will feel all brand new to me.

Yeah in the past people would be sitting on the benches or just standing around but I think because of social distancing and the fact that they reduced capacity people would actually form a line. It wasn't something that the resort did people just did it on their own.

Thank you so much for clarifying. This is great news! We typically stay moderate or deluxe but crazy or not I'm envious of bus queues at the values so there's no line cutting.

We just moved our July CBR reservation to BWI and I am beyond excited. We surprised our daughter by saying that something looked amiss on our My Disney Experience plans page so that she'd open it up on her phone and see Boardwalk there :)
This is the first time we'll be in WDW during the height of summer and the more I thought about it, the more I thought it wise to be walking distance to two parks so we can easily take breaks if needed. The 25% off summer discount sealed the deal. Can not wait!

Does anyone know when the Boardwalk Buskers are returning? Was hoping that when the Resort reopens on July 1st that the Buskers would start then too. We have our trip planned at the BW for July and love the Buskers - it's just so hard to get information about this. TIA

I don’t think Disney has announced anything about BW entertainment returning, and I haven’t read anything about those specific CMs being called back. That said, July 1 is weeks away, so it’s possible there will be more life on the BW by then!

I’m so glad for ya’ll! We were originally at CBR and moved to Beach Club, but my real dream was BWI and as soon as we read it would be opened, we jumped on it. We also got the 25% off...what a huge savings for our one week stay!

I haven’t been back to Disney in a few years. Enjoy your first time at BWi!

It’s being reported on the Yacht & Beach Club thread that the Beaches and Cream takeout location is moving to the Boardwalk! It will be taking over the Ample Hills storefront. Great news if this is happening!

edited to add that I’m trying to link the post but not sure it’s working - sorry!
Interesting! That would be a great move!

So I just received an offer from CS to switch my current 4night accomodations starting June29th at beach club to boardwalk +$100 per night discount. CS said they are soft opening..I would normally jump over this opportunity but kids are stoked about the beach club pools. Hope others are getting similar or better deals.

What room type do you have and what did they offer?

I doubt you kids want to give up SAB for Luna Park Pool (now with less Clown). Your kids may disown you in public. You made the right choice.

Just standard view @ BC. Did not go into room details for BW..I think she said comprible room so I'm guessing standard as well.
And yeah about the pool! Always wanted to stay at BC and being away from Disney for 2 years decided this is the year!

Our question was answered during our stay from 5/6-14/21. Our private pool was open and private.
Great news. As we were discussing it is rather tucked away and unless you know it's there or are normally staying on the BWI side of the resort you might never know it is there. That was my guess as to why we never saw any reports or sightings of it being open.

We have always found it one of Disney's quietest pools. Let's keep it just between ourselves on the Boardwalk thread. A very elite group indeed. :yay: :chat:8-)pixiedust:

Does anyone have any pictures of the quiet pool on the BWV side? I made a comment to DS about the Luna pool and he actually asked if there was a quiet pool? in 2012 we stayed at CBR and even at age 7 he enjoyed having a quiet pool without a side rather then the bigger one. In 2016 we were at All Star Movies and everyone was always in that pool....talk about a busy pool! Thanks!

We have a split stay this summer with seven nights at the boardwalk villas then three nights at the Polynesian villas. From what I’m reading it does seem like night and day as far as how crowded the pools will be at each resort. Boardwalk villas much quieter and the Polynesian much more crowded, unfortunately.
