Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Thank you! That is exactly The sort of information that I wanted to know. Is there enough room for 2 chairs on the fourth floor balcony? DH and I like to sit outside with a coffee in the morning and watch the action.

Babs
Yes, there are already 2 chairs on the 4th floor balconies.
You will really like the BWI Club level, and in particular the deluxe rooms which are very spacious. They also have 2 TV's, so no fighting ever over which program to watch.
I am sure that you will have a great time!

Thanks again! We are really looking forward to our stay! I am certain that it will be amazing!

There is barely enough room. We were in 4257 last month, which is actually just outside the club checkin room. We found it easier to shuffle the furniture around, open the French doors fully then put the furniture back out.

We are Beach Club veterans but thought we would try something different this year. We are staying club level. Wondering do all CL rooms have full balconies? Hoping there are no "Juliet" balconies at the BWI, like there are at the Beach Club.

Also any suggestions on what I need to do too see me entire ticker? Looks good in the preview but on the board it is cut off- can't remember how to do it! TY

No Juliet balconies at all in BWI. Nobody seems to know the exact number, but there are maybe two rooms total in all of BWI that don't have any balconies. (We just had a rare no-balcony siting a few pages ago!). But as far as we know, none of those rooms are in club level. All club level rooms have full balconies. :thumbsup2

We have a room with a water view booked. I am wondering whether we might be able to see the fireworks from either HS or Epcot with this view. I checked the property map and it seems it would be difficult to see Epcot fireworks with a water view. For some reason, I thought I had booked a boardwalk view but I just double checked my reservation and it indicates a water view. Thanks for any info you may have. This is our first stay at BWI, so we are excited but are still learning the room categories, etc.

the epcot fireworks would be behind you. we could see them from our villas room, facinf the courtyard (village green).. but only the tops anyway. the best spot outside of the park to watch illuminations is the bridge between BW and beach club.

hollywood studios does not have fireworks as a rule (they did have special frozen fireworks a few nights a week for a few months)

now for the Inn, I think water view and boardwalk view would be the same thin. if you are facing Crescent Lake, you are facing the Boradwalkl (unless they are talking about a view of the quiet pool)

I guess I need to make a correction of sorts. I guess a lot of people consider Fantasmic at Hollywood studios to be "fireworks" to me it isn't because there is just such a small smattering of firworks.. it's more of a show. anyway,. not much you can see from outside the park.

but it is cool to sit on your balcony and look around andd see a bit of fireworkks here, a bit there. I'm thinking a lake view at BWI, you might see wishes?

In looking at the colored resort diagram on the first page, would the Innkeepers Club be in the pink section? If not, what section is it located? TY

So excited, just booked a two night stay at BWV, standard one bedroom. 4 adults and one 2.5y/o. Not sure if the 2.5y/o will want to sleep in a pack n play, any other suggestions? How about room location, I haven't checked on line to see the options, but want to request a good spot. Outside noise may be an issue with the little one, do I just request away from elevator? So happy to finally try this resort.
:)

I'm a little late on this one but just wanted to let you know another option would be to rent a crib or toddler bed. It was super convenient and a well rested two year old was very important to the success of our trip so it was worth the cost to me. I loved A Baby's Best Friend but you have to meet them in the lobby now, they can't leave items with bell services but their selection of items to rent is awesome and meeting them worked out fine last trip. Or Kingdom Strollers which can leave items at bell service for you to claim when you arrive.

I've been revising the WL thread since it's nearing 250 pages, so my apologies for getting behind here with replying in a timely manner. I hope to have the new thread up this week.

Would you please add us for a BWI CL stay, Oct 12-19th. Thanks!

Excited to stay at BWI as we have always stayed at YC. We like to visit BW at night and enjoy the entertainment and atmosphere.

If anyone has stayed at both YC and BWI, how would you compare the walk to EPCOT and DS?

How are the buses?

YC always shared buses with BC and sometimes Swan and Dolphin. Who does BWI share with?

We always partake in the dining plan, just works for our endless stomach teenager! I noticed last year that one of the To Go carts did not take the dining plan. Is the only quick service location at the main pool or are there any of the carts part of the dining plan?

How long of a hike is it from the BWI side to the main pool?

Any other tips or advice is appreciated. Thank you!
Congratulations on booking! I've stayed at both YC and BWI and we prefer BWI. BWI doesn't share amenities with another resort like YC does so it has a more relaxed feel to it.

