Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

We were there for Christmas. I don't remember any egg offerings, just baked items.
Thanks for the info. :flower3:I totally missed your reply. This is what I was afraid of. With Sunshine Seasons closed for breakfast there really aren't many QS options left. It's not like there was an over abundance of them in the area to begin with. They had some decent items at the bakery before. Oh well:sad1:

Just a reminder, Les Halles in the France pavilion, opens at 9:00 a.m. It offers a tasty variety of items for breakfast that contain protein versus simply bread/baked goods. :thumbsup2

Yes, they have great selections. We discovered this on our last trip and were pleasantly surprised that the opened so early. The bread is so good!:drinking1

Soooo excited! Just booked BWI for Spring Break / Easter! DD5 and DS12 will be so excited! We are booked in a Deluxe Club Level room and check in on March 26th, the day before Easter!

This will be our first club level stay at BWI so I have a couple questions:

Does anyone have any advice about room requests? I'm thinking we would like the convenience of being close to the lounge to bring breakfast into the room for the kids.

What should we do about Easter Baskets for the kids? I'm thinking they probably won't pack well (we are flying), and I don't want DD 5, who is a believer, to see them.

Are the club level rooms recently refurbished? Should we expect any construction during our stay?

Thanks for your advice!

Yippee!

~All the rooms were rehabbed last year.
~5/10 Deluxe rooms are on the 4th floor along with the lounge, so request that floor to be closest.
~A less expensive option is to buy your Easter baskets after arrival. They sell them in all the resort shops and parks and you can hide them in your suitcase or even have Bell Services store them;)

We are staying at BWV on Feb 6. The pool is scheduled to be closed from Feb 2-4. What are they doing to the pool (just a good cleaning?)? What happens if the pool doesn't open in time? Do we get to use the BC pool?

When the BWI feature pool is closed for scheduled maintenance, guests may use SAB and golf cart transportation is provided.

Kook More good info...I always say it..but I'll say it again...thanks for keeping us so well informed on the resort happenings! :goodvibes

You are too kind, @BlueSkies, especially seeing how I haven't posted in…forever:rolleyes1

We booked the Boardwalk Villas last week for August 8-15. Can you add us to the list please?

I'd be happy to add you:)

We are heading down the end of March. Hopefully it's not a big deal. Here is what I got:

We are delighted you have chosen to stay with us at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas and we look forward to your arrival.

Walt Disney once spoke of how his creations would never be complete as long as there is imagination left in the world. It is in this spirit that we embarked on several refurbishment projects across the Resort that will be taking place during your visit. In preparation for your upcoming stay, we wanted to make you aware of the following impacts:

Upon your arrival, you will notice Cast Members conducting routine exterior painting and balcony maintenance throughout the Resort.

You may also see and hear work in progress as we renovate Disney's BoardWalk Villas.

In addition, several venues at Disney's BoardWalk are currently unavailable while we create some new and enhanced magic for the Resort:

Flying Fish Café is currently being reimagined and will reopen later this year with a renovated dining room and kitchen.

bullet.gif
Seashore Sweets', Yard Arcade and the retail shop at ESPN Club have closed to make way for new experiences.

While we work our magic, there is the possibility of loud noise at times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please know that we are making every effort to ensure your comfort and enjoyment of all we have to offer.

If you need assistance with your reservation, please contact your original booking agent listed on your confirmation letter. If you booked through the Walt Disney World® Resort or have additional questions, please call 407-939-7542 and one of our Cast Members will be happy to assist you.

We eagerly await your arrival and wish you a truly magical stay!

Thank you for posting your letter:)

Dates? BWI or BWV?

Kook please add s to two different times to the BWI first time is this September Then again late Nover to the first of of dec

Dates?

For the first time in a while, after many long weekend trips, we're finally going to do a long stay in October. We are staying a week in BWV, preceeded by three days either at CBR or Port Orleans Riverside to save points. Usually we cruise in the fall, but since we're doing the member cruise, it gave us the opportunity to surge more time at F&W. Hopefully with that much time, my wife won't rush me around the parks as much :rolleyes1

I see a nice park bench and beverage in your future;)

Great to know! I had no idea it opened before WS at 11am.:flower3:

I've heard the occupancy for the BWV studios will be raised to 5 people after the current refurbishment is complete. I'm planning on a trip for the very end of the summer & was hoping to stay in a studio with 5 people. Can I book a studio for 4 now & add the fifth person after refurbishment is complete? Is this too risky? Any thoughts/opinions are appreciated, thanks!

Thanks! Someone very wise and helpful assisted with getting my avatar going. :rolleyes1 I had no idea it was that easy! Thank again!

I think your comment will inspire other avatar-less posters to drag something nice and shiny right into that spot:thumbsup2

I think I see your dates hiding in there;)

Kook, it is Sept 5th thru the 14th and then November 28th thru dec 2nd thanks

:thumbsup2

I'm not a DVC expert, but my advice would be to book now and add the 5th person whenever they let you. Aren't some of the daybeds already in place in some of the Studios now?

Please add the Shadowens family.
We'll be at BWV June 4-10. :groom:

Hi there, I'm so happy to join this thread again. After spending 9 glorious nights at BWV 2 years ago, we'll be staying for another 9 nights, this time at the BWI from 6/2 - 6/11. We were at the GF a couple of months ago and CBR last June, so I am beyond excited to get back "home" to the Epcot resorts area.

There were also an assortment of gummies and gold fish, m&ms pretzels..along with little snack bags for them...which I thought was a nice touch!

The tea sandwiches were delicious. ..cucumber and butter...who would have thought!!

It's always about the food! !

Is the entertainment (games, street performers, etc...) on the boardwalk offered nightly during the summer months? Or select/random nights?

Thank you so much for these! I don't think our trip will ever get here, though the Magic Bands arrived today:yay:
