I am SUPER excited. I love deluxe resorts...but this looks like a really affordable fun way to say. I looked into adding it to our upcoming stay, but we are keeping what we have (Beach Club Villas RCI trade) since adding additional days with dining and tickets, when we don't need the tickets, was too pricey. So excited. Look forward to hearing what people think of it.:cool1:

Oh, no!! I absolutely hate the color design. It looks like a eyesore to me - it is going to run the lovely lake views from POP?

Well, I was seriously considering AOA for a 2012 stay, but now that I've seen what some of the outside of the blgs will look like, it holds no appeal for me at all.

Oh, well....that's the great thing about Disney - there is a resort for almost everyone!

(p.s. Wave: the host of this thread might want to change the name to AOA Resort rather than hotel as Disney does not call any of it's resorts hotel.:thumbsup2 )

I too would love to stay at AOA for an upcoming trip....but just don't think we can afford it being we need a family suite and it's $50 more per night than ASMU. :(

I'm loving the way the buildings are looking. It seems like it's going to be one of those things that people either love or hate.

Personally, I think it's going to be fun to be so immersed in the colors and themes. Getting more and more excited for my stay.

How is art classified as a value?

I we wanted to stay there next Christmas and wanted to compare prices so I chose July 4-8 next summer

I get a price of 668 for pop, 911 for coronado and 1658 for art

How on earth is that a value resort when it's more then a mod resort

We were wondering if someone could tell us when the little mermaid buildings in the AOA resort are suppose to open. We thought it was suppose to be December in 2012 and im just making sure its around the same time! Also, we were wondering if anybody knows for sure if the AOA and Pop Century will be sharing the same resort bus or will there be seperate buses for each resort? If someone could answer our question , we would greatly appreciate it!

Hi I can give you what info I have been told. LM is scheduled to open Dec 2012. I did call and ask about the bus and was told Me would share of course but the park run will be only AOA . Hope this helped .

Just saw the pics on the disney blogs, and they look AH-MAY-ZING!!!!

We are excited my only wish is Lion King would open early we are going Sept 14 -22 and its not scheduled to open until Oct. Oh well that just means one more reason for a trip to Disney :rotfl:

will the pools be finished when the resort opens? looking into booking a Mermaid room for next July

There is great debate on here over LM opening date . Myself and others have been told this is the last phase to open Dec 2012. Everything I have read supports this . Others have been told it will open in July:confused3. As of right now you can only book Cars and Nemo . The pool is being put in now for the Nemo area.

The pictures are interesting... They seem to reflect the official information on the resort web page that there will only be three beds rather than the four that ASMu suites have. I had been hoping that the CMs who insisted there would be a sleep chair were right because three beds isn't enough for our group of 6 - that would mean my teenage son would have to share a bed with his grandmother or one of his sisters, and that's not going to fly. :( The ASMu bedding situation is far better, with two twins and a double rather than two doubles in the living area, and that combined with the price difference would make the AoA suites a big disappointment for this family.

Is it too much to hope that the web site and the mock-ups are both wrong?