BWI is closer to DHS than YC and while BC is closer to Epcot, YC is about the same distance to the IG as BWI, maybe a bit closer.

I've not taken the buses from BWI, but have from YC. The YC bus always seemed packed, especially after picking up BC passengers. I believe that BWI is the first picked up, but it shares with Swolphin.

The walk from BWV to the Luna Park pool is probably less than 5 mins., but I've not timed it.

The DINING section of the thread has links to all the menus which indicates whether they're part of the DDP or not and whether they're QS or TS. For example, BW Pizza is a QS. The BWB and BW Joe's have QS options...

Just wanted to drop in and share some pictures from our one night stay on Thursday night!

Standard View. During online check in, I requested Boardwalk View. This is what we had:

It was really nice, and I wish I had a little more time to really explore it. Maybe next time. :)
Thank you for posting your photos and I hope you get to book another trip soon.

So excited - just booked two standard view club level rooms for my DH & I and sis & her DH for April to enjoy F&G. At Epcot. I really hope our stay is much more enjoyable than the stay at BC. It's our first time staying club level & I can't wait. Thanks for this thread.
Congratulations! Did you make any location requests?

One more week and I will be back at the BW! Cannot wait. Looking forward to seeing
my Disney family in the Innkeepers Club.
:yay:

Thanks! Do the quiet pools not have hours? He's good about fitting his work outs in really early or late as not to compromise family time so I'm sure this would carry on to vacation time.
I think only the hot tub at the QP has posted hours:

Congratulations on booking the Innkeeper's Club!

On this map, the CL floor is located in the building to the left of the word "INN" and just in front of the Quiet Pool. CL rooms are also on the opposite side facing the BW and Crescent Lake:

Tossing around the idea of BWI (CL?) or BWV 1BR for our late May/early June SWW trip...

How long is the boat ride (approximately) to HS? to EP? What about walking it? Do you generally walk or take the boat?

And how is the bus to MK?

We usually walk to Epcot- it is maybe a 15 min walk to the International Gateway. HS you could do either. We usually take the boat, but with the stops at BC and Swolphin it is about 25 mins. You could walk it in that time I believe.

The bus is usually crowded but it is the first stop. It shares a bus with Swolphin as well- and makes stops at both hotels before heading to MK. The up-side of that is that you are the first ones off the crowded bus coming back at night...

It depends. We usually always walk to Epcot, although the swing turn they do on the boat over is fun. The DHS depends on time of day, weather, and where you are in the resort. If you look at the map, if you are on the villas side near the quiet pool, it is a lot shorter of a walk to DHS from there than on the Inn side CL.

The bus ride is probably the worse since it shares so many stops. I dread the bus ride until I drive over to MK myself. Then, I'm glad I take the bus over. I really don't want the extra stress of driving, especially at night when the park closes.

Thank you, Smidgy, for your reply. You're right--I was referring to Fantasmic at HS in terms of fireworks. We have never gone over to any of the parks at night, and that is something we plan on doing for this trip. We got park hopper added to our fix just for that purpose.

Thinking the boat might be the best bet, even if it does take a bit longer. I hated the walk to Epcot from BC when we stayed there one September. Too hot and humid. We're going the first week of June this time around, but I like the ease of getting to HS for SWW.

Thank you for the reply! Another question- is there a "secret" exit on that side of the inn that you can use to head to EPCOT. At the beach club, there is one at the far end of the building closest to EPCOT and it is convenient to save a few steps and to get out of the heat or rain. I am a bit lazy and would hate to walk all the way to the center of the complex and then have to head back the same way towards EPCOT.

We just switched from the WL to Club level at the Boardwalk from 2/28-3/8! It will be our first time staying at the Boardwalk and staying club level, so we are pretty pumped! How long after a reservation is booked, do you usually heard from Itinerary planning? I have a few questions for them.

Thank you!!

Can't comment on BWI IPO but when we stayed at Beach Club, we never heard from the IPO until I had to contact them. When I did, they were great getting back to me and helping with what I needed. So maybe reach out to them since your dates are coming pretty soon.

Smidgy is right. Water view at BWI is a Boardwalk view. You should be able to see a bit of Wishes over the beach club from that angle. It's not a great view, but it's still fun to see what you can.
