We are renting a DVC studio through an outside company. What should we expect for room requests? We would prefer quiet and ideally a view of the fireworks of some sort. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

What view did the owner book? Standard, pool/garden, or boardwalk? Each one has different views.

Your room will be located along the front driveway and then turn a corner where you have views of a parking lot snd the canal. The rooms closest to the lobby are also near the only elevator. However, there are staircases down the hallway that bring you out near the bus stop, and another one near the path to the Studios. Being in rooms near the lobby mean you may hear noise from the RAC dsk.

Just booked our first stay at Boardwalk Inn for Nov 30- Dec 5. My three year old has already asked at least 20 times when we get to go see Mickey! She's got a long wait ahead of her!

We're staying from 8/14-22, and might nightly try to walk-up and see if they are opening or soft-opening. We've eaten here for our Anniversary dinner for 5 years now, and this is our 10th anniversary. We'd hate to see the tradition broken. I'm hoping that the fact that it's "blue" for mid-August means that's their target, but they just haven't pulled the trigger to officially open it for ADRs. I know I'll be checking daily!

Hi everyone, thanks for this super helpful thread! We are visiting later this summer and I'm wondering about room requests (BWI). My main criteria are convenience to the clown pool and the transportation buses and walking paths. We will have a large double stroller. It looks like the lobby is not on the ground floor but on the second floor? What about the hallways to the buses, pool, and walking paths to HS/Epcot?

Do the ground floor have walkout patios like CR garden wing that may be convenient to get places?

Checked in to our lovely 1 bedroom today! Bell services was awesome with getting our luggage from the Polynesian to BWV! Soarin tomorrow!

I had read a while ago that transfers were being discontinued, so thank you for posting that you were able to transfer via Bell Services.

Just got back from a fantastic BWV stay! I booked a studio, major pixie dust when we got to our room. We had been upgraded to a 1 bedroom villa!! I was so surprised and very grateful for the upgrade. We had so much space, made our trip that much better.

I thanked the manager the next day for the awesome upgrade. Now we are spoiled, 1 bedroom villa from now on.

It's super easy to change your avatar or tag:

Click on your username in the upper/right corner of this page. Choose "PERSONAL DETAILS." There, you can modify your signature, avatar and tag (custom title), etc...You can just drag a new avatar into the space. With the new Xenforo web hosting software, no more image codes, (uploading to a photo sharing site), are needed to post photos or avatars Just make sure the avatar image file is reduced.

The TF took early retirement when the DIS transitioned to the new web hosting software (Xenforo).

We were just there and did not see any construction on the Inn side, just the Villa. It was very limited and did not bother us at all.

Eeek. No. We ate there for the first time in 2014 and thought "One and done..." There was nothing terribly wrong with it, it just didn't strike us as being as special as FF, Narcoossee's, Citrico's, CG, and AP. We do have meals booked though at Narcoossee's and Citrico's to celebrate, and if FF opens up, we'll cancel one.

We were there two weeks ago. Pool area has a large scaffolding and workers making noise. By boardwalk walk way another scaffolding. Didn't seems as active as pool one when we were there. Hth

Was this the quiet pool? Were they painting the building that has the bathrooms or working on the pool area? What do you mean by "pool one"?

Well we have been here since June 21 and we love it. It has bumped GF to our second favorite. Thinking about purchasing DVC at BWV, is it as good as BWI?

I'm behind, but didn't see anyone reply to this. Yes!!! We had one stay at BWI, and we knew we found our new home. We immediately researched DVC and bought. We still do other trips at other DVC resorts, but we always do our annual BWV stay every year. We love it. No regrets at all.

I would say first, look into the resale market. You can save a lot of money (half!) if you only plan to use the points on WDW stays. We do Disney cruises as well, but it's much more cost efficient to use cash for those instead of points.

Then, make sure you understand how DVC works with limited housekeeping, points, use years, 11 month booking window, etc. DVC is only good if you're an early planner.

Third, good luck and enjoy!!

A word of caution regarding the resale market: DVC recently changed the terms on resales and took most of the "perks" away from those who do not purchase direct from Disney. (It doesn't affect those who bought resale PRIOR to the recent change.)

I just read in another thread that someone received an email saying that the bakery is closed along with FF. I know FF is closed right now but can some confirm if the bakery is closed or will be closing in July?

Just getting a little panicy here.

I just got back yesterday from a quick last minute trip to BWI and it was open. I saw people going in and out while I was heading down to Ample Hills Creamery (which was delicious by the way).
