staying in AKL from Aug 2-9. our first time in a deluxe. We stayed at AoA last time. Any noticeable difference in amenities between value and deluxe for those that spend majority of time at parks?

Im still struggling to see the differences between CBR and AKL..apart from the animals...the food court, pool and rooms all look the same?? We can only afford a standard room so savannah room is not an issue...people keep saying oh you wont regret it..but whats the difference? thanks

Indoor hallways
Balcony - even with a standard view you've got extra space to hang out
Fantastic food choices
Grand and stunning lobby
Feeling like you're nowhere near Florida
Very interesting CMs actually from Africa that have some amazing stories and insight

Can anyone tell me if the DVC 1 bedroom has kitchen? Stove, fridge, etc.
We are thinking of renting points and I thought I saw one in floor plans.
If so, do you bring your own dishes, etc.
Staying a week or more, would you cook for yoursefl?
The beauty of vacation for me is I don't have to cook but I guess it could save $$

For us, it's the inside hallways and balconies.
We have 2 young kids and it's nice to be able to go out on the balcony for an adult beverage while they sleep.
Plus, I like to leave our curtains open for daylight and with the motel-style resorts, you have people walking by your window.

Deluxe studio savannah view which floor is that on and which trail? Also if I book Wanyama Safari would I have time to get off plane at 1:20, take DME to resort, and have time to make it? Thx

The 1 bedroom villas have full kitchens, including dish washer! They are fully stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, etc.

And, NO, I won't cook while on vacation at Disney, but just having the full size refrigerator and being able to stock it with perishables is a $$$ saver!

What do you stock it with to save $$? If you are not cooking? Can we bring in our own beer?!! That would help.

Say we rent points and stay 8-10 days. What would you use it for , dead of summer.
I have never gone in summer before and we don't do well with heat so just thinking it through. If we do this, we will plan plenty of resort time for sure.

Does anyone have photos of the comparison between standard rooms and deluxe/concierge rooms at Animal Kingdom? On the first page of this thread, it states that there is a difference in square footage. I'm wondering if it's noticeable.
