Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Good luck!!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Did you put a room request in through DVC or did you do it through something like touring plans? My request is through touringplans.com. We are renting points so I don’t have the ability to put requests in through the DVC system.

thx. Dan

Same time (a little shorter trip) frame. Was worried about crowds since it's the last full week before Labor Day but still excited for a new resort!
I'm honestly not worried about it at all. Looking at room availability, and dining availability, compared to all my other trips (along with TP crowd predictions) it looks to be lighter crowds than what I've experienced in recent months. That really is saying something too, I've been during Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks this past year, plus President's day weekend, a weekend in March that must have been the start of somebody's spring break because holy cow was it busy, and we were just there over memorial day and the following week where there were hardly any rooms available still and even less dining and the trip was fantastic (memorial day was amazing actually, aside from the heat and humidity). I think it's going to be fantastic, especially with the fireworks back and in my favorite resort, we might sweat to death but it'll be great!

We also rent points and I call the BW number a week or so before and request our room location. Our favorite rooms are 3rd or 4th floor above the BRG. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. If I know our room number prior to check in from a text or MDE and I’m not happy with it I’ll stop at the desk when we arrive and ask if we can change rooms. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn’t. More often than not though we’ve been happy with our room locations.

Hello folks--We are booked towards the end of July. I know the actual resort doesn't reopen until July 2nd--but wondering if anyone knows if the to go cart on the boardwalk for quick and easy snack/meal ideas for my teens/tween will be open by then? Just looking on the website, I see plenty of sweet options (ice cream, bakery, etc.) but not a lot of savory options. We like to let them go off on their own--so smaller snack shops, etc. are excellent quick food options for them.

One more quick question--does anyone know if Big River Grille and Brewing is a walk up place or do you know need ADR? I didn't see the "check availability" link on the website, so I was assuming it doesn't need ADR or isn't open?
Boardwalk 2Go is open 12-8 Thursday-Sunday. They have hot dogs, chicken fingers, buffalo chicken, and pulled pork right now. The chicken there is really good- not the standard theme park chicken fingers.

Anyone have pictures of the refurbishment? we are staying in one of the cottages in late October.

Did Belle Vue lounge re-open with the Inn side of the resort? Hope so. One of my favorite spots for a drink.

Yes, I was told by a CM when I called last week. She said, the new pictures have been uploaded yet.
I have heard zero news about a refurb, and I feel like someone would have come on here already and said something if that were true. I'm just interested what role this CM had that they said this? I've heard many people say some crazy rumors coming from front desk CMs ATM, I'm not likely to believe them right now.

I wonder if they just meant the repairs from the flooding?
