disney's art of animation resort - looks cute

Kinda bummed that they're going to be all family suites, but the concept art looks amazing!

one building will not be family suites it says

Yes, it is sort of hidden in the first part of the text. They probably wanted to emphasise the family suites because there is very limited availability for families in the budget hotels. I think they are hoping this will drive fewer families with 3 or more children offsite. At the moment families have a choice of POR, ASMu family suites or Deluxe.

I wonder where this will be located - says near DHS and Wide World of Sport - latter being near Pop Century. I wondered whether this was the side of Pop Century which never got opened - ie 1900's - 1940's. The buildings went up then it went to rack and ruin after Sept 11th - anyone know?

i agree, however POR is only for 2+2+1 not 2+3 and their rooms are too small for 5 imho.
we also looked at ASMu suites, all booked up over 12 months before we wanted to travel.
we were offered a cabin or ssr/okw but the cabins were more expensive than ssr with DDp, so a no brainer really:rotfl2:
the only disadvantage of the deluxes for me was the poor food courts, so maybe thiswould be a good option next trip

I believe this is where it is going, they were developing that area last month when we were there and I am sure its been posted on here before.

It's only OKW and SSR who have issues with their foodcourts. The foodcourts at the other deluxes (non DVC) have some really wonderful food coursts.

BTW, it's nice to see you on here again.

The Yacht Club and the boardwalk do not have food courts, and the beach club one is tiny, I think this puts a few people off!

I really want to stay here in the future!:)
