How much storage space/drawers are in the room. We're a family of 4 and will be staying in LM section for 8 days. Based on the picture I've seen idk how we'll fit all of our stuffin the room & I don't want to live out of suitcases. Any ideas/tipswill be much appreciated:)

You lose 3 drawers because if the fridge. So you only get 3 drawers in total. Me and my DH barely had enough room and we are here for 14 days. Long stay but only 2 of us.

Sorry meant to add that you could request more hangers to store your stuff. And use the top shelf where the sink is located.

We bought some cheap hangers at the dollar store and packed them along which helped out A LOT!! Mostly just used the drawers for unders, pjs and hair things for the girls. We stayed for 9 nights so I spent one morning doing laundry. I had picked up a cheap, collapsible hamper at Target to bring along, and I don't know what we would have done for that length of time without it. I also picked up a smaller collapsible box in the dollar section that we used to put food in. We should have brought a shoe hanger thing as well. That would have been ideal for all of the shoes.

Even though we're in Cars suite, I think this will work great for us! We have three adults and one kid in a suite. My husband's jeans and pants will take up a huge amount of space. He is not wanting to check ANYTHING. Thanks for posting that hanging travel shelf suggestion!!!

There is quite a lot of storage space in the suites. In the master you have the hanging area and the dresser under the tv that has two small drawers, about half the length of the dresser each, and then the full size drawers underneath. We put all of our pants and our you heat kids clothes in the drawers. My husband hung polis and his uniform and I hung a dress. My oldest lives out of his suitcase and didn't use the hanging area or drawers under the tv in the main room.

Has anyone seen on the news recently about how criminals can break into hotel rooms using a tool that is readily available? Many hotel chains are freaking out.

What are the locks like at AoA? Are there deadbolts still? I always use the deadbolt but this trip, I'll be alone. Not normally a Nervous Nelly, but I'm a little concerned after seeing that report.:guilty:

The locks have the bar that crosses over at the top and a deadbolt from the inside. To unlock the door you wave your room key over a sensor pad and then It unlocks. HTH.

We are driving down from Virginia which takes roughly 12 hours on a straight shot. We are leaving Friday for a Saturday checkin. We haven't decided if we would stop midway or not. That all said, what is close or nearby AoA? Should we just grab something on our way in to eat or is there a resort nearby with good TS? DH does not want to go to a theme park 1st day, or go too far. He even suggested we change hotels to a moderate so there was a sit down on site.

With your own car, it will be a really quick drive, just 5 to 10 minutes or so, to any of the Disney resort hotels that have table service. To me WDW seems so much "smaller" when you have your own car, and when you can drive from resort to resort (which you can't do on the buses).

If it were me I'd go to the Polynesian for either Kona Cafe or 'Ohana. Or perhaps over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for any of their three TS spots Boma, Sanaa, or Jiko.

That said, the AoA food court is supposed to be among the best quick service on property.

We drove down from NC. We left a little later in the day so we stopped south of Savannah for the night and got an early morning start the next day. Checked in early, ate lunch at Landscape of Flavors then went to dinner at Boma at AKL that evening. We were fine getting in the car to go somewhere else since we had plenty of time around the hotel that day.

If we stop we were thinking just south of savannah too, so good to know we will make it in plenty of time to relax before dinner! This makes me a little less weary of making an ADR for that night.

We're about 9 1/2 hours away without stops. We actually stopped in Kings Bay, GA and got a leisurely start and still had time to walk around AoA, the 2 year old to take a 3 hour nap and to head over early to AKL. We drove straight through on our way back, but we enjoy the relaxing start to our trip by breaking up the drive there. Good luck with your planning! We really enjoyed AoA & hope you do too!

My husband was wondering what time you left GA in the morning.

I don't think we left until around 10. We are military & stayed on base so we went to the commissary on base for some breakfast items before we left. It might have been after 10. I want to say we checked in to AoA around 1 and they had our room, with our room requests, all ready for us!

If we arrive at the resort around 10:00 a.m., would we be able to check in and get our room keys and all vouchers/ paperwork? Even if our room isn't ready?
