Am I the only one who wishes the rooms were like the other values with room doors directly to the outside? Don't get me wrong...at first I thought it would be nice, less like a motel....but now I'm thinking it means more walking...to the doors and down the hall to your room...and can't really see any benefit? No?

My DH is with you 100% . When I am running around the room getting our last min things together Dh would take the kids out to look over ANDY'S ROOM . Or they would walk and look at the windows and doors each day they would pick a best decorated room .

I agree! Guess you'll need to stay in the Little Mermaid section where the traditional value outside doors will be. I can't afford the suites anyway. :goodvibes

I too am with you. I like having my door open to the outside.

I guess not until you mentioned the door on the outside did it occur to me that when we do open the door all we will see is a hallway and more doors. It will be interesting as to how I will manage this as I will have a stroller and my 5 year DGD.

I think having the doors like this will be neat and different. I have never stayed Pop or any of the All Stars yet. But I have stayed at some Moderates and they open to the outside. Looking forward to March 2013 and our stay.

I've been thinking about this and honestly don't understand how it would possibly lead to more walking. Either way you still have to go up stairs and walk down a hallway to get to your room, whether you're walking inside or out.

With a ground floor room, which is my preference, my perception is it's "quicker" to get to my room because I can go directly to it -- I don't need to use the central elevator or stairwells. Like I said, perception. :goodvibes

I had asked this question on the phone the other day to the CM and was told the LM rooms will not have elevators. I was suprised because I knew Pop does. But then again I was also told that the LM buildings were not the old buldings by another CM. :confused3 I dont know what to believe anymore !

If anyone else is calling in the next few days if you could please ask?

Its like multiple choice with the CMs at reservations. lol

I'd be okay with no elevators except for when I first get there or am leaving because of my luggage. But that would be crazy if there weren't any.

Never trust a CM. You will get a different answer everytime. They should have elevators. I would think that for handicapped they would have to. I know they can have them on the first floor but for the older people and families with strollers they would have to. It just does not make sense not to have them.

Seems like that would be against MANY laws for disabled persons... given recent lawsuits I would be shocked if it did not have elevators.

Not sure how accurate The Mouse For Less website is but it says there are elevators on there. Also, when the LM building were built it was many years ago when it was going to match the buildings at POP so I'm sure they were designed with elevators to go right in the center of the buildings at they are at POP. I can't imagine they would close that center section off and not use it for elevators because I'm sure the shaft is/was already there. I think they'll have elevators. 4 flights of stairs aren't something most people would want to walk. Especially those with strollers and suitcases and all that. 2 floors maybe but not 3 or 4.

Aren't the Little Mermaid buildings 4 stories? There's no way they'd not have elevators for anything over 2. I just can't imagine it!

FYI, the LM rooms are not opening until late October. That is according to the oh so helpful CM I just spoke to on the phone. I hate it when I know more than the CM that I speak to does...........

Ok I called. The CM I got THIS time said they DO have elevators. :headache:

Now that makes sense.

Nic - That made me chuckle. When free dining first opened up I had a Cm argue they dont do that at AOA. I told her it just came out . After 20 minutes of verifying I was right , she then said "They dont open till the 18th of Sept ." lol To funny... After a bt of back and forth she said " Oh okay they must have changed it ! It was December , then Sept 18th , but I see they changed it to the 15th !" . What can you do ? :lmao:

Now ... about that CM that said those were not the old Pop buildings.. Not even gonna go there ! lol

You scared me!!!! :scared1: I thought you were going to say that there was a problem and LM was going to be delayed.....We're not going until Nov., but you never know. Also, we have an entire list/rollcall of members who are anticipating their trip to LM in Sept. Please :worship: Disney, let there be no delays. LOL
