So excited that we just booked a 1-bedroom villa for our first ever WDW trip! Dates are 4/30-5/8. I'm hoping that the villas re-furb will be complete by then!

Less than 3 days out for our first visit to the Boardwalk Villa's. Very excited about our stay............this trip was booked in Feb 2015 so its been a long time coming Spent a long time at the bottom of Kook's arrival list............now we're #2 baby!!!

We're staying 4 nights/5 days so we're only considering getting extra coffee............with a towel and trash run on Day 4 we should be ok. Anyone else have any other advice?

That's unfortunate about Sunshine Seasons. They have a wonderful berry croissant bread pudding at breakfast that we like to get after we ride Soarin'. Last month, we got the last single serving of the morning and had to share. There are always lots of people at breakfast (or it seemed to me), so this doesn't make sense. Garden Grill breakfast is an entirely different thing.

Have you considered Les Halles as a substitute for SS?

As of today, the pool is still open. A lot of refurb going on. The walkway down to the buses has been closed the past 2 days as they are repainting the columns. It's really loud in our room. So much hammering and sawing

The estimate is 5 May, I believe, but the odds are definitely in your favor for getting a rehabbed villa. Just add that request to your reservation to help seal the deal.

I just saw a thread this morning about someone asking if the Luna Park Pool is closing and someone replied that a reliable source says it will be closed from 1/11-2/2.

Hopefully someone can confirm if this is still going to happen.

ETA: I don't know why I didn't check the first page of this thread. It confirms these dates for the pool closure.

So, I just finished a long (and exhausting) email thread with guest services...supposedly the pool is now open until January 31st. Based on their email, I am not sure if it is only closed for Feb 1 and 2, although I doubt that would be the case.

Hopefully this helps...although with all the conflicting information we will probably not know exactly what is happening until we are there.

I do apologize for the conflicting information that you have received previously as changes can occur at any time. Currently, the Luna Park Pool is scheduled to be open and available for guests from January 11th through January 31st and would only be scheduled for refurbishment the final two days of that time frame, February 1st and 2nd. For the January dates when the pool is scheduled to remain open, the current listed hours of availability for the pool are 10 AM and 9 PM.

Please note that this is currently the most up to date scheduled information at this time and may be subject to change.

If it's a DVC booking (including a rental), the member has to request it through Member Services. It it's a regular cash booking, you would call the regular booking number. Good luck!

I've been back and forth between which resort to pick for my August trip with my niece and nephew (their first and probably only trip to WDW), and I've finally decided on . . . drumroll please. . . the Boardwalk Inn!!!! And I'm gonna book Club Level so we all get extra pampering. I'm so excited. I've always wanted to stay here, and I think the kids are going to love the Boardwalk. They are 12 and 15 BTW. Have I mentioned that I'm so excited. Oh wait, I did. hehe. well, here it is again. I'm so excited!!!!!!

Yes. I read somewhere on here that there are maybe 2 rooms without a balcony but your chances of getting one of those rooms is pretty slim.

Yep sure can. The odds are pretty good in your favor to not get one though. I don't like to stay at the BC since your chances of getting a full balcony is 50/50.

Does anyone know if they are working on refurbishing the Club Level floor rooms currently? Thanks!

I'm curious about this too. It says at the beginning of thread " Another room rehab is scheduled through May 2016. It is thought that this rehab will be on the 4th floor which is re-designating all of its rooms to Club Level rooms. Ten rooms have already been re-designated."

Does anyone know if this is happening now? I'm worried it will be going on in August (since this get behind so often)

Hi! We're staying at BWV for the first time this February and were planning on grabbing breakfast at the bakery 1 or 2 mornings. I've been checking the menu on MDE and it looks like all the hot offerings are gone- only muffins, etc now. Has anyone eaten here recently and had or remember seeing any egg dishes? I know the menus on MDE can sometimes be glitchy so wanted to check. Thanks so much!
